Been going to this gym for 8 months. I am basing my review with my time and experience here and at 6 other gyms I’ve been a member to. Worst staff service. I’ve been greeted only once. When I ask basic questions, I rarely get an answer. Today I asked something about the membership and the employee looked at me with a strange face because she wasn’t sure.. and she just stood there looking at me like that until I left instead of asking her 2 other colleagues next to her to find an answer. I’ve mentioned to them once how there is a clip on a cable that is broken, showing them exactly which one, it’s still broken a month later. I find the floors where the gym equipment is dirty. I tend to see the occasional abandoned hair ties on the ground not moving for at least a week. Make sure you use a mat if you get on your knees, the floor leaves you with dirt marks every time. Locker rooms are good. They do have cameras (I don’t know if their functional) inside them so you have these cabins with curtains in order to change privately. There seems to be no dress code, I’ve seen people barefoot and in jeans. Tanks / sport bra allowed. No obligatory towel or sport shoes. When masks were mandatory the majority didn’t have any, many were left on the ground. But the worst thing about my experience here is the crowd. Whether I go on a Tuesday at 8am, a Wednesday at 11am, Friday at 7pm or a Saturday at 2pm ALWAYS FULL (even the women’s section) so beware about that.. 2 bench press and squat racks aren’t enough to fill the demand. They did stop the 24h for a while so that was annoying. Beware they do close on Quebec’s holidays. Make sure you always come with a full water bottle, I went once without doing so and the fountains weren’t functioning. I completely understand it was out of their control.. although giving out water bottles would of been nice.

Worst gym in terms of stealing clients. I have already paid for all my session with a private trainer but due to COVID and health issues I was not able to attend the gym. And now that I am able to restart again, in order for me to be able to reuse my paid sessions, I have to pay extra 100$ and finish all those sessions in a 3 months period. Which means I have no life but to spend my days in gym and if it has to be extend I have to pay extra 30$ for each month. This is called stealing clients especially if they have health reasons. Once I am done with my contract I will never go again in this gym. And I advise you all too to read your contracts before signing anything.

My daughter and I had a membership before the pandemic. I tried to cancel just before lockdown. I left several messages to cancel but no one returned my calls. Now, two years later my daughter and I get letters from a collection agency. They are charging when they were closed. No warning. Nothing. Just straight to collection. Buyer beware. Find another gym!

To be honest, the gym itself is very nice, many equipment choices, women only section, nice locker rooms. However, their membership policy leaves much to be desired. I had a VIP subscription at around 28/month in a yearly contract, my financial situation had suddenly changed and I looked to change my membership from VIP to normal, not only is it not allowed, but even taking a month off was not an option unless absolutely medically required, i had to pay quite the amount to be able to break the one year contract. Does this gym expect customers to predict when they might lose their job before signing a yearly contract and not offering by-month options?

The absolute WORST gym ever! Do not ever sign a contract there! When they closed during covid they forced me to continue to pay for the gym membership and personal trainer even tho i could not train there or meet the trainer since we were LOCKED INSIDE OUR HOMES. When i accepted the membership, i accepted to pay to train INSIDE a gym with a REAL personal trainer. Now 2 years later they send me a letter from a collection agency asking me to pay 965$ of services i never got because THEY were closed!!! Biggest scammers in town, i will make sure to tell everyone I know to be careful and never deal with them!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYM!! I'd like to put minus stars if Google allows it. My husband and I joined this gym before Covid and they forced us to keep paying our membership fees during the shutdown of the pandemic. They forced people to pay when they were not even open, it's absolute nonsense. We wanted to cancel the membership and they didn't allow us to. It took us a few months, but we still had to pay full price while they were working on cancelling our membership... After we cancelled our membership, we got their email again asking us to pay for the personal trainer, and again, we didn't use their services because we CAN NOT! This is a SCAM and the WORST gym ever. I will tell anyone I know never to go there.

