This was the best holiday so far, the beach was amazing, the sea was so warm, the views were perfect, every evening we watched the sunset on the clear blue sea. The staff were great, so friendly, the food was great and the drinks were awesome. The rooms were great, the only down side was the air con in the room was a little noisy but after the first night we got used to it. The entertainment was so good, throughout everyday and a show every night. I would not have changed anything and wish I was back there now.

I've been out of the country to several all inclusive resorts. For me it's not about the room so much as the experience. With that said, this was easily the worst room I've ever had. There were ants, all in the bathroom that had clearly been there for a while because they had a neat little path they all followed to wherever they were going. The drain for the shower was really slow and when asked about it they just said, it doesn't work properly. My feet were covered in my own shower water within seconds. Last but not least, only 2 of 3 elevators worked, and one of those only worked to go down. You couldn't call for it to go up. Once outside of the main living quarters, it was great though. Good food, the service staff was really great, views and included activities were very satisfying and I got the best pedicure of my life there. If I knew they improved the condition of the living area I would definitely go back again.

Booked 5nights at this location. Very relaxing and chilled environment. Pleasant beach and island to walk across the water to. Good depth for children also. Entertainment every night and a few activities during the day, if you care to do more than just relax by the beach. Very good food. Drinks were not bad, but different mixers did them slightly differently. Overall servers were attentive and helpful. Restaurants were a good touch with nice ambiance, food, and service. Excellent view from our room and comfortable bed. Older furnishing but cozy. There is a night club which people seemed to look forward to. Good for everyone- separated adult beach, pool and bar area, and ares and activities for children. Only really issue was the wifi being unstable in our room for long periods of time. Otherwise, would definitely go again for a nice relaxing get away and all-inclusive experience.

The site, the beach, and everything outside was amazing. The food and the rooms could use a little work. The food is fine C+. For the price was adequate. The rooms are really rough. Night one the door, broke. Moved to a new room, it rained and leaked inside around the door. You get what you pay for. The beach and waterfront are really nice though. Family friendly. Good entertainment.

Let me start off saying this is the worse experience I ever had with a resort. 1. First day it was a 3 hour delay to even check in. The girl in the front desk was not upfront on the delay until a gentleman working there stepped in and told us the real reason. 2. We saw several roaches in our room. It was like pulling teeth to get housekeeping to clean our rooms. I had to call guest services 4 times to get someone to clean! 3. I had three rooms total. One of the rooms the AC was struggling to keep up. It was so loud and not cold. The other room sink was leaking for days. I had to request maintenance 6 times in order for someone to come and fix it and when they finally came, it was a rushed job and never fixed right. In our room the bath faucet fell off. It was never fixed properly. 4. The workers at the front desk half of them was very rude and unprofessional. It was one worker who went over and beyond for me. Her name is Ivy she was about the only one who was professional. 5. The rooms are very outdated and need some serious renovated. 6. The nightly entertainment was fun 7. The Pub which is the night club was very empty. No one seemed interested 8. The bartenders was very nice and made good drinks 9. They have a total of 1 buffet. Food was so-so depending on the day. 10. Bottom line make this your very last option to stay here

Friendly polite helpful staff. Though staffing is a bit short handed and hence slow…like everywhere else in the world right now. Beach is very pretty but some areas are full of seaweed and the sand can be mushy. Facility is old and in need of a renovation but they keep it clean and in decent working order. Food decent as well but not overly spectacular. Live entertainment was very good. Hotel suffers in the water sports department. You can’t take the kayaks out beyond small roped off swimming area. And you can’t take the Hobiecats out by yourself, a lifeguard has to go with you…even if you are a commercially licensed sea captain 🙄. So effectively you can’t have “fun” and the only thing to do here is lie around the beach or pool, stuff your face, and get drunk. Boring for me for me and that reason I would not stay here again. Hotel appears to be good value though and all the other guests appeared happy with it.

Way better than I thought it would be. All of the family members really enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn, Montego Bay, Jamaica. Loved the sprawling beach with all the man-made huts along the way. Walked to the island several times in only waist-deep water. This was super cool. Listened to the tropical birds and gentle crashing waves at sunset, which was very relaxing. The jerk chicken was very tasty. Even my wife, who is a very picky eater, also thought so. Scheduled the after-dark meal outside and this was the best lobster I've ever had. Still can't believe this was better than main lobster! The Bartenders were always on standby and willing to serve. One drawback is that it was slightly windy so there were only kayaks available- No sailboats or pedal boats. Never went off resort other than the airport because there was no real need to.

