Easily the worst hotel me AND my fiance ever stayed at. The sheets were dirty, the tub was dirty, the phone was stained, everything was just dirty. They still haven't given me my deposit back and never answer the phone when you call multiple times in a row. Overall just a very dissapointing experience would not book again.

This must be one of the nastiest hotels in California. Don't waist your money here, it's not worth it. I took pictures of roaches, dirty toilets, broken hair dryer, dust every where, water leaks in the hallways, nasty carpet, dirty sheets, cracked walls, and many more nasty things. My stay here was HORRIBLE.

The double that was advertised looks like a twin the room looks dusty and dirty phone doesn’t work to call the office to complain and when I ask for an upgrade to a king room like I usually get without asking because I’m a diamond member seemed to be a problem the girl working the overnight counter conviently just sold the last king room even though the still had some on the app the sheets don’t look washed and the carpet has things still on the floor indicating no vacuuming. I’m upset and this is the first review I’ve left on a room and I’ve stayed at 158 different ones this calendar year so I’m pretty familiar Montebello quality inn is not quality I knew I should I went to the comfort inn the choice points weren’t worth this stay

I will be canceling my second night here. First of all this hotel says it’s 100% smoke free but my room smelled so bad like cigarettes that i had to ask to change rooms and my second room still smelled like cigarettes, just not as bad as the first. Second, they leave the side door open at night so anybody can just walk in without a room key. And third, BEDBUGS!!!! I woke up in the middle of the night because both my arms were swollen and COVERED in bug bites!! Do not stay here! I will be asking for a refund.

The people were very nice, they accommodated my needs, being I was in a wheelchair. They have a swimming pool. The breakfast was great in the morning. I never had complaints about the service or the business. They were very helpful, and I'm thankful for their assistance. My only complaint was that someone in the next room was smoking weed, and it would come through my oxygen tube straight into my nose . It was a non-smoking 🚭 facility, but it made it difficult to breathe. Other than that, the stay was beautiful and peaceful. It was amazing to open the curtains and feel safe in the evening. And to let sunshine 🌞 in the room in the mornings. It made everything worthwhile. Reading my bible in that atmosphere was great because there weren't any distractions or noise other than everyday to day living. This place was by far one of my favorite places. The staff was honest and very dependable. I love this place it was family oriented, and we felt welcomed.

Front desk employees are rude. Room was run down but clean. Comfortable beds. Sheets/blankets were clean. Breakfast was good. Checked out 11 days ago and still no refund on my deposit. Tried to call about it but front desk guy was not helpful and was rude again. UPDATE! Took 15 days for deposit refund.

Do not stay at this hotel. Rude staff that never smiles, they're greedy with their so called complimentary nasty bland breakfast. The one serving staff that served a lot of guests so resulting in slow service, stopped my daughter and husband at the door just to take the breakfast that my daughter had leftover, from her hands and said you can't take this to go. And continued to say, my boss is watching. As if we need to know that the boss is spying on guests. Also you pay a so called 100 dollar deposit that is supposed to be returned to you but when checking out they refuse to do so instead they tell you that it will be mailed out to you instead. Which is annoying because you're there checking out, why not just hand it to you? Seriously ghetto, stinky and bad service. Please don't stay here.

I don't normally write reviews but this was severely worse than expected. I saw that it was cheaper than the area (~130/night) but the experience wasn't worth it. First, the shower didn't drain and would clog at first use. They sent someone to fix that night but it took two hours to be able to use it again. The hallways have a musty smell and humidity to them, smelled like cigarette smoke. So did the rooms, wasn't clean that well could see dust in a lot of places and there was hair stuck on the bathroom door already. small bathroom with small toilet seat. small pillows that are square and not that soft. not happy with stay. go stay in OC or LA

We spent two nights and they don’t clean up the rooms until after the 2nd night. That means that they don’t change your sheets, nor come in and straighten out the bed/room. I totally understand the sheets because of water saving, but maybe I am the only one in the world hoping to be pampered by finding the room/bed made. Since our sheets needed changing I asked for them to be changed. I got 2 sets if sheets for me to change, but they were the wrong size and the man that delivered them was upset he had to bring them to the room. The shower didn’t drain properly. The electricity went off Saturday and a while longer on Sunday morning. The whole place needs to aired out and the carpeting to be cleaned. It smells bad.

