An art gallery that is worth the visit. Unique and intriguing art pieces. There was an excellent selection of pieces that although had no description attached, we had a tour guide named Jay who made the experience memorable. He explained things with a passion sometimes absent from tour guides and went above and beyond to create an immersive experience. As one who has always been skeptical about modern art, Jay was wonderful in finally convincing me to appreciate it. Overall, it was a worthwhile visit that I would recommend, as it is completely free exhibit in exchange for a priceless experience.

The Kusama exhibit was worth the multiple attempts and several hours spent trying to get a ticket. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially when I discovered I had accidentally deleted my eticket the morning of my scheduled visit. I was quickly reissued a ticket after calling PHI for assistance. I've visited two infinity mirror rooms previously, in Toronto and Boston, and loved that the two rooms in this experience were enjoyed individually and not as part of a group like the others I have been to. Was also my first time seeing Kusama's pumpkins in person. Thank you to the PHI Foundation for bringing this free exhibit to Montréal.

The Yayoi Kusama exposition was just simply amazing and I loved every bit of it. The place is not hard to find and well located. The staff is super friendly as well.

Saw the Lee Bae exhibit here in June. Beautiful space and beautifully curated art. It would have been quite a challenge setting up the exhibit with the artist remotely directing from another country because of the travel restrictions, but the gallery did a wonderful job presenting the art.

Amazed by the Phi Foundation, couldn't believe it was free! So many cool installations and the staff were so knowledgeable and welcoming. We will definitely be back each time there is a new exhibit. Hidden gem for sure!

Totally disappointed by the Yayoi Kusama exhibit. The pathway is barely a 10 minute experience overall. Organization was poor. No wonder it is free, although it took us three months to get tickets, had a lot of expectation…

Went to see the Yayoi Kusama exposition and it really surpased my expectations. The center is very well managed and the exposition was amazing. Loved the experience.

Must visit place. The infinity rooms were a delight to watch. The duration for watching the rooms was 45 seconds which was not enough I guess. Rest, it was an amazing experience for us.

This exhibition will introduce visitors to the spiritual and philosophical depth of the artist’s work. Since her early forays into painting, sculpture, and performance, Kusama has long explored the conceptual and formal aspects of phenomenology and immersion in her work. At a time when the digital and virtual have overwhelmed our sensibilities, Kusama’s environments proffer analog experiences that both situate viewers within and beyond our universes.

If you're someone who likes contemporary or modern art, Foundation PHI is a must visit when in Montreal. Located in Old Montreal, it is easy to find and access. All exhibits were interesting and thoughtfully curated. Note that tickets must be booked in advance. While exploring we had the whole place to ourselves and were able to just wander and take it at our own pace.

Following the covid-19 rules we had limited visitors per floor and a calm welcoming atmosphere. The showing space for both locations were well lit and displayed definitely an art space to visit.

I went to Fondation PHI once for a special limited art event and it was really cool. The staff knows there stuff well and they are really professional. I went with a bunch of friends and the experience was amazing. The tour was maybe 2h and we learned a lot about the history of the artist, her personal life and challenges so it was very inspiring.

I'm always blown away by the attention to detail for the ideas expressed at this gallery. It's one of my favorite to visit in Montreal.

Was very lovely experience. Was expecting a bigger exhibit but it was lovely for what they had

Very much enjoyed the light exhibit, well worth the time! Tickets say they are sold out for August though, so best to book in advance.

Wonderful gallery to immerse oneself in contemporary art. There was a guide named Johnson that was apt to speak with us about the art. Engaging with him really helped enjoy the art more. I think more people would enjoy art if there were more people like him in galleries. The multiple floors allow for a separation of thought between exhibits. I'm glad I came here to begin my exploration of the Montreal art scene.

A truly exceptional place for contemporary and media art.

Obviously, a lot depends on the show they're having, but this is a wonderful exhibition space. Split over two buildings, it's great discovering the temporary display. And the staff is sooo friendly. We were waiting outside in the rain for it to open and the staff came to fetch us 🤩. Don't get this confused with the PHI center. Similar name but that one focusses on performance, talks...

Beautiful and engaging exposition about the work of artist Phil Collins (not the drummer). I loved this installation especially, the atmosphere in the cabins was very intimate and soothing and the music very good.
