An amazing neighborhood regular!! Their entrees are amazing but their sushi is even better!!! The best in the area, for the price and customer service. The staff is very accomodating and helpful. My partner and I frequent at LEAST once a month. Stop by! You won't regret it ☺️

Always a wonderful experience. My favorite roll is the Pink Lady, and I am not exaggerating when I say that I literally tell everyone at the table to stop talking and I close my eyes with each bite. It's heavenly.

Lots of parking. Clean restaurant. Friendly and attentive staff. Nice ambiance and relaxing atmosphere. Delicious food that was fresh and made to order. Prices were reasonable for the quality received.

I went with friends for dinner. The menu was large with a variety of options. There were 4 of us and the food was pleasant enough, everything was presented beautifully...the pricing was reasonable...they lost 2 stars because the food was not hot! I know that’s a weird thing to notice but it is worth noting because everyone who didn’t get sushi noticed it. The food should be hot. I ordered pineapple shrimp and my waiter told me the sauce is not warm. That should be noted on the menu. I would not have ordered it. It was visually appealing. Everyone at the table agreed that their food was lukewarm. Maybe they let things sit while sushi is being made so everything can be brought to the table at once? A friend mentioned that she noticed that the last time she was there (the food not being hot), months ago so...you try things and you learn. I enjoyed the green tea.

Nice spot for a variety of Asian dishes near Monroeville mall. Sushi here is good and the Chinese dishes were well seasoned in a variety of sauces. Nice spot not to far from the hotels and mall.

Hidden gem in shopping center by the mall. Food quality has been consistently good. Main reason we go is, it's an asian eatery that understands gluten free needs if you ask and will accommodate by using their gf soy sauce in the dish instead. I got the pad thai last time and a teriyaki shrimp bento box this time, done just right. Hubby would have liked his spicy szechuan to be a bit more spicy. Waitstaff could be a little more warm and personable but we were mostly left in peace so won't complain. Will visit again.

One of the best Chinese and Japanese my father and I have been too, the pork dumplings is something everyone has to try, my father ordered a dish call amazing chicken it contains peanuts and the chicken was so tender it's no wonder why it's called amazing chicken because it is amazing and also very delicious. I ordered the Mongolian beef and it's the best Mongolian beef I have ever had the meat was so tender and juicy it was like having soup flowing with delicious flavor. The waitress was very helpful and friendly. When we come back to Pittsburgh we will most definitely be back.

This restaurant is an Asian fusion restaurant. I like the decoration and atmosphere in the restaurant. We order 3 dishes (pink lady roll, Sun bay jee, Seven star around the moon). The food is really good with cool name and fancy description. For us, we would love to go again to try out other dishes. Pink Landry roll is super good. The sauce is not too thick so we can still taste the flavor of different fish. For Sun bay jee, it is quick different from the one we expect. Usually, we use chicken thigh or at least chicken with bone to make it, but they use sliced chicken breast. The seasoning is not strong. In summary, I like it since I do not need to deal with the bone when eating. Seven star around the moon is a fancy and delicious dish. The description is fancy and we want to know what it means as heavenly, so we order this dish. The 7 fried shrimps are the best fried shrimp I have every had. They are very crispy, big and thick. I don’t know how they make it, but it is amazing! The fried meats and vegetable taste balanced. The meats are tender and there are a lot of scallops in the plate.

I’ve been coming here for years with my family - probably almost 20 years now! The food is always great and I love having a place where I know I can go and get good food consistently. I particularly love their sushi. I feel like it’s some of the best value sushi in terms of the quality and price. I love to get the Sushi Regular combo and everything always tastes super fresh. You don’t need to go into the city and pay and arm and a leg for good sushi in Pittsburgh!

Went with a friend, the waitress was on training and I have to say - she was a natural! If she reads this, hope she keeps up the good work. The food was quite good too. Can definitely recommend.

Great sushi. Service was great. 2 tables of people came, ate, and left while I was still there. I was in no hurry! They were. Service was quick. I did not wait long at all before food showed up. I just took a while to eat and relax.