After reading the mix of reviews, I was a bit nervous taking my family to this resort. However, it was a WIN!! This was the first time my husband and I took our mother's to a resort and they had a wonderful time from start to finish. The cuisine had it's good and bad moments but overall was pretty good. We are an adventurous family so we explored the island and ate a mix of different foods (The meals were as good a cruise ship - which if you've ever gone on one, you know there are good meals and some that are mediocre). The staff was extremely kind and friendly, entertainment was great and overall good vibes. Shout out to Fitzroy in the seafood restaurant who provided exceptional customer service! There were a few downsides, but this happens anywhere (television didn't work well - but who stays on an island resort to watch T.V. all day??). Was the property outdated? Yes, however, there were painters refreshing the exterior and it was consistently cleaned. The nurse was amazing. I've never had someone walk me through the steps to cure a tummy ache the way she did...so thorough. The bartenders make the drinks they way you like them and even the gate guard offered us cups for our drinks as we exited the property. Lots of fun things to do on the water as well. Our family had a great time, felt safe and attended. The views are absolutely incredible as well...we were kissing the sea and the sun daily. We recommend this affordable and pleasurable property to others!

Pros- the food, buffet restaurant good, the specialty restaurants rotate on a nightly basis and the the food is amazing. The staff is mostly pleasant but if you are a local there is a clear difference in treatment. Cons- Aging infrastructure, on a packed weekend mostly locals only 1 serving bay, yet on Monday morning it's doubled. Normally responses from hotel management to critical reviews are just an automated type of response yet the GM herself reached out to us to discuss our concerns about our experience no bashing or excuses were made but a pleasant and explorative conversation with the aim to fix any real issues. Thank you mam I really appreciate your efforts and it speaks volumes to what your team is about and trying to accomplish.

First and foremost, our room didn't have air conditioning. Otherwise the room was great, though it was cleaned just twice in a 6-day period. The service was good considering the volume of people, although meals get incredibly crowded. Don't expect a good (or even any) table at peak hours. The beach was never crowded (actually, often empty), which is easily the best part of the resort. Expect to be offered drugs by virtually all employees!

This resort couldn't be more than perfect for families! The staff was amazing, helpful and respectful. The kids enjoyed all the food they wanted and drinks. The shows were entertaining and everyone was catered to. They upgraded our room and we had so much space for a family of 6! We will definitely be back again!

Was so happy to be back. It was nice to see so many familiar staff and meet lots of new staff. It's amazing how they remember your names after almost two years. The food was delicious but a little different with the covid precautions. The beach parties were fun. Entertainment was great! Missed the casino but definitely saved money with it not being open yet. Three of us went to the spa and had amazing massages. Thank you Winsome Smith-Hooper for making me and my family always feel welcome. Merry Christmas to you and all of your staff! See ya next year! I would highly recommend this hotel!!!

This was our first time staying at this resort and it definitely will not be the last. We had read some negative reviews with regards to the food and the resort needing to be updated and were somewhat hesitant to book this stay but we were pleasantly surprised in almost all areas! For starters, the food was amazing with lots of variety and I cannot imagine anyone not being able to find something they would enjoy at every meal. The service we received was also top notch from a very friendly and hard working staff. The resort itself is older but it is obvious that many efforts are being made as to updates. Our guestroom had nice and modern crown molding and fresh paint, new furnishings, newer mini-split type air conditioner, etc. We had a direct ocean view room which was wonderful and it appears that the buildings are laid out in such a way that even most of the rooms on the sides of the buildings would have at least a partial ocean view. The grounds and beach areas were exceptionally clean with crews working all hours to keep it that way. The beach area itself is very unique with a great little island you can wade out to and very nice brick walkways and rock dividers that form separate and somewhat private little beach areas with palapas and palm trees. All in all we were very pleased with our stay and impressed by the obvious efforts made by management and staff to please such a wide variety of guests. We hope to return soon.

