Open layout, friendly staff and food tastes great. Buddha bowls are awesome. Go see morning street and find some food or drink you like.

Overall a really nice experience. The outdoor dining deck offers a beautiful view. We had the Duck Breast and the Lamb Chops. Both were delicious. The lamb was cooked well and remained tender while the sauce with the duck was rich and had a nice depth. The chunks of bacon in the mashed potatoes were also a nice touch. We wanted the risotto, but they didn't have a few things on the menu. This was a regular occurrence while in Ulaanbaatar due to COVID supply chain issues.

Route 22 is a European-fusion restaurant and wine bar located in the heart of Ulaanbaatar. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with exposed brick walls and wooden beams. The menu features a variety of dishes, including pasta, pizza, steak, and seafood. There is also a wide selection of wines available, both local and imported.  From what I heard they also serve breakfast. We recently had the opportunity to dine at Route 22 and I was very impressed with the food and service. We started with the Smoked Salmon Salad which was fresh and flavorful and rather big. For our main course, we shared the Tagliatelle Mushroom Pasta, which was cooked perfectly with a delicious creamy mushroom sauce with a nice balance of truffle oil.  The pasta tasted almost homemade. The service at Route 22 was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He made sure that we had everything we needed and he was quick on his feet. The atmosphere is very inviting, cozy and the noise level isn't that bad. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience at Route 22 and would definitely visit again. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting or who lives in Ulaanbaatar.

Was reluctant to go because previously heard many complaints about food quality but was pleasantly surprised. Would definitely visit again.

During my experience to Route 22, I experience good customer service; employees are helpful and kind. I like the mini-hot paper-ish towels prior to a meal. The Quinoa Spinach Stuffed Mushroom (sweet, savory, wonderful to share, a perfect size before a main meal though feels like not enough alone for a filling satisfaction [though leaves one wanting more concerning taste in only good ways, very tasty]), Glazed Tofu Appetizer (somewhat syrupy-saucy sweet like a mini-tofu waffle, a nice snack before a main course meal, may not be too surprising beyond tasty for any familiar with tofu), Cinnamon House Special Tea (a phenomenal hot/warm drink especially for a cinnamon aficionado, super sweet in a soft sense so that the sweetness is not overwhelming though quite satisfying, to me), Ginger House Special Tea (a phenomenal hot/warm drink especially for a ginger aficionado, super sweet with a stronger ginger spiciness in a soft sense so as to not be overwhelming though satisfying, to me), Chickpea Coconut Risotto (a delicate meal with tinges of coconut in each bite, the vegetables mix well with the cream, the flavors are soft with a lingering sweetness like a sweet coconut rice porridge), Mixed Vegetables (fresh vegetables, the sweet potatoes are really good, if you want to add more moisture ask for a preferable dipping sauce or clean hot water in a bowl, if no other part of the meal comes with any moisturizing portions), and the Fresh Buddha Bowl (Vegan) (clean ingredients, nice presentation, the Misou Soup prior offers a good balance to prepare the stomach for the meal, the meal tastes better with full spoons of more than just one ingredient, quite delicious and satisfying taste wise as well as filling wise) are all very satisfying meals (of which, concerning the larger main course meals, I save a bit for later [when the meals taste just as good]). I like the decor of the establishment; a spacious interior with art to appreciate on walls as well as cozy seating arrangements all around offering a good amount of space between patrons. Outdoor seating may be seasonal. The establishment takes different forms of payments.

Excellent food, prepared with culinary expertise. Will gladly come again. Only annoying thing is the qr code menu (very inconvenient) instead of the classic paper version.

Going around UB and discovered this place with some friends. Ordered a Penne paste, and a peach ice tea. Would recommend this place!

Used to be a very nice place. Now meh.. 3 meals out of 4 we ordered were not available - 75% of the food we wanted off their hard copy menu that the restuarant itself handed to us! Unbelievable.

Beautiful place with pretty decent food. Most staff members don't speak English, so expect some confusion or a different meal. It can be fast or take a long time - it's always a matter of luck. Yesterday I got lucky and both food and service was great.

Great food, service lacking. I went up to the bar to order and pay, if you are fine doing that then it's a great option. Tomato soup was excellent and pasta al dente.

I really love this place. Advise you to try their pastas. A very good selection of wine. (It is wine bar). Also I celebrated with my colleagues New Years corporate party there. Service was at high level. So really recommend this place cozy atmosphere in the city center with good price

A great spot for a nice dinner. We got a large beef steak salad, which was plenty for 3 people, and a cheese pizza, which had a nice thin crust. Good selection of wines, but don’t expect a full on “let’s you try the wine first” kind of wine service.

Very nice european and gourmet menu, options for vegetarians and vegans. Service is not very fast and price is high, but worth it.

Had a steak for 3 with friends for lunch on a birthday occasion. The steak was very hard and my friend could not even finish halfway. Had a previous bad experience at Route 22 with bad (very long wait time) service. Would not recommend to my close circle of friends but maybe it was just a bad day on these ocassions...

i have bad experience, waiting food very long and they sent our breakfast to next table (customer come after us), they didnt realize untill i complaint 2x that those my food stranded to next table, then waiting again about 10 mnt because they looking for/lost our food on the back. finally our food coming exactly same food that i meant but the food already cold 😢.

good vegan and vegetarian options🌿, chill atmosphere, outside seating available (nice for the afternoon). very very slow kitchen tho. would recommend making a reservation. ♿️entrance and bathrooms not wheelchair friendly.
