We saw a few reviews online and they seemed great so we thought we would give it a try. We stopped in to this cool little spot which was not to far from our villa and we are glad we did. The food was delicious. Jerk spices were really spicy which we loved. We ordered a bunch of menu items and took it back to our spot to do a buffet type meal. The curry chicken was cooked perfectly. We tried the jerk pork and chicken. Both were some of the best I’ve had. The curry shrimp was delicious as well. We were all very pleased. Definitely recommend

Best in the West got really the best jerk chicken in this area. We've been there twice because of the jerk chicken. The size of the portions are huge and the price is very good for that size. And last but not least the tast. Its soo incredibly good. The chicken is tender and jucy like heaven and the housemade jerk sauce is not from this plant. I absolutely loved this sauce. Perfect taste, perfect Hot. Just delicious!!!

Service was by far some of the best I have received in Jamaica, very nice, courteous and proper. The food was decent as well, the jerk chicken was very flavorful but it wasn't the best I have had in Jamaica. Still I will definitely be back for the atmosphere and vibe alone.

Absolutely delicious and authentic food. Plentiful amounts and great prices. Whatever you dream Jamaican food to taste like - this is it! And, there are local vendors nearby selling other authentic products.

A well known Jerk Chicken shack in Negril, across from the Coco La Palm resort. The food was good. Decent prices. The Jerk Chicken was good, the Jerk Pork was nice and spicy and the Shrimp Curry was tasty. Personally, overall decent food, very similar to a lot of the side street restaurants. The service was great, enjoyed Sabrina’s customer service and friendliness.

This is a casual restaurant that serves delicious Jamaican food with emphasis on Jamaican jerk dishes. In addition, they have a wide variety of refreshing beverages. I had the jerk pork with rice and peas which was very tasty. I also had a chicken soup that was well seasoned and hearty. The service staff was courteous and professional. I highly recommend patronizing this restaurant when in Negril.

We got to know about this place through a local on route taxi. The food is absolutely worth the wait. You also get to hear beautiful and lovely live music by dining there

Damn the jerk chicken here is good! Low key spot on the side of the road but it’s so worth it to stop by. Try the oxtails, the jerk chicken of course, and the conch soup. So good I might have to be back before I leave.

Coming from my Louisiana mother, I’ve learned to love jerk chicken ESPECIALLY when it kicks. We heard this place was the best in town and it didn’t disappoint!! The food was pretty good, however lacked the spice I was looking for. I didn’t necessarily think it was the ‘best’ in terms of jerk chicken, but the fried chicken was indeed incredible. I think I’d check out elsewhere next time around but I think this is a must try for negril first timers.

Service was 10/10 the stairs to go upstairs were steep and the bathroom was small still clean though so I didn’t really have an issue the food was good and the price was great for a restaurant on the beach road. Nice restaurant if you’re looking for a low key hangout spot for date night while in Jamaica.

The name is fitting. They take credit cards and our server Vince was amazing. We were licking our plates and the cost hands down a deal.

Let me start by saying this cute little place is located in Negril. We stumbled upon this great restaurant by accident. We didn’t make a reservation and we’re seated right away. We ordered and the food came out quickly, and was freshly made. The food was nothing short of amazing, with great flavor and super filling. We ordered fish soup “fish tea” and chicken soup both were generous servings and tasted great. We then both ordered oxtails with rice & peas which was cooked to perfection falling off the bone again with generous serving sizes. We ordered fried chicken to go and oh man it was so still crispy, and so juicy the next day for lunch! We tried a sweet potato pudding and ohhhh man the sweetness the softness was so good. This place is like a little hidden gem definitely a must try.

Wife and I had ordered the fried lobster and the curry chicken both fresh and excellent. As we waited for our orders, we watched the chef grill the jerk chicken. That also looked and smelled delicious. We ordered a couple drinks as well they were a bit underwhelming. Unfortunately the staff wasn't welcoming at all they stared and made you feel uneasy.

Very authentic. The vibe, the food, the atmosphere. If you go definitely get a fruit smoothie, it's nothing like what you get in the states. The rice and peas is the best I have EVER had EVER! The festival is good too! Looks like a place tourist would drive by, but don't let the small location fool you. Best meal in jamaica!

The food was good. The prices are alittle on the high side. The service was good. Definitely not for locals but more for tourist.

Did someone say fun drinks, at a great price, to go?!?! That is correct! You can order your food and all drinks to go, or dine in. I've done both in the last three days.

One of the locals we met recommended this place. My friend and I were originally supposed to have dinner at Ricky’s Cafe but decided to come instead… I’m glad we did. Loved the grilled lobster, rice and peas and dumplings! But the best part about this place are the services and the locals. It’s a simple mom n pops restaurant that serves a lot of flavor and deliciousness 😁

Attended to within 30 seconds of stepping into a relatively populated eating space. Warm, friendly staff. Food was served before I could finish my soup. Affordable prices and consistent quality food (I did return the next day). A good roadside stop experience, especially the customer service.

The Best in the West has definitely the best Jerk Chicken I have ever tried. And don’t forget to order the jerk sauce it was sooo delicious. Even for vegan people there are options to eat some good food. Will miss this place. Go there try it out and enjoy it you wont regret it I promise.