I read the reviews prior to booking, but realized everyone has different opinions. Here's mine: VIP check in was quick and easy. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The grounds, in my opinion, are beautiful. Could the buildings use some updating? Sure, absolutely, but it was clean, inviting, and not an eye sore. The rooms were clean, again could use some updating, but that's not a complete deal breaker to me. We had an ocean view room, which was beautiful. The breakfast was not impressive at all. We were not told that they have a Jamaican style breakfast buffet upstairs until 2 days before we were leaving, which was annoying because that breakfast was incredible. The lunch and dinners had great options. Overall, would I stay here again? Yes. I enjoyed my stay. Everyone, staff included, was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating.

I stayed at Holiday Inn Resort for a week. amazing. The staff was always smiling. friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. The environmental team also greet us every morning as we exit our room for the day. The rooms are well kept. I would recommend this hotel and can’t wait to come back. What stood out for me the general manger was seen through out he say making sure the guest are okay and having a fun fun stay. Every night there’s activities, shows. Music, lots of food. Love love this place.

I was there 3 months ago. I had a wonderful time. The food was so delicious. We had a great room, and the service was excellent. Every worker there was so kind and helpful. I see all the complaints. You cannot go on vacation and expect to be treated like a king or queen if you are not nice to others. Excellent service comes with being patient and kind to the Working Staff at any hotel. Period!!!!! 5 star for me.

This hotel isn't being managed. The place has deteriorated significantly. Need renovation and new management. Totally disappointed. The so called beach is filled with a variety of thick weeds and algae. lack of adequate sanitation stations and the list goes on.

We had the best bartenders Kadeem and Damion. Front desk staff were great. I think we had the best room with a view of the pool, ocean and stage as well as our wonder wrap around balcony! Would have liked more options for food at the seafood restaurant. Overall simple resort that could use some updating, but definitely good for the price.

We had a great stay here. Got a lovely room at start (1340) but appliances (shower, fridge and phone) were not working. We moved to 1348 and we were back to vacation mode. The staff are incredible and very hospitable. They really made us enjoy our time here. Food and drinks are great, especially the restaurants. Make sure you book those, they are included in your package. You're right by the water and the pool is a great option too, many different beaches to choose from and they've got one for everyone. You're right next to the airport too so enjoy the quick drive and have a great stay there! Need to escape for some shopping? They've got a shuttle that'll take you to a little shopping area by Rose Hall. Haggle or pay up. Ask for the coupons as well. Get some Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee. We'll definitely be back!

Great hotel. It's all inclusive and provides pool side entertainment all day. We really enjoyed that. The food was great...They also have outdoor jacuzzi.... Water sports and an island. Very easy to walk across to the island. Found the island to be relaxing.

I took a group of 8 people with physical and developmental disabilities and this was the worst experience I have ever experienced in Jamaica. I have done a trip like this in 2019 and it went flawless so I'm not sure went wrong this time. I did stay at a different resort. We did not have accessible rooms which we asked for and confirmed numerous times prior to arrival time. The staff were not interested helping get an accessible room or even sympathetic that a couple people I was with, would not be able to shower without an accessible room. They offered an accessible room 4 days after we got there and that was me approaching them when they said they would reach out to me. Staff cleaned our room 2x in 7 days. They didn't come down the hall everyday until 5pm. Rooms could use an update or at least clean the black chalking in bathroom. TV didn't work for 3 days in 3 of our rooms and that's with 2 request to front desk a day. The beach is easy to access but only gets waist deep, if that anywhere on resort. The beach was clear for about 5 feet out and then it was rocks which you were not allowed to walk on. There is a nice island you can walk to and hang out on for the day that's where the deepest water is which maybe gets to my waist. The buffet food was not the best and no variety. The jerk hut and snack hut outside were very good. Most of the staff were very rude.

We stayed here for the first time due to attending my dad's funeral. Our experience was poor! No welcome drink! We waited a long time for someone to assist us with our luggage. It was disappointing to have ended up in a room with two double beds when we booked a room with a king-sized bed. When we brought this to the attendants attention, she made no effort to accommodate us with what we requested. We are valued customers, at least that's what they said and gave us a gold color bracelet, which means absolutely nothing! Some servers at the jerk hut and bars had a poor attitude! The buffet selection was just ok. We felt as though we were eating the same foods over and over again. We dined at the Jamaican restaurant on the upstairs premises, again the service was fair but nothing awestruck to talk about! My husband didn't even eat the Escovitch fish. I enjoyed my oxtail and peas and rice. It was tasty! One day, we had no beach towels because they were out all day. I guess no one showed up to do the laundry 😕 A plus to this resort, it was nice to have a clean room every day! Overall, it was a fair experience!

