Where: Bistro-Brasserie Les Soeurs Grises What: A bistro pub that serves their own beer. We shared a dinner place. How was it: Great. We shared this platter with a bunch of amazing food. We've been inside once and on their patio 2 times. We prefer the patio, but the downside is the neighbours complain after 9pm, so if you're still on the patio - you're forced to move inside. It's ok, not the restaurant's fault, just the picky building in front. Anyway, great place for a pint or even the fish burger. Grade: Eli = 5, Serge = 5 Recommend: Yes, give it a try.

We had lunch there today with online reservation. Foods were served fast, fresh and delicious. I would recommend the crispy chicken burger. French fries are crispy, tender. Just the right temperature and right cooking. Price vice, it is quite reasonable compared to other similar restaurants in the same location at the west end of the Old Montreal. Good portion, too much for ladies. The beers from their in-house micro brewery were also tasty even if we are not beer fans. Only one waiter on duty, he was efficient and curtious. I'm also happy that I used the gift card which I got from a lucky draw at an event at the beginning of this pandemic. It has been two years, a hard severe hit to many restaurants. The manager (who seems to be) is also friendly. They accommodate diners well even if we are not Francophones. Haha. I leave one star 🌟 out because there is always a room for improvement. The design of their washrooms could use some touches in the future. This is my second visit to this restaurant. We enjoyed it!

My brothers and I went to this place on a whim on a Friday afternoon after arriving in town. After they checked our vaccination status (with a very convenient app that I wish we had in the US) we were seated right away. The place was a cool mix of older people, younger people, business people, located on the old port; a really cool vibe. Our server was super attentive and speedy. We each ordered a bar and we ordered the almonds and olives for an appetizer. Both delicious. For dinner, I had probably the most delicious fish and chips I've ever had in my life. It came with pico de Gallo and a really interesting tartar sauce. It was amazing. Overall, its a great little place to have a beer, some food, and hang out with the locals.

Aye so much to love and dislike about this place. Usually busy with great crowd. Music not too loud. Some very tasty beer. But….I don’t know who owns this place but your staff are absolutely hit and miss in terms of friendliness. Come on, smiles and a simple hello are free. Haven’t had the food so can’t comment but looks decent.

Great atmosphere and awsome location close to the old port. They have a nice selection of alcohol. The burger was a little overcooked.

In the Google scale of reviews, I didn't consider this establishment’s 4.1 at the time of this review to be particularly encouraging when I looked at it before I arrived. I anticipated a mediocre evening on the whole, but others wanted to go so I didn’t object. Much to my delight it out performed its Google rating considerably and I’d have put it in the 4.4 to 4.5 range if I could, a sweet spot at the intersection of quality and affordability I usually find. Service was good. Food was very good. Beer was good. Price (in this hyper inflated era) was as expected. 4.45 out of 5 stars!

Service was excellent and fast. Ordered the Nun’s burger which was delicious and had their Marquis beer that was really good. If you do go with that burger just know that it’s a thick slice of bacon and not a normal thin slice; I didn’t mind it but it’s not mentioned on the menu.

Food was great. Came in with a huge group but we still all got our food at the same time, so that was nice! Very good atmosphere.

Beautiful spot. Not cheap at all on the food and trust me let Nico make you a drink and you will have a night. I'd give 10 ⭐ if I could

I was not expecting to have such a great meal! True Mexican flavors in that pulled pork. Good job to the kitchen staff! Overall the staff was kind and helpful. Would definitely go back.

Very good food, nice varied selection of draft beers. Service was rather slow/inattentive.

The service is attentive, and there is an excellent selection of beer. Unfortunately, the food quality has decreased tremendously over the past couple of years while prices have increased just like anywhere else. This used to be one of my favourite bars in Montreal, but I do not enjoy it anymore.

I enjoyed every meal I had, ordered Ribs with a side of rice and veggies, there was a mistake and I got a side of potato, the entree was Mediterranean salad and desert was cheese cake that was later substituted for vanilla flan (choco flan was their option but I don’t do chocolate), I called on the waitress serving our table and she responded promptly and got me rice. She is such an angel, her name starts with a D. My bad I couldn’t remember the name , however she is the most amazing waitress I have met, her humility and kindness is out of this World. I was at this place on Monday 23, October with my group about 8pm. I am mostly impressed by this young lady, I will definitely visit when next I am in Montreal. She turned down my personal tip and said our group lead offered tip already. This place was a bit crowded hence my 4 star for atmosphere…. Otherwise, everything here was pretty good.

This is one of my VERY favourite spots in the city! I love the ambiance, the beer, and food.....especially the ribs! Very relaxing, and not pricey at all for Old Montreal. I highly recommend going if you can. I've been going for years, and I'm not sure why it took me this long to review.....cheers!

This place has a mice problems. There was a mouse or small rat walking around the restaurant and walking around our feet and the waitress simply said it was normal. She said they have mouse traps everywhere, even in the kitchen but that there is nothing they can do about it. Drinks were ok. The food was average. They charged us the full bill even if we weren't able to dfinish our drinks or the food because the mouse kept coming back to where we were sitting. I do not recommend this place. Its hygiene is bad.

Overall experience was fine , until a barman, that was not even serving us and a regular client started yelling at me because I grabbed a 4 pack from the take out frigde. Telling me it's employee only. If that is the case don't leave the frigde at the clients disposal espicially if I already paid for it. nice way to kill my vibe. first and last time there's many other beers to taste in montreal

We started with 12 passionistas. With 12 men celebrating the marriage of 1 of man. The drink was a beautiful combination of sweet, smoke and fruity deliciousness. We then had 12 beers. Blonde ales. They were light. They were sessionable. They were perfect. Our waitress seamlessly handled our large group and made the moment fun. Would recommend.

Two stars for the ambiance but minus one star due to presence of couple of mice roaming around. 2 star for the service, the waiters were very nice and kind but minus for the slow service (prolly lack of staff). Food was alright though, they have a good serving portion. Thanks 😊

Worked close by for over 8 years, one of the most consistent restaurants nearby. Never had a bad experience, through all menu changes I've found a lot I enjoyed and really solid beer too. Love their pulled pork and burgers.

Good place to hangout, decent staff and service. Beer was good too, I had ordered blonde beer. For Food, I had ordered pork Tacos which was ok, not too extraordinary. They need to improve their guacamole though, was too salty.
