My husband and I went to Jamaica for a milestone birthday. On our last day there we decided to take the island tour where we were on the party boat, had the opportunity to go snorkeling, and climb Dunn's River Falls. One thing I will say is the customer experience was wonderful and the staff is very attentive. When you purchase through Sandals they are unaware of how intense the snorkeling excursion is and if you are not able to swim against the currents or a true swimmer with skill, the snorkeling excursion is NOT for you. Needless to say, we attempted to participate in that portion of the trip and did not do too well so we came back to the boat. Once we arrived at Dunn's River Falls, it made up for the snorkeling portion of the trip as we both enjoyed every minute of it! Our tour guide was the best! He lead us up the fall and everyone felt confident while climbing up 960ft. Afterward, we returned to the boat to have lunch and danced with the boat crew heading back to Sandals Ochi Rios! It was such a memorable trip that we'll never forget.

Tour guide lady tried to get over on us selling us a tour ride that stops at the same spot , on two different guides .. horrible customer service they just get over on you to take your money in Montego Bay at the Hyatt Zilara .. better to find a different guide

The experience at the actual falls was good the tour guides were grest on the falls. The transportation was mediocre. The boat was oversold, there was no seating we had to sit on the floor, for 125 pp. Ttl 250.00 it was just not a good the bus was ittty bitty too just not a good experience. Once you get to the falls there's different guides and then you get directions from everyone, confusing you don't know who the tour guides are who the photos are taken they asked us for money and they would allegedly send the shots. Yeah not falling for that.

Stay away from Island Routes Exuma, Bahamas. Do not book with this company. They will not take you to the tour and they will keep your money. I paid the them for a tour that we did not enjoy because they were not there to provide the tour. I booked for my family the tour Exuma Swimming Pigs Adventure for 11/10/19. The day of the tour we were at the meeting place at the lobby of Sandals Emerald Bay at 8:15 AM as it is indicated in the invoice. We waited there for 1 hour. There was nobody from the company there to perform the tour or to give us any information. The hotel reception personnel called the tour company and they told me over the phone that there will be no tour because the bad seas conditions and that the money charged will be refunded. They failed to refund the money paid. Do not book with this company.

What a fantastic experience with Island Routes! Sarah Belfrage and her team were extremely accommodating and professional. It was a rainy day and yet it was still a fantastic experience! The cars are SO nice and while we were a bit nervous in the beginning with driving on the other side of the road, we quickly got the hang of it. We stopped at an authentic Jerk Shop, a roadside Cold Beer and coconut) Shop called Megans (loved the owner!) Ricks Cafe for some serious cliff diving watching, lunch at Margaritaville and the Negril Lighthouse - our tour guides were SO knowledgeable (and patient with us as we stopped to take pics constantly!) Thanks to Jozu For Women for the connection & adding Island Routes as part of our #JozuNegrilVIP experience!

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! I booked a snorkel and lobster dinner tour in Grenada with Island Routes. On the day of the tour we waited in the lobby for the instructed pick up time of 8:40am. At 9am no one had come to pick us up and I called to find out the tour was cancelled. The man I spoke with said I should of been informed but must of been missed. He asked if I would like to try and join a tour later that day but would be an additional $90 usd per person. He was going to call me with an update on the alternative tour. Then he asked if I would like the $716 usd refunded to me. Well of course we were not able to go on the tour. No one called me back the rest of the day and we were not able to go on a snorkel tour during our vacation. The company was very unprofessional. I contacted them once returning home and the refund had not yet been ordered and would take an additional 14 days to be returned to my credit card. The couple we were traveling with had used Island Routes previously when traveling through Sandals but this ruined an entire day of our trip and we were unable to see the famous underwater statues in Grenada. Very disappointing and the company was not even sorry or apologize at all. I feel it was a bait and switch to gain $400 more dollars for a more expensive trip.

Did the Rafting trip 2/05/22 which was great! Thank you Roland at Martha Rae Rafting for the highlight of my birthday trip. For Island Routes tourism, our driver for the tour was almost half hour late. Driver lacked professionalism, no greetings at arrival/departure and never introduced himself either. You have signs to wear a face mask but your drivers don’t even wear it nor enforce it.

This rating is completely skewed by local guides and local businesses that get tourists through the company. As tourists using services of the company we had a really bad experience. First tour we booked with them was to Kingston. They sold us a guided tour of the Devon House on a Saturday when the Devon house was closed (which they didn't say even though we expressed that we specifically wanted to see it). We couldn't even see the grounds and only managed a peak thanks to our very awesome taxi driver. We also booked through them a private boat tour to luminous lagoon. When we arrived, we were told that instead they booked us a private transfer to the lagoon and not a private boat tour. To take our tour we had to wait 30 minutes and then go on a boat with 40 other people. All fine, but we paid the price of a private tour. The people in charge of the local tours really tried to help with the situation, but everyone just left upset without seeing the luminous lagoon. In both cases we had zero support from the Island Routes and were only helped by the locals. Which is disgusting: they will screw up your holiday and then leave you to deal with it completely alone. Please check who your final tour operator is and if it is Island Carribbean tours, stay away. They do not deliver on their services which is very painful when you have worked hard towards and been looking forward to your holidays so much.

