In our three bedrooms, Switch Electric installed new electrical ceiling boxes, appropriate controls, and ceiling fans (with lights). We also had them convert three outlets from being switched to unswitched. Also, in one room, we had them add a dimmer and a track lighting ceiling box. (We then installed the track lighting ourselves.) Additionally, per Redmond electrical code, then install arc-fault protection. The work required working in the attics. We supplied the fan/lights (from Seattle Lighting in Bellevue). They charged no dispatch fee and were in the middle on price compared to two other estimates. They were also the only one to include the legally required Redmond electrical inspection. On the workday, they arrived with a team of three in the morning. Their work was professional and neat. We noticed two small problems caused by miscommunications. They cheerfully come back for an hour and fixed the problems. The work passed Redmond inspectional easily. We love the fans and the lights and highly recommend Switch Electric.

Brian and Morgan arrived on time and completed the generator installation in the expected time. This was a difficult installation high above the ground and they were clever enough to find a safe way to do it. They were respectful and left everything clean. I’m incredibly grateful for my experience with Switch Electric! We had our panel changed and all out of our outlets and light switches changed as well. They communicated well and arrived on time every day! Riley was very kind and accommodating and and he answered all of my questions! There was a mishap with the style of the new switches that got installed due to a small miscommunication. They had every right to tell me I was out of luck since I was the one that didn’t notice the error in the quote, but they were super willing to come back out and fix it even though it cost them afternoon of work. I’m super thankful and would recommend them x1000!

Got a hardwired EV charger installed. Customer service interaction with the Switch team through the whole process was great -- multiple touchpoints through the whole process, useful head's-up notifications, and they offered helpful pointers even before I had committed to their quote. I got 3 quotes and the Switch Electric one was competitive. The technician who did the work was professional, on time, patient with my questions, and friendly. I am very satisfied with the final result of my installation.

We needed to add a 50 amp outlet and two 30 amp outlets for our new induction cooktop, speed oven and convection oven. The job was a bit more complicated since the wirings needed to be routed from the circuit breaker box to outside wall of our house, through crawl space and up the walls behind the cabinets and under the island. We had 5 bids and while Switch Electric wasn’t the cheapest, they were very competitive. Most importantly, we really appreciated estimator Kory who explained the job scope and answered our questions without being aggressive. We also really appreciated the three young electricians who came out to do the job, Riley, Cody and Cortney. They were very polite, efficient and professional. They worked almost all day and cleaned everything as if they were never here. We are both retired retentive engineers and their completed work far exceeded our expectations. Switch Electric installed a whole house generator for us. From the estimate to the completion of the project, everyone was friendly and efficient. The work started on time and was completed ahead of schedule. All of the workmanship was done in a professional manner with very clean wire runs. I had 3 different companies come out to quote me for a new home generator. Daniel fro. Switch Electric was the most thorough of them all. He took enough time to explain options, how it all works and what the process would be. Questions he didn't know the answers to, he contacted me back with a couple hours. (The other companies spent less than 15 min and had much higher quotes!) Installation process went very well. Riley, Seth and Joseph we also very professional, prompt, thorough and friendly. After getting bids from about four companies hi chose Switch. They were not the cheapest, but the cheapest did not install Generac and after reviewing all of the generators available, I’ve found Generac to be one of the best rated. I thought Switch was the best choice because their price was half of what the big companies charge and they had the work done in only a few hours and the generator up and going. The technicians worked very good. Didn’t leave a mess. Made sure everything was finished and working before they left and that I knew how to get a hold of someone if something went wrong. i’ve already had one service done and the same thing with the service technician. He did a great job. He explained everything to me and he made sure I knew who to get a hold of if something went wrong. I have been so thankful to have the generator this winter because of how long power has been out in my neighborhood during the storms. If you can’t come up with the amount of money needed for the installation Switch Electric will finance. I have already referred another customer and if she goes ahead with installation, we both get a free maintenance from Switch. I consider them an excellent company because they make sure you know all about the product how to manage it and what to do if there’s a problem.