Some things are better left in the past... our first stay here was probably 1998; I don't know why my husband chose this place again... so NOT the type of hotel we usually stay at; We couldn't wait to leave... very dated, tiny bathrooms... to be fair my husband thought the bed was really comfortable. The Bob Marley entertainment was really good, but that's about it. My teen didn't enjoy the stay here either... 👎 We won't stay here again.

My name is Emma. My sister & kids treated me to a wonderful trip to Jamaica for my 50th birthday. We had to stay 1 night at this hotel to then go to Breathless Resort our final destination. Upon my stay we decided to take a last dip in the beach. I took my Rolex watch off and put in the pillow (knowing I was coming right back). With all the excitement I left the room and forgot my watch. Ran back to the hotel to retrieve my watch...the front desk staff, security and management was so rude and more worried that we checked out than retrieving my watch. They treated me like I was a criminal than someone who just left a valuable item in her room. They were very unprofessional with how they handled the situation and cared more about their image and score than getting to the bottom of things. None of the managers knew about the situation, were very unprofessional and acted nonchalantly about the situation. They talked me into allowing them to handle the situation and in my hurt, distress and disappointment went with what they started...that it was better if they handled it in-house because the police department are too busy to handle the way they would thoroughly would(not knowing this was a cover to not have the police presence there, their image tainted and scores affected)😩😩 I offered a reward to anyone with information leading to the return of my Rolex, they stated that was not necessary. After speaking with several people, they advised me to call the authorities in which I did. Upon arriving back to the resort, it took about a hour for any member of management to come and discuss the matter with the police and myself. The head of security S Miller stated to me that I shouldn't have left my valuables out, this is why they gave us a safe,(no compassion, empathy or concern at all) I had to respond to him that I should be able to leave anything in my hotel room and not be violated and my watch stolen. I worked hard for the things I have. What type of people are they hiring to work in an industry that people and their families go to enjoy and feel safe. **Yes, I left my watch out and not in the safe provided, but that does not give anyone the right to steal from me. Needless to say my birthday week started out awful. Their jerk station only had chicken and wheat bread, the place was dated, some of the staff were so rude and unprofessional. THANK YOU to Ms. Clarke -Housekeeping supervisor who came, ***the only one who showed concern, compassion and tried to get to the bottom of things right away. I appreciate you. I WOULD NOT recommend this resort to anyone...Unprofessional staff members, lack of communication, not worth the money and have thieves working for them. I don't plan on letting this go unsolved or not heard by others traveling and want to go somewhere safe. BE AWARE‼️

If grumpy employees and dilapidated buildings are your thing, this place is for you. The ocean is nice though. Pros: The beach wonderful. It's affordable (but you can tell why) Cons: The smell of mildew is in many buildings. All facilities look 20 years past their prime. It feels like a tourist meat grinder. Staff mainly seems annoyed and overworked. Some are nice, many are not. You will definitely feel like an annoyance a few times. Food is not good, but included with the price so hard to complain, I guess. The promised free watersports are almost all not in service. The kayaks were the only things available when we were there, and the route is very small and limited. No exploration allowed. Rooms are not well insulated. We were in a suite and could hear entire conversations next door. All in all, this trip was not worth it. We had some nice times on the beach, but otherwise feel we should have picked a other place.

Great ambience and welcoming atmosphere. The staff's very welcoming. The artwork enhances the aesthetics of the place. This visit was a workshop it's a great place for hosting conferences and workshops. Lunch was buffet style. I opted for the curried, which was a little too salty outside of that the meal was good. The location of the hotel makes it easily accessible by public transportation.

Great Resort with great customer service. A huge variety of food served daily. Great Location and countless activities to do nearby. Very helpful and welcoming staff and great entertainment activities for kids at the resort. Although there was a few kids, it was not an issue. Great family or girl trip location. The rooms were better than I expected and had every amenity needed for a good stay!!! I’d definitely come back again.