(Changed review) Positive review: - The team reached out and tried to mend the issues. - The equipment is good. - The location/parking is easy and convenient (Old review) - The pricing is not transparent, it is a bit concerning how much lack of transparency there is when it comes to the advertised price vs the real price. You might see 20/month or 24/month, that is really not accurate, the truth is you are looking at an average of 38 to 40 / month. - The guaranteed price charge that they are charging you is around 19 over 2 months, which guarantees the price you have. for the next period. Which is kind of holds you hostage against your will to stay with them and never break membership. Not sure that is something I would want. I also had a few a friends face a lot of issues, with expectation and price. - If you want convenience, and easy parking and good equipment it is a good place. Yes the whole pricing bs, and bad client service. Just leaves a bad taste in anyone's mouth.

    1. The staff are rude and incompetent. 2. They gym is a rip off. 3. They won’t let you in if you don’t have a mask. They sell you a mask for 3 dollars. I understand the COVID numbers have reduced recently, but the rules still holds to wear a mask. 30% of members don’t wear mask particularly in weight section. Apparently the gym only cares for the $3. People wonder why gyms close. It has not been long since inscription and I already regret. The only reason for inscription was that it is big and was open 24h

After getting a flexible membership for the specific reason of using the indoor pool during winter, I went a total of 3 times, every time I used the pool to do laps, I was unable to work the following day due to severe pain in my sinuses along with a crippling headache. I called to cancel & they said I needed to come in person, I went in person the following week, they explained they had many complaints about the chlorine & that changes were made, they “canceled” my membership & told me I had a month to go since it’s paid for, weeks go by & I was just charged another month again, I called, they said last month wasn’t canceled a full month in advanced, so this month is charged and again I have all month to go.. that’s 3 months paid + a membership fee for 3 uses of the pool which I’m still feeling the effects of today.

Been coming to world’s gym for over one year, and I have nothing but positive words for my trainer (Pierre Paul) Coach Stanford. A professional in the industry with over a decade of experience. Out of all the trainers here, he’s the only one who gets his clients visible results and really cares. Ive seen other trainers on their phone or looking at their watch for the session to end , but Pierre Paul is always attentive and motivating. Ask for him by name and you’ll see your life and body transform for the better! Ask for Coach Stanford, you won’t regret it!

Client service zero for existing clients. I paid membership for the three years and probably went there max 20 times. My contract expired on the 7th of September, and no body called, no messages and no emails nothing. I wanted to renew my contract and normally for existing clients there shouldn’t be any renewal fees. The staff and their supervisor completely refused to wave it for me. He said I am late by 5 days. If I were there 5 days earlier I wouldn’t have paid this fee. Anyways, ☹️

Avoid this gym! They continue to draw fees when the gym is not even available. After continuous emails back and forth i was able to cancel my membership and remaining payments up to date. Then after it is another back and forth for unpaid personal trainer sessions, which I didn’t use and oddly it with someone with a gmail claiming they are from world gym. Lots of headaches, frustration and anxiety with them.

I had a unfortunate experience with a supervisor but after I escalated the situation it was quickly resolved by a manager. I’ll renew my membership that is close to expire. In general I’m quite happy with the service they provide, the classes, the instructors the equipment, the atmosphere and cleanliness however a couple of things to improve may be extend the opening hours for the swimming pool and sauna.

I have been going here for a while the equipment is great but cleaning not so great I come back to see the same shirt and paper on the floor for 2 days in a row the clocks not advanced for daylight savings. Lots of dust and dirty on the elliptical machine always. that could be better. My front desk experience goes from great to just mind blowing rude. It is a fair gym experience

I love this gym! Big and clean space, various machines, friendly receptionists.. Just one point to improve, the gym is busy in the day time, so if I come earlier or later I will miss the sona/pool access time! Otherwise this is my favorite south shore gym.

Horrible service the guy didn’t even try to explain why I couldn’t pay 1 month of gym, literally no other options nothing I went in and out in less than 30 seconds. Im leaving the country and there is no option to pay a day or a month of gym, confusing because the other day I ask one of the receptionist and she told me that I could pay 1 month of gym regardless of the price I was willing to pay but this other guy with a kinda bad attitude didn’t even try.

