Best Guest House in Tsetserleg, Arkhangai. Extremely comfortable and very good restaurant into the guesthouse. Murray, the owner of the place, is extremely helpful and will help to organize any kind of trip. I highly recommend !

We booked our Mongolia tour with Fairfield and are so glad we did. The team were an absolute pleasure to liaise with. Fairfield itself is a beautiful space to relax and the food in the cafe is great. We also got to experience Fairfield's mini Nadam Festival which was an amazing insight into Mongolian culture and really well organised. I can't recommend Fairfield enough - special thanks to Murray for all his help in making our Mongolia trip unforgettable.

We had to wait for 72 minutes for an order of burgers, a pizza and a soup. When we had finished with our burgers the pizza we ordered for the kids still hadn't arrived so we had to wait for it and then take it with us as we were already late for our next appointment. Burger meat smelled and tasted funny as if it had gone slightly bad. Also, some foreign tourists who came in after us got served earlier than our group. Perhaps they had ordered their burgers ahead? The wait staff was apologetic and the tea came quite fast. All in all I thought this was an overpriced place with lousy service speed and below average food.

Very nice staff and pretty rooms. The shared bathroom was clean. The restaurant has very good food and cakes. Nice difference after sheep meat all the time. The most important thing: At night it is quiet, no party!

Visited in May 2019, if you a backpacker, American, or Westerner, this is the most "western" establishment in this town.... i ate in the restaurant twice, food was okay, they really try hard and given the remoteness of this hotel/restaurant, you really can't complain...menu is simple, but sufficient. I didn't stay in the hotel, but it looks basic and it's super cheap in price... I believe pretty much all western travelers stop here to sleep or eat, they really cater towards that.... it feels like a hostel in the lobby, lots of good information, people sitting around trading info, brochures, tour information, etc... they definitely deserve 5 stars for trying their best. There is a nice monastery a few blocks away on the mountain top, a movie theatre and mini markets around the area to stock up!

Had our best dinner here after travelling for about 2500kms. Rooms were not suitable for our family though.

Great place. Says 5 star, but don't expect 5 star (due to the nature of the country you're in). Still completely brilliant. Brilliant food. Great for a stop when travelling. I'll be going back.

Good food and excellent drinks but extremely slow. Do you really need 45 minutes to make a hamburger? We were the only customers ordering food. I wouldn’t come again, sorry. Driving distances are very long, and spending so much time waiting for pretty simple food is not ok.

Great food and cafe! The owner helped us plan our entire overland route and shared his map with us! Definitely stop in for a coffee, overnight stay, tour info, or to ask logistical questions

If you need a basic room and a good meal in Tsetserleg, this is the place to go. Friendly staff, quality fresh and made to order food and comfortable enough rooms. Bathrooms are shared, but maintained in good condition and clean. Not a 5 star hotel, so have realistic expectations, but definitely a 5-star review for being exactly what they claim and being very good at that! Looking forward to my next visit.

Amazing guesthouse. We used them to book our whole Mongolia tour. It is owned by an Australian, and he understood exactly what they were looking for. We are a young family and our guide was able to design a tour that worked for young children.

Great place! I have wandered across Mongolia and it's the first time I witness such nice standards in the country. Friendly staff, English and Mongolian speaking, nice food, clean and cosy place. Also met the friendly owner. Might book one of their rooms soon. :)

Great guesthouse! Good wifi, clean rooms, hot showers, laundry service, parking available for cars and bikes. The owner is friendly and honest, and will help you with whatever you need. The cafe is also a nice place to hang out and get a western meal if you are looking for that. Burgers, pizza, ect.. It can take a little while to get food (30-45min), so maybe not ideal for a quick stop over, but the food is made fresh!

We had a great time at Fairfield! Super friendly and helpful staff, great food (veggie options readily available), great coffee, fair price, very clean rooms, sheets & toilet! English explanation with pictures in case something is not straight-forward western style anyways. Prices were printed, some more info on the webpage, therefore very transparent. They even helped us book our bus tickets and their website generally offers a vast amount of knowledge! Good place to recharge yourself and delve into great food! Thank you guys so much! <3

I great place to be! You can bring your own booze and drink it in the cafe downstairs and that's not the only good thing about the place!

This a nice place to stay. The rooms are clean, lightly and well organized. Bathroom is shared with the other guests. The rooms can be booked with or without breakfast included. The included breakfast included a small meal, yoghurt, toast or pancakes, and a coffee or tea. There is also a full English breakfast, but you will be charged extra, which was a but confusing for us in the beginning. They also provide lunch and diner. They coffee and their fresh made bread is really tasty. The village is a nice and quiet. A good place to relax.

Consistent quality standards are rare in Mongolia, but Fairfield never dissapoints! Our experience with the food, staff and accomodation in the rooms are always satisfying.

I received this address from a friend in Ulaanbaatar…and had confirmation this is the best option in town from all other “hosts“ I met on the road. So great that I decided to stay one more day. Thanks again for all the hints and suggestions for my road-trip.

Nice guest house! With good bakery and black coffee. You can also order and eat a very tasty pizza ! Amazing for countryside place! Little beat expensive. Very good place in Tsetserleg.

It is the best accommodation I come across in Mongolia. The standard is 5-star: clean, shower is working, toilet is probably equipped with papers, bed is clean and comfortable, coffee is good … Price is very friendly: 25K MNT in 6-bed dorm and just under 60K MNT in 2-bed dorm. This kind of budget accommodation gem is not often found, maybe 1 or 2 in each county; this is THE ONE in Mongolia, in my opinion. Host is very helpful, patiently helping to arrange onward accommodation and transport.

The guesthouse has kind employees who can speak English and good service. The bed room and bathroom were clean. They provided one shower towel. However, soundproof was weak so it was noisy at night. The breakfast was overall okay but pizzas werent good.
