THE WORST! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I'm a firefighter, and I came here to stay after working long hours during the brush fires. I arrived in the evening, and the doors were locked, so I rang the doorbell. After a couple minutes, Victor (the receptionist) came to open the door and snapped at me, "You only have to ring the bell once!" Which is exactly what I did. He was helping someone at the front desk, and when it was my turn, I asked to speak to his supervisor. He smugly stated that he WAS the supervisor and no one else could help me at the time. While I was talking to him, he interrupted our conversation TWICE to answer the front door immediately. He welcomed each new guest with a friendly demeanor, something he did NOT do for me. My questions are: 1. Is it his "job" to snap at customers with a nasty temper? 2. I only rang the doorbell once, but even if I rang it multiple times, is it his "job" to speak to customers in his revolting manner? 3. Why would he take so long to answer the door for me, but interrupt me to answer the door immediately for others? 4. Was Victor trained by Marriott to give terrible service and hostile attitude to customers? 5. Is management aware of Victor's horribly offensive behavior toward customers? 6. Since Victor is in a "supervisory" position, how many of Marriott's employees has he trained to be abusive to customers like he is? 7. What kind of disciplinary actions will Victor be subjected to as a result of his unacceptable conduct? At no point did Victor apologize for his actions or attempt to correct anything. I WILL NEVER STAY AT A MARRIOTT PROPERTY AGAIN!! I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE! I'VE NEVER HAD SUCH BAD SERVICE AT ANY OTHER HOTEL! ALL HILTON PROPERTIES ARE BETTER! RACISTS!! ***** Look at Marriott's response below. It's just a copy-paste reply! Additionally, they completely ignored all my questions. It's clearly evident that they have a corporate culture of not caring about their customers! Most importantly, they offered no apology and gave zero effort to fix anything! MARRIOTT IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!

I found the place very cold and uninviting. The staff seemed very programmed. Couldn’t even direct me to the elevator. Asked some of the guests nearby, but no one spoke English. The room was warm and clean. The bed was comfortable. But based on the atmosphere and staff I’d rather find an old hotel along Route 66 in the area.

Very disappointing 5 night stay. When I booked the room I was told that my Marriott status included a complimentary breakfast...but that turned out to be untrue. The room was not particularly clean, when we entered the room I found crumbs and a blue M&M on the floor which tells me that it hadn't been vacuumed and makes me wonder what else hasn't been done. I reported this to the front desk the first night but no one came the next day as promised to vacuum. I called the front desk the second night to report the M&M was still there. The next day I spoke with an Assistant General Manager, Joseph Valencia, and he had someone come vacuum. He also provided a complimentary breakfast for one day so he did try to make things right. I was also told that housekeeping would come once during the 5 night stay but the only time they did was to vacuum as requested. We had to leave trash and used towels outside the door. The freeway noise is loud but I realize there is not much the hotel can do about it unless they upgrade the windows. On the positive side, someone delivered towels, soap and pillows after we requested them and we got a reasonable rate for the extended stay. I know things are different now but my experience at this Marriott property was very disappointing....a one night stay might be okay but I wouldn't opt for any longer stay.

lacking hospitality + Incredibly unprofessional staff/ front desk person. I was visiting Pasadena for a personal event with 1 family member. I don't want to expose many details regarding my experience because I want to reserve my privacy but the front desk person here was simply unprofessional and definitely lacking hospitality. This place is definitely not safe for service animals or animals of any kind. 0 stars -- save your money and stay at the major hotels next door. The hotel itself looks very old. The rooms are definitely old. Rooms are absolutely bare and very basic. Rooms are basically clean but not extremely clean. Free parking and the location off the 210 freeway is the only reason I decided to stay here but will never stay again. Competitors within a 0.2 mile radius around the area offer way more for the dollar amount.

I was not a fan of this hotel. It is very rundown and not taken care of. The room wasn't properly cleaned. I found hair on the bedsheets and a towel. There was a black hair tie on the floor so clearly they didn't vacuum the rooms properly. There were gross stains on the couch. One of the wheels was broken on the desk. Lastly, you hear all the traffic from the highway. I love the area around the hotel. Lots of food options and a mall nearby. But I wouldn't stay here again!

Our family of four stayed in a room with two queen beds. The rooms were modern, comfortable and nicely equipped (mini-fridge, TV with streaming services). We didn’t get the breakfast package, but purchased food at the hotel and it was very good. The gym is small, but has a few machines and dumbbells. We spent time in the hot tub (outdoor). The pool is also heated (outdoor). Lots of parking at the hotel - felt very secure. No EV charging, but there were charging stations in the shopping area nearby.

Nice rooms, smalls bathrooms though. Comfortable beds. Good location, free Parking, nice pool area. Staff was nice, helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again. Housekeeping needs more attention to detail!