The registration model is very tricky. You are liable to pay for whole year and really can't avoid any specific months even if you have valid reasons. The gyms close by are very pricey and that's why this gym takes an advantage of luring people for lower fees but locking the people for an year. My husband lost his jacket first day at gym because it's super crowded and no proper surveillance. Further there is a free consultation session at the start and the only target is to register you for new sessions of consulting which are like 113 dollars per 2 weeks and they put pressure on you to register.

Facilities are okay, really crowded at times but that's fine. Beware of the free "personal training session" they offer, though. The trainer won't even weight you or assess your form, they'll just talk. (Also worth nothing that my trainer was 20 minutes late and he didn't even apologize. ) If you want any actual training, you need to sign up for PT sessions, and the minimum number you have to take is something like 35 at $49 each. That's a lot of money to commit upfront to something you can't even try out beforehand. Why not let people pay by the session, or at least by the month? Anyway, do not sign anything in that meeting without making *absolutely* sure you know what it is. There's another reviewer on here who says they were tricked into paying thousands of dollars for a hundred sessions.

Highly recommended for providing family gym services. The only-known gym in town with daycare, Jacuzzi & Sauna. Very particular with timings, wish it was all day active Edit - June’23 The Jacuzzi is out for 5 weeks and no knows when it will be fixed. BROKEN SHOWERS!

Great gym with a complete suite of good quality equipment as would be expected of an international franchise. The gym has a good layout with several of the same machines available on the floor for resistance training. Change room is clean and there are extra amenities that may be useful…myself i like that there is a pool, a turf area and plenty of squat racks from which you can perform compound barbell exercises and pull ups. The price is very reasonable compared to other gyms that I would consider lower quality such as Econofitness which may cost even more depending on which plan you select. The main inconvenience I would say at this location is that it can get crowded especially in the early evening (I go in the morning which is generally not too bad).

I’ve been working with Coach Stanford for a while now and could not have had a better experience. He is encouraging, supportive and has a wealth of knowledge to guide people in their fitness goals. I have gone down pant sizes, I am stronger and have more confidence. He makes the workouts fun, enjoyable and interesting each session. He’s so easy to get along with and very patient. He makes me look forward to each session and makes the overall experience a great one. Would highly recommend Stanford to anyone looking for a personal trainer. The gym itself is fully equipped with everything you could need and is always clean. Each staff member I’ve encountered has been incredibly friendly and helpful.

Beware, very busy during the day also....A BUNCH of people don't clean their machines after use. Clean it yourself before you touch it. They need better supervision and enforce people to clean machines or ban...

They don’t have cancelation policies, nor freezing accounts. because “they have gyms in every city” and that is not right I’ve been charged for about 5 months more. And when I moved to London Ontario. I found out that they don’t have worlds gym in here, they kept on charging me for no service. Management team you should give a good reason for not having a cancellation policy. Or add a cancellation policy for those who have a reason to cancel or end the contract.

I have had a rather unpleasant experience with the gym. I came in to sign up my son and was misinformed about the premium. I was told it included private sessions with a coach. When I found out it was not the case, that it was group sessions not private ones, I downgraded to VIP the same day. Now I am being charged for Premium and am being told it will not be refunded, that only next month I will be charged VIP. Why should I pay for Premium for one month when I downgraded the same day because I was misinformed? Please settle this asap. I was given the managers email address to email and it was incorrect.

I have been in gyms all over the world and this gym is so big yet there are machines missing. So many people and not enough weights, machines, and benches. It can be so much better. For example no incline chest machines. Yet there are 2 flat chest machines. There should be 2 of everything so that everyone has a chance to workout properly and efficiently. BTW There is a dead space in the gym as soon as you walk in to the left. Thx Sue

Salacio is a top coach that I highly recommend! I have been training with him for about 7 months now with the goal of feeling better in my body every day and I feel more motivated than ever. He perfectly knew how to adapt to my level. He makes the sessions fun and makes me want to surpass myself week after week.

Big thank you to the assistant manager and manager that helped me resolve a membership issue. They were true professionals, polite and courteous. Big thumbs up as well to the receptionist who helped with my renewal, who was kind and helpful with my questions. Very happy to do business with World gym Brossard.