The check in took forever, as I went there with a group. We got there a little after 11am and had to linger around the property until the rooms were ready at 4pm, so prepare to have a long wait to get to your room if you check in before 3pm. There is a storage room available for you to rest your bags so that you can roam the property, but do ensure you have everything you need on you, as you can't get anything out of the bags once it's placed in storage. The Courtesy Lounge is available for you to rest your legs while you wait to get into your room and changing rooms are available for you to change into your swimwear if you wish to swim or enjoy all the water features while your room is being prepared. Eventually we got our rooms, though there was still some mix ups there, it was eventually rectified. My room was 1307, which meant my room was found in building #1 on the 3rd floor. The room decor is very classic and in serious need of upgrading and in some aspects in need of repairs, but it gives you the feel of what it was like being there in the 1990s. My air conditioning worked well but would make gunshot noises every now and then, which was a fun thrill to the quaint room. The view from the room was decent, as the sea could be seen as well as the play areas that too needed some upgrading. There was a rack available on the balcony to store your wet items for drying and seating if you wanted to just chill outside. The bathroom is the size of a closet, not able to hold two persons in there at the same time, so if you wish to brush your teeth while your roommate is using the toilet, just know your knees would be almost intertwined to fit in there, so coordinate as best as possible. A safe is available in the room for your valuables and a lot of drawers to store clothing. There is a tea station in each room, with cups and water provided, so you can have coffee or tea if needed. Not all rooms had a mini fridge, so ask about that at the front desk if you want that as an option. The beds were very comfortable, giving you a good night sleep. The water pressure in the shower was divine, with its strong stream of water and a black temperature gauge on the knob for you to adjust according to your preference. Ironing board and iron available for your pressing needs. The elevators to the one side were a bit ancient, so they made fun final destination style noises up and down the floors, so use the one to back of the building as it is the least terrifying of the two. There is no room service available, so crawl on out and get you a nice meal, even though I was able to sneak food up to my mother every now and then. The breakfast options were quite good, especially the omelette station, that made an excellent personalized omelette for me. The main dining hall catered to various dietary needs, so there is a little something for everyone. There are other restaurants on property, some that are free and others come at a cost, such as the Japanese and Italian restaurants. The jerk hut, soft ice cream and burger stands had meals you could have on the go as you go from place to place. A bar is available at each stand where you can have mixed drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The water features are wonderful, as there is a main pool available for adults and children with a little lazy river, an adults only pool for those who wish to enjoy a nice swim up bar with adult only conversations or antics. Jacuzzi available for those who wish to get a nice warm soak. The sea water is quite calming with a tiny island in the middle in which you can easily walk over to and relax a little away from the crowd. Nightly entertainment is quite good, as a show is held on the stage in the middle of the main pool every night, which is close to the dining hall, so you can sit, eat and watch a show at the same time. Karaoke is held at the main bar, which is fun to sing out your heart if that's your thing or just watch and have a good laugh. The club is found upstairs and is a good vibe. Beach towels need a credit card. Checkout is at 11am🙄

It was a good getaway. Rooms needed a bit update in bathroom fixtures and access room cards. But otherwise the experience of the beach and pool access and food was great.

The excursions and amenities close down between the times of 4-6pm. The front desk never answers their phones. They let you wait exactly until 3pm or later to get your room. Some of the staff at the front desk had a nasty attitude and were not welcoming. Because they did not answer the phone we found a number for their corporate office to answer questions in regards to checking in early due to having an early flight we were told yes… we asked about will there be an extra charge for a 3rd party we were told no. When we got to the hotel their response was totally different from the headquarters response. For the 3rd person we had to pay an additional $400 that we did not expect to pay. We explained the matter to the ladies at the Front, did not care, did not show any sympathy or empathy, there was no courtesy or complimentary service. We were hot, tired, dirty from traveling for so long and waiting in the hotel lobby from 11am, and they would not let us check in until 3 or after 3pm. When we asked around to wash up they told us about a lounge area where we can go in to cool off and take a shower but their water system was not working at all. When we told them they looked at us like we were crazy until they came to check for themselves. Finally got to our room for it to stay and keep cool. It had to stay at 54 (way too cold for us) degrees. Anything higher is too hot or warm. When changing or taking a shower we had to turn it off. The room inside and outside has mold/ mildew. The food was okay there to survive, however the way it was prepared was for people that dietary or allergen preference altogether. It should have been a side for dietary, a side for allergen, and a side for the guest who came to enjoy the real Jamaican food and spices, not the imitations of it. Oh and to top it off the property was full of cats, kittens, and dogs running around and in the area where you will eat outside. Over never again things will be different and plan out differently. We need to receive a full refund of the amount paid back to the original payment method that we paid. We were not happy there, could not go anywhere else due to finances, and were very disappointed with everything.

