First show of da season, with a classic Italian Opera of Aida! The theatre received a new coat of paint over the last month, looking as good as new but still preserved with the Soviet style. The theatre sets were majestic, performers are professional… and the staging was “wild” too, with horse, eagle and a snake joining in the show. UB’s one and only ballet&opera theatre. These days very few buildings conserved Mongolian old architecture, this building is one of them. Nowadays Mongolian traditional ballets growing faster so if someone new in this town should watch Mongolian ballet here. FYi theatre only works in weekends☝️

Built in 1963.

I loved the decor and interior, especially the chandelier at the center of the hall. Definitely check it out. The performance was 10/10.

Just watched the Beautiful Mongolia performance at this magnificent theatre, so glad we went. If you're in Ulaanbaatar make an effort to see this, you won't be disappointed.
