We’ve been there pre Covid and it was very good. Really worried this restaurant couldn’t make it during Covid. And we are so glad it’s still open and serves very nice food. They have outdoor seating under patio. The menu is big enough and there are many options, you can choose meat/protein, vegan, sampler plate or signature dishes. The food is incredibly delicious and big. The Ethiopian flat bread is so unique and tasty. We couldn’t stop eating it. We had the appetizer and two main entrees. And it’s absolutely enough for two people. You should try the lamb stew. Perfectly good. The service is flawless. We definitely will visit there again.

Tasty vegan options. Love their Vegan Goodness platter and veggie Sambusa. The waitress was very nice, attentive and the food was delicious as always. They offer a couple parking spots in the back alley, though there is plenty of street parking as well.

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food and I loved it! My partner and I got the vegan goodness combo (which comes with collard greens, green beans, and lentils) and one beef dish. It was the perfect shareable portion. The Injera was super tasty and had a nice yeasty sourdough flavor that paired nicely with the meat and veggies. I loved how aromatic, spicy, and tangy the food was. Lots of amazing and bold flavors.

Located in "Little Ethiopia", there are several restaurants to choose from. This place has a great atmosphere. My daughter and I try a new restaurant every month and new cuisine. Ethiopian food was totally new to us. We absolutely loved it. It was definitely more food than we could handle at one sitting. My suggestion is to be adventurous and try it.

Such a fun experience. We got the emperor, and as two hungry people this was plenty (and we had leftovers). Such a perfect way to sample a new cuisine! We enjoyed every single item. Especially the lamb stew! A must try.

Got the emperor which had 5 meat dishes, 6 vegan dishes and salad. None of the meat dishes stood out. However the vegan dishes were excellent. Injera was pretty good too. Service was slow and standoffish. Update: Went on a weekday. Service was definitely better(service updated to 3 stars). The beef sambusa is amazing. The awaze tibs was pretty good too. The plantains are also pretty good. They provide plenty of injera with your meal.

My friend picked this place out because I have Celiac and the site mentioned their gluten free injera. I let the waitress know at the top of the meal that I had a gluten allergy so I would be ordering my own entree instead of sharing a group order with my friends. She confirmed that they would substitute gluten free injera. When my order came out, it had the gf injera on the side but was still served on top of regular injera. When I told the waitress I couldn't eat anything touching gluten food she seemed perplexed. I explained I needed a fresh order and it went back to the kitchen. Well either they didn't give me a fresh order or something else in the dish contained gluten because I've have now been violently ill for the past hour. It really bummed me out because I tried to be communicative but the waitress seemed bothered to have to interact with us at all. And furthermore it is very frustrating for restaurants to offer things that are "gluten free" only to find out that things are cross contaminated like crazy in reality. No other allergy is treated with this flippancy. Also, they charged my $9 extra on top of the listed price for the "gluten free" injera and that surcharge was nowhere listed on the menu

Such a great place! Came here for a dinner with colleagues and the owner and his daughter were incredibly welcoming. Food was delicious and enjoyed by all, we had a combination of vegan and meat eaters. Will be back!

Lovely outdoor seating. The food was tasty and filling. As you can see lots of bread offered, it's called injera and it's very tasty. A bit pricey compare to other Ethiopian places though. I have to mention there’s like 10 different Ethiopian restaurants in the same street.

Very cool authentic Ethiopian restaurant. Service was great and the food was better. They will teach you how to eat it. You eat WITH YOUR FINGERS! No silverware, it’s very cool! Totally forgot to get more photos but I highly recommend this spot!

Comfortable spacious air conditioned. Lovely wall murals and rattan umbrellas overhead...Vegan Goodness!! My colleague ordered the fish...it came whole.... fried... with veggies...and it was all pronounced delicious. Metered parking on street. Summon your car karma. Grateful we could discuss business over lunch for two hours without being rushed out. The injera is perfect and you get an extra platedul of thus Ethiopian bread ...nicely portioned, folded and rolled.

This place had delicious food! The price and portions were large for the combination plates. I have tried some of the neighboring restaurants and would definitely come back here for the price and quality. The atmosphere is very relaxed and underwhelming, however.

I have been eating at Rosalind's for over 30 years. I believe it was since 1989, if my memory serves me well. The quality of the food is consistently high. The flavors are as authentic as I remember them from my childhood. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and courtesy towards customers by the management servers and cooks. This is the place in LA County to eat Ethiopian food. There is no need to eat precooked and frozen food that tastes like chicken jerky. If you are looking to experience authentic, fresh, clean and well prepared Ethiopian Food, go to Rosalind's. I recommend them very highly and you will not be disappointed. Rosalind's, thank you for all the years of amazing Ethiopian Cuisine. Happy Orthodox Easter!