If you have children or going with family, this place I recommend you. I had the most wonderful time, and it's the first time I ever went to Jamaica. People are so kind and so caring. I felt good everywhere. I went and they were always saying good morning. Hello, even the people that were on vacation. It was so nice, it's a very family resort. And they have all types of foods. I myself loved the ox tails they were so good. My husband loved the curry goat. The food was amazing and was fresh. Every day, breakfast luncheon dinner. This is a great resort. I recommend anybody to go here And don't forget about Margarita vill

Too noisy. Should be kids under 7 free, not 12. The edge of the beach on seashore should be cleaned daily.. since the beach itself is limited because of weeds on seabed. Beautiful resort, food was great but too many flies in dining area. I loved it tho. The shows were amazing.

Check in experience was good. Check out was long. Room quality was terrible to start. No towels or supplies in the room and it took several phone calls, discussion with manager etc to get towels in the room after 2 hours of waiting ( while wet, since we went to the beach, and there was no beach towels either) . that set us in terrible mood. After that the stay was mostly pleasant. The wait staff in the food areas was very good. The location was good with easy access to the beach and pool. Pool hours was shocking. Close at 6 pm. That meant no activities for kids after 6 unless you want to go to the beach ( and no towels after 6). Sand bugs was also an issue ( several bites), Bathroom was barely meeting minimum needs. Did not have any control over the water temperature- it was either too hot or too cold and not adjustable. There was also a power outage and generators didnt kick on right away ( although we are glad it kicked on after an hour- no AC for >6 hrs). This probably happens often, not really their fault. Front desk and guest relations service could be a lot better.

Woww exceeded our expectations, Being one of the older properties in Montego Bay we were delighted to have such an experience, its very family friendly the surrounding's are sparkling clean and the food (breakfast) above average we had no issues checking in or accessing any of the amenities provided. Front desk agent was prompt and polite and speaks very clearly. It was my daughter's birthday weekend so it was a kids treat although the kids areas were a bit old fashioned no water ways or water slides but she enjoyed the pool and the staff sang her Happy Birthday at breakfast. Elevators very shaking and noisy needs upgrading, front desk area needs better lighting shades. Great Job management and staff.

For the most part this is a great place for a vacation. Food: is good at all locations, a la carts were really good, always something open to get food. Great for kids, hamburgers, grilled cheese, hot dogs, nacho's and fries at beach and pool bar, kids buffet always looked kid friendly. Rooms: clean, bathroom in standard room is very small, but has everything you need. we were in room 3203 - air conditioner worked but was really loud, looks like they are replacing air conditioners as required. Beach: Nice, but not great if you want to swim. Very shallow unless you go on the other side of the island, where there are waves and it gets a bit deeper, but then gets shallow again. Pools: do not spend time in pools, but the main pool again is not deep, and the adult pool in the Adult section is very small. Service: is good, but most areas could use more staff, as the staff does their best to keep up with demand. Great service at the Jerk Shack, loved it there for lunch. Disappointments: Check in was awful, took forever to get booked in, out of 4 rooms only one was ready when we arrived, went back for keys for rooms that were not ready and found out room numbers were changed to different buildings, and any request we had were gone. Two of the four couples got upgrades, (not sure why), and they could not/would not tell us why the other two did not get upgrades. No water in standard rooms, had to request water, and sometimes it never came. You can drink the water there, and you can buy water in the store, not too expensive.