One of the best Asian restaurants anywhere. I love sushi and this place is top 3 I’ve had anywhere in the country. They have the best egg rolls I’ve ever had. Everything is phenomenal quality with pleasant friendly service. It’s a place you will Always come back to and not try any other because you’ll be let down. Highly recommend.

Food was edible at best, except for the bone in my red snapper. Service was awful. Only received one drink along with a tall cup of warm water. Egg drop soup was the consistency of warm yogurt. He brought out my sushi after waiting nearly half an hour, ran back to get chopsticks and didn’t return for another 10 minutes. Somehow I thought ordering mochi ice cream would be a good idea but after 15 minutes he returned and asked what flavor I said I had wanted, because he forgot. I told him not to worry about it, bring me my check, and he still tried to charge me for the ice cream he never even scooped because I “asked for it.”

We have been going to Taipei-Tokyo for almost 20 years. It has changed ownership a few times but the food and service quality have not changed. We love their sushi, calamari dream, salt and pepper trio, pad thai, and shrimp fried rice, but we have tried just about the whole menu and it’s always been very tasty. The portions are big, which is very nice if you like to have left overs.

The sushi was great and the service was super fast. I also ordered a meal that came out fantastic. Will be returning soon

First timers for my daughter's birthday (who loves sushi) and we all loved it! My daughter and I had the sushi/sashimi combo for two, wife had tad pai noodles with beef and my son had orange chicken all was very good! Service was also awesome we will be back soon and often!

Usually love eating at this place. I come here maybe three to four times a year and food is usually great. But this time food was very disappointing. I ordered a menu item of my for myself - what i usually get - General Tso’s and something new for my brother Amazing Chicken. The chicken was basically over fried and barely chewable for both entrees. We requested one of the entrees be spicy and I feel like someone just threw in 2 peppers inside the dish thinking that it would make spicy. Maybe the chef was having off day or somebody made a mistake lol - but we ended up throwing away the food because of how bad it was. Hoping for better food next time and quality. Also just another minor complaint. Not for everybody, but it’s personally one of my pet peeves. Smelly bathrooms. Please please please. If you are going to provide a bathroom for a customer at the very least put a air freshener in there. Other than that the bathroom was fairly clean. The only reason left 3 stars is because food is usually great and I am hoping to come back and change my review the next time I come here. Also just of curiosity did you guys change chefs?

The sushi was fresh and expertly made. The service was friendly and jovial. The atmosphere was clean and beautiful. It's my new jam!

Competition in the suburbs isn't as fierce at Chinese restaurants in the city. You get barely average food. Maybe it's the clientele that sorta expects that kind/style of Chinese food. I'll bet most of the patrons claim Chinese restaurant sickness from MSG. What I do know is that several pieces of my General TSO chicken was just a piece of chicken thigh fat that was breaded, fried and served to me. The piece of candy at the end of the meal was the best part. Everyone should check it out. You can just go for yourself! (~);}

My wife and I were there food always good. My wife literally didn't eat any of her food. We ask for boxes waitress took food to place to go. Wife got half her food back. Clean your own plate if you don't finish and want to take. Btw service was good also

Been coming here for years! Never disappoints. Menu has a wide variety of entrees. Awesome lunch menu. My favorite dish is of course the chicken pad thai - best i’ve ever had! All of the staff is amazing!

It's crazy how we went to this place on a whim but we were HIGHLY impressed by how authentic and tasty the food was. I definitely would suggest Taipei Tokyo to whoever is looking for authentic Japanese food. We bought some extra food just to take it home.

Dinner with friends. The orange chicken is fantastic. Beautiful presentation (I forgot to take a picture) egg roll very good. Veggies in it are not mushy but they are overly cooked either. I've also had the General Tso's Chicken and it's great. Service friendly and prompt. Prices are very reasonable.

My husband and I visited for the first time last night. We ordered spicy crab salads, white tuna nigiri, salmon nigiri, and the Yellowstone roll. Everything was DELICIOUS! Solid 5 stars. We will definitely be back 🍻🍣