We used Switch Electric for a solar installation and panel upgrade on our house, and a 240v circuit, subpanel, and EV charger installation in our detatched garage. Both Alex (panel) and Seth (solar) were thoughtful, clearly communicated the process, professional but personable, and performed very high quality work. As our project evolved, we had a number of schedule and scope changes which were resolved fairly and transparently by Tyler, the owner. We just really liked working with Tyler, Alex, Seth, and their support staff, all of whom were genuinely upbeat, friendly and, above all, competent. We highly recommend Switch if you are considering energy efficiency upgrades!

Alex and his team did an amazing job replacing my electrical panel. It ended up being more work than they expected, but they still honored the quoted price. The city inspector commented on the quality of the work. Now more importantly, they provided a 30-minute window for the estimate and they showed up on time both for the estimate and the job. Truly an amazing company. I needed to install a generator. Their tech figured out a way to do our entire home. The installation was fantastic. I received a quote from another company - they wanted me to do the trenching and wanted to run piping around almost 1/2 of our exterior. Switch's tech, figured out a way to trench (they do it) that hid almost all the piping. Always arrived on time - great work and everything looks fantastic. This was a major install. Superb follow up - the ONLY company to use for generators!

We’ve worked with our estimator (Kory Keezer) and our installer (Anatoliy Matyuk) at Switch Electric twice now and have had great experiences both times. Their team is extremely kind, professional, prompt, communicative, flexible, and knowledgeable. We had them come into our newly purchased home and gave them a laundry list of updates (as small as replacing a light switch to as large as changing out the electrical panel, and everything in between). Anatoli and Jack did an amazing job crawling under the foundations of our 1932 log cabin in Kirkland and digging a trench to an office in the yard that was being built while they were working. As 2 teams (the pod building team and Switch Electric) both wanted to finish the job in a day there was some competition for space which was handled gracefully and with a smile. I am very pleased with the result of the work and the very pleasant collaboration, from booking through delivery to invoicing. I highly recommend Switch Electric and Anatoli and Jack.

Had Switch rewire my house, removing the remaining knob and tube from a few rooms and hallways (and adding some recessed lighting and a doorbell). I got a few estimates, and Switch was the most thorough and surprisingly the lowest cost. Given that and a recommendation from a coworker, they were the obvious choice to move forward with. Alex (who also did the estimate) was the lead for my project, and was able to quickly squeeze me into their busy schedule between larger jobs. As others have mentioned, Alex's communication was top notch. Every day he'd message their arrival time and hours. Before making major decisions (e.g. moving or adding a fixture) he'd confirm the placement was acceptable to me. He and his crew were happy to explain things to satisfy my curiosity or when they encountered difficulties. They worked around an awkward parking situation with my house without complaint. They cleaned up well and made it surprisingly possible to live in the house during the work. In short, they were simply pleasant to work with. Turns out my job was a harder than expected one - they underestimated the difficulty and it ended up taking almost 4 full days rather than 3. But they kept to their original estimate (and more importantly didn't abandon my job even though they had squeezed me in!), and as a result I'm thrilled at the work, price, and speed. A very minor nitpick just to show this is an honest review - we unexpectedly had no hot water for a night due a misassumption about our water heater. But overall they honestly deserve 5 stars (zero pressure to leave a 5 star review unlike other contractors I've had, which is refreshing!) and I'll use them again in a heartbeat.

We have a new (to us) 112 year old home that had almost all original wiring. There were enough challenges with our project that a number of the contractors chose not to even submit a bid. Of the bids we did get, Switch definitely had the best balance of price and features (many wanted us to take care a lot of the details like trenching etc). I was worried that with their bid being the clear winner I was going to find out later what the catch was. I'm very glad to report, no catch. Just great work done just like we requested. Alex and his crew were there for almost a month and they had great communication and a friendly professional attitude the entire time. Using Switch got our project done more than a month earlier than our second option, and in hindsight I am quite sure it was a better job as well. I couldn't ask for anything else. We just passed inspection earlier today, and the inspector had nothing but good things to say about their work. Thank you to Alex and your whole crew. You guys are fantastic.