From the start of the visit, front desk attempts to not honor our reservation saying they have no rooms. Once I contest with my confirmations that I have readily in hand. Young lady trying her best got us a room, but immediately when we get in we seen how disgusting the room is and shortly after find a pill of some sort on the chair. This is a major concern since we are staying with out toddler who could have easily walked up to it and ate it. There’s bugs in the room brown and black spots kinda looks like a ladybug but I’m no expert. Tons of long black hair on the chair and all over the restroom.dirt stains in the bathtub food particles everywhere. I immediately called asking to switch rooms and was told they will find me something and ring me back. They didn’t after 30 mins of eating I went downstairs to be rudely greeted by (Front desk supervisor Evan Gomez) who when I presented the pill I found immediately snatched it and tossed it away as if he’s disposing of evidence. His lack of empathy and hospitality was incredible. Telling me “I think we should part ways since I’m not enjoying my stay” and basically showed me the door. Hopefully I get a call back from Joseph the General manager because I’d like to know this isn’t going to happen to the next family attempting to stay at a decent hotel on a Sunday. Update 4/29/23 you guys can miss me with that generic response and lack of accountability it’s obvious you don’t care or have standards. Joseph your lack of initiative is the reason why you’ll remain a hotel manager and probably retire as one.

I stayed here for a few nights near the end of July and it was one of the more reasonably priced hotels close to Glendale. My stay was enjoyable somewhat and the building is pretty quiet as whole which was nice. The tall gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and he helped me during my entire stay. The only 2 complaints I have are the loud beeping sounds that came off from what I believe is the smoke alarm in the room. I had a 1 bedroom suite and the room with the bed had a loud beep that goes off every half hour or so. That was annoying but it didn’t bother me much but for other people it may be a problem. Another issue we had was the mattress for the sofa bed had brown mystery stains, which I had noticed were on the curtains in the same room as well. I’m not sure what the stains could be but I would leave it up to the imagination. With the stains being there I just ended up folding the sofa bed back into place. I didn’t want to make a big fuss out of it nor did I want to have to change rooms, getting the top floor is a rarity for me these days so I just ignored it during my stay. Aside from those issues the rooms are pretty clean, much cleaner than other Marriott branded hotels I’ve stayed in. The hotel itself is dated but you can tell they are trying to update it with a newer looking bathroom. Overall I enjoyed my stay but the issues I had within my room made me lower my star rating for the hotel.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First off my wife and I travel ALOT, and we generally stay in marriott brand hotels. We are both marriott elite members, so this trip was an absolute shocker. Karla at the front desk is awesome and she did what she could, however this place is disgusting. When we checked into our first room, as soon as we got there we needed the sheets changed because there were black spots on the sheets. The bathroom floor hadn’t been mopped in ages and the toilet had these brown spots on the inside. You could tell that they are barely cleaned after every stay. Upon further inspection of the room, there were remains of a used condom wrapper, and what looked to be dog feces on the carpet. We went to complain and were given another room. Upon inspection of that room we found someone’s charger cord on the floor which indicated that this room wasn’t vacuumed either. We went back to complain. We were given another room. After inspection of that room, we found a bottle cap on the floor by the bed and there was dirt/sand by the couch. Also indicating this room was not throughly cleaned. We then were switched to another room that was marginally better than the rest. The only reason we didn’t leave is because there was nothing else in that area that had availability. Also one night we came back to the room around 12am and there were homeless people sleeping on the ground by the side parking lot, one of which seemed to be pleasuring himself. When we went in to inform someone at the front desk, there was no one to be found!!!!! This was by far the Worst hotel experience I have ever had. I will be contacting Marriotts corporate office because dog feces in the room is far beyond anything that any customer should have to deal with!!!! I gave a 3 star rating because of Karla, she has a great personality and she tried to help but she is not in charge of cleaning. Besides her the staff is absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My truck was parked 10ft from the front door and thieves stole my catalytic convertor! The front desk lady at 7am told me it was 3rd time in 6 months she has seen this happen. The matinence man was telling me stories of other thefts as we waited for the police to show up! The GM was not solution oriented at all. It was the first night of a 6 night stay- I told him I did not feel safe here. I paid advance on Agoda non refundable. He did not offer me a comp or money back. Basically had to stay there and feel violated as these thieves clearly have this property on their theft route. The security here is non existent. If you go to Yelp and read all the 1 star reviews- you will see other people like me who have had their vehicles ransacked and stolen from- even whole trailers taken off trucks. Why? Because the thieves know they can hit this property and get away with it. Stay away at all costs if you value your posessions.

