As an experienced barista, I was honestly horrified with my visit to this place today. I don’t normally write reviews but the practices of this place were a bit concerning. The only steam wand on the machine had a thick layer of crusted, burnt milk on it (it’s supposed to be wiped down in between each use - what about people with dairy allergies?). It honestly looks like it has never been cleaned. The barista also left the milk steaming unattended while she went to go make other drinks and it all boiled over, she then separated the burnt, bubbly foam with a strainer and poured the remaining milk into my cup… I attached a photo of my $5 “latte”. Milk needs to be steamed to a certain temperature to avoid scalding, and a latte is also supposed to have foam… The espresso was watery and under extracted and the drink was just awful. Avoid this place at all costs if you care about quality coffee.

Stopped by on our way to our flight, and took around 25 minutes to get a Chai Tea Latte. It's badly organized, where they had two people on cash taking orders, and one person running between food and making drinks. He even asked one of them to help him catch up on drinks, and the person on cash told him that it's "not his problem" in front of customers... Wow. They have no ticket system or names either, so they were sending our drinks out of order, and we finally asked for ours only to realize they'd lost it and were busy making orders for people who already left, but no one took the receipt so they thought they were unmade. Very ride staff, and it took another two reminders for them to make it... Only for them to half make it, then come back to us to confirm what we wanted, as they forgot it was Chai Tea. Would never go back again... The Latte was okay, but I'd rather give my business to a place that cares about customers.

There really needs improvement with costumer service. There was one person ahead of me and I was in a bit of a rush to catch my flight. Was wanting a tea. I waited 10 min. The one worker was just talking to his coworker about his break. I had mentioned after five minutes I was in a bit of a rush politely. He was unsure on what their product was or how to make a tea. Seems like they need better training. Especially In a fast paced environment like the airport people are trying to catch planes. He then proceeded to mock me because I was getting a bit flustered by how long it was taking him to make the tea and I had told him I was in a bit of a rush. I wasn't rude and said thank you. I really hope they get proper training there because it was a horrible experience. I've worked in coffee shops so I know what it's like to be on the other side.

$25 for a breakfast sandwich, plain bagel & 2 regular coffees. No cream cheese, peanut butter or cheddar available for bagels as they ran out?? This was 830 am. Tables dirty. No where for customers to sit as place was packed with airline staff with food from other vendors (i.e. Tim Hortons) & they were extremely loud.

The coffee was good. The croissant was terrible. Tasted stale. 😩. It definitely looked better than it tasted. The service was quick and friendly. The seating area is nice.

May 2023 Great coffee. Normal airport prices. This was a good choice by default as there aren't many coffee shops at the Pierre Elliott Trudeau airport. At least not on the section we were in.

Worst Smoked Salmon, cream cheese bagel ever. The bagel was as stale as can be. The cream cheese crumbly cause it was so dry and the salmon was garbage left over full of sinew that I couldn’t bite through. Absolute garbage!

Paid $18 for a tiny sandwich that tasted funny and a warm 'iced coffee'

This was likely the WORST coffee shop experience ever. They were super disorganized. They made drip coffee WITHOUT any grounds in the filter and had to wait until with water ran it's course to start again. The cashier guy couldn't handle the position. He called for the guy sweeping to help (who just left a pile of dirt on the floor) All I wanted was an English Breakfast tea bag. I ended up with an Earl Grey (which sucks in my opinion) They are in the airport. They need to do better. Maybe not hire family members?

It has a nice seating area and had less of a crowd compared to Tim Hortons or Starbucks. That’s the extent of its positives. The customer service was lacking (cashier was rude and seemed impatient where any question was met with a condescending tone). The sandwiches, even though were supposedly heated, were still cold. It’s also pricier (though that’s expected given the location).

Prices are actually reasonable! A muffin for $3.50 and deli pasta salad for about $7! Just what we needed. And super friendly staff. Crazy busy airport intersection tho!

It's java u on the second floor , facing gate 1. I bought my coffee 12:50 today Sunday 8th. The lady was preparing coffee very poorly and using terrible tone when talking to buyers! Very bad experience, I had to throw the coffee she angrily prepared and served!

I dropped my coffee when I sat down at a table. The lady working there was super rude about it, offered me another one and then charged me for it. Ive worked In many restaurants & this is unseen for me. Dissatisfied.

Good selection of sandwiches and wraps, taste is not bad. I was pleasantly surprised to be offered a chickpea salad, which was alright though needed a little more flavour. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are a few tables to eat at... Definitely a step up from what's on offer beside International Arrivals, just at the bottom of the escalator.

Average latte. It's not worth to pay around 5 CAD for this latte!

The gray and red seats are comfortable at MTL airport, but non of the plugs work between them. Fantastic idea YUL seating without charging. The seats are comfortable enough to sit on them for several hours waiting for your ride, plane or relaxing after a long journey. Posted April 22/2022

Renisha was so friendly and accommodating. They were out of dark chocolate for my mocha so she recommended a few options and tailored it to my dietary needs and was very nice. Thank you!

Very nice staff, Sandra is amazing!!! Always there with a smile! Staffing issues affect us all even the security but I know that sandra does her best!! I work at the airport and I'm there almost everyday, so sometimes the lines get long but that is the name of the game, dont blame the staff for the lines, blame the customers then for making special request almost eveytime! But I know the staff gives there best!!!

Only spot in the departures if you want to grab a bite. Good Chai lattes but food not so good. The breakfast sandwich was cold in the middle. Also kind of expensive.