Don’t let the negative reviews give you pause. I am pleasantly surprised that we’re enjoying our stay here. There’s definitely room for improvement on their VIP check in process. A room full of travelers waiting to be checked in by one associate is annoying. It took us an hour to get checked in. The rooms are dated but they are spacious and clean. No issues with the air conditioner. We got upgraded to a suite with a partial ocean view. There are a number of restaurants to dine at on the resort. My favorite restaurant is the Jerk Hut on the beach. Second favorite is the De Terrace in the main building. The buffet leaves much to be desired. Reminds me of the disgusting salty, greasy food you get at Golden Corral. The ground are well maintained. The hotel employees are friendly and helpful.

It just wasn’t what I expected based off the photos. The breakfast staff are amazing. The pool attendants are just as cool. The little island is a good chill spot if you can get there before the rush. We enjoyed the pool too! The night time shows are a must see. While the Nurse Station says 24hrs it’s really 0900 to 1600. The buffet is wonderful. De Terrace restaurant requires a reservation but it’s worth. The Seafood Restaurant does not have seafood. Don’t waste your time. Also there’s a dress code for the restaurants so double check before you arrive. I saw as a turned people away. Swing by the Jerk Hut for some good spice. If they hired more workers I think things would have gone smoother. For an all exclusion resort we had to organize our own outings. Beds were comfortable, but the hotel definitely needs to renovate the rooms.

    1) Service was bad. I was even told about my mother, called a batty bwoy and that I will get gun shot after speaking to a lifeguard about his behavior towards the children. 2) There was not much variety with meals. 3) Standing and waiting in lines for like a hour to be seated in the dining area. 4) Set of the rooms was a positive though, as kids were given separate bed and space thus giving adults a bit of space.

First Impression I have about this place is negative vibes & don’t feel welcome. Would leave zero star if I could. If you are looking for good atmosphere, relaxing and good authentic Jamaican foods? This is not the place to come to. From the front desk to the restaurant staffs, seems like they are all there just for the job. Through all of our 5 days 4 nights stayed, I have only seen a few of them that are appear to be friendly. Highly recommended hospitality training on all of their staffs. Food court/buffet, not much variety to choose from, mostly the same thing every days/nights. Tried most of the foods at their buffet and restaurants, they are all tasted bland. Was expecting some authentic Jamaican foods but only offer imitation jerk chicken with no taste. For the Drinks, good luck trying find bottle water. Very slim varieties of Liquor to choose from and they are definitely cheap in taste and only have one type of beer which is Red Stripe. For the Entertainment, they play music all day long and live band starts @ 8pm and loudly lasted until 1:30am nightly. Good luck getting a good night sleep. The place has a beautiful beach and view of the ocean but the hotel itself looks old and needs to be up dated. This resort is being mismanaged and would not recommend to anyone outside of the country to come to this place at this present time.

We just got back from a week at the Montego Bay Holiday Inn resort, and we can't wait to return!!!! This is such a wonderful place!! Anyone who gives this place a negative review is out to lunch. For anyone who is thinking about going there, ignore the negative reviews. Staff were professional, and friendly. We were treated amazingly right from the minute we walked into the lobby. The food was good, well prepared, and always lots to eat. We only ate at the buffet for breakfast one time as we liked to sleep in. But it was fine. We really enjoyed the options for lunch- buffet, the barefoot bar/grill, and the jerk shack. We did not visit the ice cream hut, but saw lots of folks with food items from there. The Italian restaurant was our favourite for dinner. The bacon wrapped tenderloin was perfectly cooked every time. My hubby really enjoyed the lasagna. The dinner buffet was always well stocked with many perfectly cooked items. Something for everyone. We stayed in the Rose hall building (building #7) Our room was clean, no concerns there. We very much enjoyed having the access to the Rose Hall lounge. Sure, there were some minor cosmetic things that could be addressed (a little peeling paint around the door frame, the safe could use a new coat of paint) but those things certainly did not lessen our experience. Housekeeping staff were great. The beach was well maintained and clean. We loved hanging out at the little island there. Playing in the waves, feeding the little fish, watching other aquatic life. You can see that there are many renovations going on within the resort, but that did not impact the service or our vacation in any way. Thank you to ALL the staff (housekeeping, the maintenance staff, bar staff, guest services staff, the cooks, security and anyone else I missed) for making sure we had an incredible vacation. Well done, keep up the great work. Looking forward to returning!