RUN AWAY! This is by far the worst experience I’ve had in any hotel! The room was very very dirty (see photos) including pieces of plastic and brownie crumbles on the floor and hairs everywhere in the bathroom and shower. We asked the room to be cleaned since it was disgusting. When we came back after an entire day, the room wasn't cleaned even though it should be cleaned anyways and we also specifically asked. We asked to switch rooms, and it ends up taking over 40 mins to just switch to a slightly cleaner, not clean(!!) room. All of that after already moving once because half of their rooms face the highway and are very noisy. The other half of the rooms are noisy as well, just not as much.

This was one of the older Marriotts we’ve stayed at and hopefully they will update and upgrade this hotel. It great to be centrally located but it’s also next to the freeway and rooms facing the freeway are extremely loud. Carla who was working the front desk was quite gracious to move us after a very loud night on the freeway side. If they could upgrade the patio doors and windows to more soundproofing would help immensely.

Honestly I am pretty disappointed with my stay here. The hotel is not bad but it doen;t live up to my usually very positive experiences with Courtyard Marriot hotels. My room was clearly not cleaned very thoroughly since right on the nightstand when I got to the room was a half empty water bottle that clearly was left behind and also had plastic wrappers on the floor. The shower also had very low water pressure and overall I thought the room was surprisingly not up to the usual quality of courtyard hotels. The service was friendly enough, but the main benefit to this hotel is the location for the price. It’s within a reasonable driving distance to LA and has free parking which I really appreciate, but I was pretty underwhelmed since I had never checked into a hotel room which had trash still in it. Maybe I just had a fluke stay, but it was still disappointing.

I have to say that the service was good, the problem I had were that the beds were terrible, they were so hard I thought I was lying on concrete. The pool said open 24hrs but when we went to use it at 7pm they were closed and a written note stated 7pm but there website still stated 24hrs, I just wanted to sit in the hot tub after a long drive. Overall I would of thought twice if I knew what I was getting into I spent two nights in pain and couldn't even relax in the hot tub after 7pm save you money find a Super 8 and get a better night sleep.

The hotel was very nice, it was in walking distance to many shops. My experience over the phone booking left a little to be desired but I will chalk it up to the front desk being extremely busy. I was in town for a wedding and you could only use the wedding code if you called the hotel directly. Which I attempted to call on a previous occasion and the phone rang out. But overall the staff was friendly and helpful with providing sites to explore, the area was well kept.

Had a very slight room issue when I arrived. Went to reception and the guy on reception (Victor) couldn’t have been a better host. Sorted everything out in seconds and I even got a free cookie (they were free to everyone on reception). The free appetisers in the restaurant are a really nice touch. Hot food for free is rare in any hotel. Overall, the experience was so impressive I returned for a 2nd night due to getting back from work late rather than travel back to Santa Clarita. Big shout out to Victor!!

Very kind and friendly staff, the location is a double edged sword, next to the freeway, the sound at night is awful but it’s great for getting around. Lots of fast food and convenience stores nearby. Breakfast food, Starbucks, and bar on site. The rooms were clean and safe, beds were very firm. Hot tubs were lukewarm at best.

The hotel had very nice rooms for taking a good long rest. There was a balcony for my room but it was locked understandably. I'd say the only way it could have been better is if the Bistro was open when I had to leave (we left at 7 so I understand not being open then)

Great, affordable rooms with a quality pool that was a great way to get away from the heat. Well-maintained room with a powerful air conditioner (I get sweaty, so it was much appreciated). Staff was kind and courteous. I left the maid an extra tip for keeping the room so clean. Would definitely book again.

The Courtyard by Marriott is a lovely hotel, who provided a wonderful banquet for our event. The room was lovely, buffet food was delicious, and the service superb in the replenishment of the food at the buffet, water and tea at the tables, and clearing of plates after we'd eaten. I'm sure that the bar outside the banquet room was well-manned, as well, as it was last year. I just didn't happen to visit the bar for a drink this year, as I did last year. The only reason that I gave it a 4-star, rather than a 5, was because at the end of the night, when I was saying, "Good night" to my friend and her son who were staying there, I said, "Have a peaceful night." Her reply was, "Well, that might be difficult, because this hotel is noisy as hell." They were staying there both Friday and Saturday night, because they live down in Manhattan Beach. I didn't stay there, because I don't have to drive as far. I'm sorry to hear that's it's not as peaceful there as it should be.

Clean hotel with friendly staff. Located right next to the freeway so traffic noise was an issue. Also, the thermostat wouldn't stay at the temperature we set it so we spent all night getting up to reset it. Pool and exercise room were small but clean and adequate. Good location (other than freeway proximity.)

The rooms are very outdated. The toilets are very old and creaking. The pictures in the website gives a very different impression to reality. The doors to the balcony are locked and hence no ventilation for rooms. There are no USB chargers . The room has an old noisy air conditioner. Over all the specs you will expect from Marriott is missing.