This is my absolute FAVORITE Ethiopian restaurant!!! I've been coming here for years and have had Ethiopian food in mant different cities (DC, SF, NY Atlanta) and this remains my favorite one. I highly recommend.

Great flavor, slow service. Large restaurant. We ordered the vegan platter, with the lamb stew. The flavor of the stew, and quality of the lamb was great. I often find the meat is so fatty, but not here. However, I just think the portions were very small with the veggie dishes. For $20, there’s a lot of competition in little Ethiopia and the portions were the smallest I’ve seen.

An absolutely fantastic restaurant all around. If you want great Ethiopian food at solid prices this is the place to go. The staff is extremely kind and helpful and made us feel at home. The combination plates are a lot of food for the price and let you try a few items.

Delicious community sharing Ethiopian food. Casual thatched roofed themed restaurant. Prepare to forgo traditional knives and forks and scoop up food with roti like baked bread. Friendly staff will help you order and tell you about the dishes. Prices are very reasonable.

Dishes were very hit or miss. The shiro wat was the honestly bad and we did not finish it but the misir wat was quite tasty. Service and food presentation were not great for the price. There was no coffee available despite a coffee pot and mugs clearly displayed which caused some disappointment.

Truly the best Ethiopian food that I've ever had. Often times the spices can make everything taste similar but each dish shined with it's own flavor. The injera was also nice and fluffy! The 'emperor' was enough to feed 4 of us easily. We also got the fried plantains which were hot and eaten so quickly I didn't have a chance to get a picture. Our waitress was very kind, attentive and readily available to explain any questions we had.

My family and I used to go to another Ethiopian place before it closed, and for a while we didn't want to try anything again, but we went here one day and now it's a regular for our dinners! So good, you can tell the lady cares about the place, it also has vegan options (but the meat is also great).

The food is flavorful and leaves your taste buds wanting more. They have a Vegan Goodness plate that is filling. I would recommend adding an order of Sambosas. The service was good, but the parking is limited. You got to jump on the first opening you find, even if the restaurant is half a block away.

Outdoor patio dining, takes reservations, quick and friendly asrvice. Got only vegetarian plate + 1 Sambusa and it was enough for 2. The sambusa is large (size of a hand) and my surprise highlight - crispy and delicious. Surprised they didn't offer a dessert menu but they might have just been busy that day. Would return, though my fav (for FLAVOR) is still Meals by Genet :)

This place is pretty special. The group I was in got pointed towards the direction of the Sheba Lounge by one of the bartenders at Fat Angel after we made the mistake of going there after dinner, instead of going there for dinner in the first place.Since we were in the mood for cocktails over beer, she suggested Sheba across the street.

The food is great but they cut corners on the enjera. Not the same like it used to be The Center and the most important thing of Ethiopian food is the Enjera made from at least 75%Teff Rosalinds serve Enjera is straight self rising and I was not able to eat the delicious food And I had to discard it Serving Ethiopian food with self rising flour is very disrespectful to customers and community I will not go back again

They don't sell diet Coke, only coke and Sprite but they found me a can of diet Coke because I had asked for that initially. The food is great here and the atmosphere is clean and smell free. They also just put straw umbrellas up on every seat. Gives it more of an exotic look

This place has not disappoint! Been coming here for years and this is way past due. The vegetables platter is on point, perfect balance of spices. There are only few choices of Ethiopian plates as this place is more fusion. I also liked the cheese platter. I normally go on weekdays, and parking was not bad at all. Loved the live band jazz!

Rosalind's is my favorite restaurant in LA so far! I love ethiopian food, it has delicious and rich flavors and for sure the kitfo with veggie combo would be my last meal if I knew this would be my last day on Earth! The staff is always very nice and attentive! If you haven't tried yet, go for it!

I personally didn’t like the place .. i am giving 1 start because of couple things that i have noticed .. 1, There is a Hookah bar next to the restaurant its just annoying to eat while smelling the odor 2, The restroom — Don’t you think its way better to spend a couple of dollar and fix , clean its just unhealthy to see i ll never go back .

Located in the "Ethiopian town". Neat, almost cozy location, a front patio, and a separate bar big room. Food is a very interesting experience, similar to other places in the area. Overall, a good experrience a place that I recomended. Parking on the main street, or...if lucky one can try the back/alley parking.