Gym offers a good variety of exercise equipment, including a nice swimming pool, sauna, and hot water pool for relaxation. The downside is that it get quite crowded, so you might have to wait for equipment like benches and barbells. On the bright side, the place is clean and well looked after by the staff.

  • 4/5 Nicholas L. 9 months ago on Google
Nice gym a lot of amenities to use such as a pool/sauna area and even tanning beds. There are many different machines to get a good decent work out as well as different classes to partake in if you’re looking for things such as yoga or a spinning class. My only gripe with Worlds Gym is the lack of parking spaces at times and just how busy this place can get at certain hours as well as the lack of weights in the weight room. Aside from that the gym is well maintained and fairly cleanly all for a decent membership price. Will continue to frequent this gym.

Great gym and great trainer "Daniel Davies". Very professional, very punctual and very devoted. With his positive energy he gets you motivated from the very beginning. Thank you so much dear Daniel for everything. You're the best couch ever.

The gym is HUGE but the dumbbells/free weights section is TINY and always so crowded, you're suffocating in there and always bumping into people. Worst gym space allocation I've ever seen. Shame because it has a lot of potential to be the greatest gym in the area. Will not return there.

Hi World Gym, I wanted to give you 5 star rating today as yours is one of the best, most cleanest gym around with tons of equipments. But today I had to drop down the rating because of one of your staff members, she is occasionally at the desk in morning hours around 7:30am-9am, Wednesday, she has long curly open hair (just for identification). My husband is a member of the gym and I join him as guest everyday. Today, when we asked this lady for guest form, she asked for my id proof. I tried to show my DL picture on phone but she refused to see it. She claimed that she has already warned me multiple times in the past that she will not let me in if I don’t bring physical ID proof, but it was a lie just to humiliate me in front of other gym members at the desk. It was just once before she told me that, a month back when I wasn’t aware of this rule. Her attitude was exactly the same the first time too. She said if you don’t bring your physical id next time then better don’t come and threatened to expel me from the gym. Her tone was like I was someone begging for free gym session from her!! Come on, we have paid you guys for guest membership too by taking your premium joint membership, we are not asking for freebies from you. She asked me to show my vaccine passport and let my husband go without seeing his passport. Are we supposed to be discriminated if we are guests? Gosh, yeah I forgot to bring the physical DL today but that doesn’t mean I deserved to be treated in an insulting way by her. The other desk staff members have always been extremely cordial and sweet in tonality with us, she is the only one who is ill-treating customers World gym I request you to please issue some kind of entry card to the guests too so that we don’t have to face this insulting treatment again by her. After all we have paid you for bringing guest members with us.

I was very fortunate when I renewed my membership and was a offered a consultation with a coach. Never thought of that as an option before, when working out at the gym. Best thing to happen to me. Definitely worth a try! I was lucky to get the best and perfect coach for me, Daniel Davies. He is professional, knowledgeable, and passionate about his work, and helping people reach their goals. He will always adapt the exercises to your abilities and always has a positive attitude. He helps you not only gain physical strength but inner strength. He brought me back to life when I felt I was drowning. Never felt so great and happy. Thanks so much Daniel.

It’s upsetting to be told that in order to use an abs roller you’d have to go to your locker and get something personal to trade for it. I totally understand that there is theft and the gym wants to protect it’s items from being stolen. However I’ve never had this problem before and it is very concerning that something personal/ valuable has to be exchanged for an abs roller that cost $15. Martin who was working at the front desk insisted that I go to my locker and get something valuable. Maybe instead of asking for someones personal valuable you start using the sign in and out method or put a sign up informing your customers of THIS new practice.

Decent gym. Can get very busy but everyone is friendly. The swimming pool is nice, but could be bigger. I would recommend that they perform the maintenance of the pool during off-hours. Steam room and ice bath would be much needed upgrades

Great gym. All equipment is new and well maintained. The gym is clean and there is a ton of sanitizing stations to clean off the equipment after you use it.