We definitely woke up the front desk gut at 2am when we got there for check in. Our hallway smelled so gross when we got there. There was obviously something in the trash and was taken care of. Nice area, would stay here again

I would recommend steering clear of courtyard Marriott hotels specifically. I've gone to 2 now and both times the room was not properly cleaned. The first room had clear clumps of long strands of hair on the bathroom floor. This specific hotel had men's beard hairs left on the shower shelf. A lot of it lol. This type of Marriott hotel just doesn't clean well.

Let's get the positive out first: the bar staff with Eddie (and I think Mike) were fantastic. Warm, personable and great personalities. Sadly the rest: Breakfast was terrible and the burrito was clearly microwaved and almost cold in the center. Rooms, and this is where it falls apart. First room on the 4th floor had short black hair all inside the tub, clearly not been cleaned. We asked nicely for it to be cleaned and came back later. It was only a little better to down to ask again. Housekeeping showed up with a handful of towels (relevance?) and no clue of why she was there. Checked again.. still hair in the tub later, obvious and impossible to miss. Down to the desk for third time to the feckless help, who offers a different room. Done, ok, move on. Thusly to discover bed bug bites in multiple places on both me and my wife, this morning. Needless to say, more than happy to just leave and clearly never come back. I have traveled all over the world, Europe, Asia and even India. I have never bed bugs. It's disgusting to think what that means for the cleanliness of the sheets, rooms and whole location. Needless to say we will never stay at this location again and recommend no one does either.

Service was good overall except for only getting housekeeping for my room only one time in a 5 night stay and that was the day before I was leaving. I wish they would have had more restaurant service in the hotel.

It's a dump. Misfortune of staying here four nights 7/17/23 - 7/20/23. The last guest's food was still in my room, just sitting there. Grout is moldy. Balconies are deadbolted shut. Bedding is a sheet with an uncovered duvet. The Bonvoy app doesn't work for check in or electronic keys. There's a whole cluster of hotels right off the 210 in Monrovia-- pick a different one.

Great stay. Nice rooms great bed. Pool and 3 spa pools. Free peanut butter cookies in the lobby. Great free parking. We will be back. Victor was great at check in and thru out the whole stay.

My friend and I entered with hopes to enjoy the restaurant and bar on the first floor across from the lobby. To our surprise that area has been closed since the beginning of the pandemic. We went to Mikomi Sushi on Myrtle in Old Town Monrovia instead

First time I post a review of this kind. I am a teacher traveling to relocate to LA. Front desk worker, Nicholas choose to discriminate against me. He would not accept my debit card. Said "it was not autorized."I called the bank there was not even an attempt to use it. So I guessed he decided, I was not welcome. He wouldn't even try the card again with the bank on the line... I asked for a manager, he said he was the only one on duty at 4:30 p.m. Little does he know my mom is a retired woker from Marriott. I will take this treatment further with corporate. Now happily staying at the double tree with no issues with the card.

This hotel uses predatory "non-changeable" booking practices. I called more than a month in advance of travel to move my reservation by one day. I had booked on the wrong day; it was my mistake. I was told my reservation was "non-changeable" and that I would be charged whether I stayed that night or canceled. I'm sure there was something in the booking process to say this was the case, but it's crazy shady and unethical all the same. I was going to move my reservation one day. I was forced to cancel over a month in advance and charged full price. I would never stay at this hotel.

Stayed here for a night after the Renaissance Faire and we enjoyed it. Front desk staff was warm and welcoming throughout our stay. Nothing particularly fancy about the hotel, but the room had a nice view of the mountains and it's very conveniently located. Found a long dark hair in the shower, but only one, it happens, just grabbed it with a tissue and moved on with my life. Otherwise the room was clean. Layout is a little weird, I personally prefer to watch TV from bed not the couch, but to each their own. Bathroom is a little small, but it's probably an older hotel and livable for a weekend. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi area. They also had some good drinks and snacks in the convenience area. The morning cafe closed pretty early (10am) would be nice if it at least went to 11, but with covid and staffing I get it. They also had a nice little breakfast buffet you could purchase until 10 as well. Grabbed a drink from the bar in the evening. Again, nothing mind-blowingly special, but perfectly decent for a nice nights sleep.

I always stay at this hotel when I come to Los Angeles. The front desk staff are very nice. Staying here in September was great and I didn't find any problems. So I stayed at this hotel for the second time in October, but on the night of 10/6 I was bitten by bugs and had a lot of very itchy red bumps on my legs and buttocks. I thought it was cimicid or fleas on the blue sofa in the lobby on the first floor... because I sat there on the afternoon of 10/06 After a while, a black hard-shelled bug the size of a grain of rice jumped on my leg. I was immediately frightened and ran away from the sofa and returned to my room. I started itching all over my body at night! I hope the hotel can hire someone from a professional company to kill the pests! Being bitten by bugs is terrible!