Please people, DO NOT STAY HERE. Worst Hotel in the Country. Rude employees, Fake & Insincere so-called **manager**. They lie to you, and the breakfast is 2 see-thru, transparent pieces of Bacon, and 1 egg. Beware! You pay for parking, & then they give away your space to someone else. Beware. Please, everyone, read ALL of the reviews. They are all True. This is the worst hotel in the country. Beware.

Bad service, rude staff, so not accommodating, dingy looking, thrift store furniture, greedy management that are dying to keep your deposit, the entire place smelled weird, ghetto and raggedy looking, not once asked to tidy up our room as a matter of fact I don't recall ever seeing a cleaning staff at all. And we were here 4 days! The picture on the website looks nothing like the place. Oh and I saw roaches in the so called dining hall and in our restroom. The worst hotel stay by far. See for yourself if you dare. And the price wasn't even that great.

This place is tacky and ghetto. It looks nothing like the Google pic. The staff was rude, wouldn't greet you, would spy on you if they didn't recognize you, not once offered any help or service, they charge a 100 dollar deposit fee but refused to return it to my wife, even though they new she was with me. We spoke to the manager Perla and she replied that she could mail it instead because that was policy. As if that would be a better option? It will eventually get lost in the mail. My wife booked the room under her priceline account. Shouldn't that suffice. The whole place looked like a dirty laundry hamper. Everything looked second hand. If you want bad service, rude staff, greedy managers, old dingy furniture, nasty complimentary breakfast with no flavor that tasted like cardboard (not an exaggeration) and for the entire place to smell like a dirty laundry hamper then stay here. If I could give them zero stars I would. Seriously. Not at all hotel material. If you still book it then you will see for yourself and flush your money down the toilet. Shame on you Perla.

All around average place to stay. You can tell it's very old & ouydated but that's ok. Very weird impression the first night because the hallway to go to our room was unusually & uncomfortably hot (also smelled like feet). Room itself didn't feel dirty but it was old. AC was kinda stanky after turning it on but the smell went away. It's a place to stay with a roof over your head & with the way our trip went (almost with no lodging), I can't complain. Bathrooms dont have good ventilation tho so when you shower it gets incredibly humid added with the lightbulbs they use which give off imense heat.

For the most part, the room was acceptable and thoroughly clean. One of the pillows was a little worn and didn't have a pillow case. Otherwise, its a decent place. The chinese foo dogs at the main entrance were awesome! Definitely unexpected.

I enjoyed my stay. I slept like a baby. The room was very clean and didn’t have that “heavily disinfected and/or scent that’s more of an odor” that cheap places have. That’s probably what I appreciated the most. The staff was very friendly. For the dates I booked & when I booked them (maybe 36 hours before check-in, possibly less) it was an outstanding value. Breakfast was excellent, I loved the coffee.

We stayed for 4 nights. It’s decent price compared to others and our location was good for the parks. There is alarm that goes off at night in the neighboring building that was terrible at 3am. Never tried the pool since the door to it was locked. The room is in need of help, the pull out couch is helpful for my kid to sleep in but it was stained. The pillows look gross but we always bring our own. The carpet needs remodeling the sink has a crack and the shower vent did not work. The breakfast is good, yes you don’t get to chose your hot items but the portion is big and there is cereal. The staff was nice and the room is quiet accept for the alarm.

The property is on the older side but the common areas are well maintained. There is an enormous fish in the aquarium that was a joy to watch (his name is Oscar). Staff was friendly & accommodating. The room was nice and comfortable, very large (had a king bed and a pull out couch with plenty of room to spare). The halls & laundry facilities were old and somewhat worn and only 1 floor had a working ice machine. The only real problem was that other guests were frequently very loud in the halls very late at night; I was woken up a number of times but the front desk promptly sent security to stop the noise. Overall, a pleasant stay in an older property but would stay there again.
