Perfect destination to get away from the city. I suspect the last poster (who keeps deleting and reposting his comment) is a disgruntled ex-customer. We've been here before and spent 4 days this weekend. Saw nothing of snarling dogs, collapsing trailers....not sure what he was on about. Butch was busy all day every day(mowing, taking out dead trees) and even took the time to help us back in. Absolutely gorgeous weekend.

Junk everywhere, aggressive growling, snarling, pit bulls in my campsite with no owner to be found. Water supply well is 50 feet away from leaking dump station. Water out of tap, with my filtration system is brown and smells like sewage. Apparently, it’s private property so animal control did nothing. Owner is a feeble old man who embraces the non-paying degenerates, who have multiple court dates ranging from drug to vehicle charges, over the paying customers. Verified with county attorneys office.

We were very pleased with our visit last weekend! The lots were fairly level, and we were shown exactly where to go upon arrival. The lady helping us sold us some firewood, and checked on us during our stay. Very quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be visiting again!

A last minute decision led to us finding a little gem of a campground. Freedom lake turned out to be a quiet weekend getaway. The owner answered every question we had and was very polite. We will be coming back very soon!!!! And also very close to Waterloo for shopping, restaurants, and some nice winery's.

A quaint and quiet RV campground with plenty of trees and a couple of small lakes. Conveniently located between Waterloo and Redbud, we found plenty of thrift stores and non-franchise restaurants. We are hoping for a return campout

This was a great hidden gem. Peaceful, quiet with 2 beautiful small lakes. The owner/manager goes out of her way to make you happy. It's in the country, there are lots of deer around.