We did the Catamaran sunset cruise and it was a blast. Free food and mixed drinks, stopped at margaritaville, dance party with a DJ. They pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. Not really for kids. We went in September and wasn't as crowded.

They Don’t let you choose your pick up time to leave your resort. If your flight is after 12p, you’re forced to leave at 7a. Waste of a whole vacation morning on your last day.

On September 25th, 2019. My husband and I booked a catamaran trip from south coast sandals resort toPelican Bar! We left around 9:30am the clouds and storms we forming! We had a calm trip to the Pelican Bar, we left around 1:30pm. Started back on our 2.5 hour Journey back. The winds and storms were bad! Raining and 6 foot swells with white caps! I was out on the front with over 16 people. No crew was at the front and the captain did not stop the boat to get people off the front! I stated everyone, to get into the cabin. Get on your knees and crawl back to the steps! Everyone just looked at me. I proceeded as some others did! A couple on the stern side tried to stand up! The woman tried to grasp onto the rail but only a thin rope was there NOT A STEEL CABLE OR MESH! THE HIGH SEAS TOPPED HER OVER INTO THE SEA! Her husband dove after her! She went under the boat and she was hit by the moving boat and the propeller! She was severely cut . The captain panicked and the crew! Throwing round life lines out and the retrieving rope! It was pure panic on the boat! Thank God there were people on the boat that took over! A USA paramedic and nurse. The crew could not get the woman on boat that was unconscious! Ahuge young Scotsman pushed them aside a brought her in and her husband! The Captain was not trained nor were the crew in a emergency situation as this but all of this could of been avoided if the captain was in charge of his vessel!!! BE AWARE THERE IS NO COAST GUARD OR ANY MERRIWEATHER PROTOCOL IN JAMAICA! IT TOOK 2 HOURS TO GET HER TO SHORE ANOTHER 2 HOURS TO GET HER TO KINGSTON! THIS COMPANY HANDLES ALL OF THE OFF RESORT EXCURSIONS!!!!! REMEMBER YOU ARE IN A 3RD WORLD COUNTRY!!! MY HUSBAND AND I WAS WOKE COMPLETELY UP ON THIS TRIP! IF YOU DIVE NO Decompression chambers in Jamaica. N CHAMBERS!!!!!

A little overpriced for some of the tours but they have always been excellent, offer a good refund/exchange policy, and a variety of options for all tastes.

The price was just right and the shuttle service was a good call. I didn’t love how we only got to swim for roughly 10/15 mins. Another thing I thought should have been mentioned was the fact that there were jellyfish in the water. Not poisonous but still the stings hurt and I think people should know. Lastly,, they yell @ you stating that the flash from ur camera and or phone “doesn’t allow the glow to work” but really I just think that they want you to purchase the pictures that photographer takes,, he was using flash and the glow was showing just fine .. overall I think we would go again it was definitely an amazing sight to see !!

We went to Jamaica for my best friend Bachelorette party and did the Dunn’s fall and Catamaran . One of the best experience of our life, the staff, the Catamaran, everything was amazing. The Falls are beautiful. We have a great time. thank you.

Had a great experience using Island Routes to book our Jamaican vacation excursions. Overall we were very satisfied with the service and the experience. The only issue was that the email instructions didn't clearly state what to bring to each excursion, etc. I was able to get the information from the website but it would have made sense to include it on the email confirmation. Also, they didn't clearly state that we needed the actual print out. It worked out in the end but definitely frustrated the drivers to have to look at the confirmation on our phones. The actual excursions were fun and enjoyable. The website definitely gives a more impressive description than the actual experience. For example the horse ride and swim is just riding a horse on a short unimpressive trail and then literally going in the water with the horse and coming back out. It was great but I expected to actually be in the water for a few minutes. Similarly, the ATV ride was just an opportunity for them to put you on an ATV and take pictures of you that they then sell to you at an extra charge. The ride itself was not at all fun or exciting. These criticism are only of the actual excursion which Island Tours is not responsible for. As a tour company, I feel they did a great job overall.

Everything was organized and went smoothly with registration, transportation (to and from), and excursions. The wait for excursions was a little long but there are plenty of photo opportunities and things to do while you wait for your number to be called. Everyone was very professional and nice. Special shout-out to Paul, Andre, and Micheal from the ATV and horseback excursions for making our experiences one of a kind.

Island Routes was such fun experience. The catamaran to Dunn's River Falls will be a great memory that we always hold onto. We were well taken care of. The food and the party boat vibe after the hike were a ton of fun. Definitely book an excursion with Island Routes, it is well worth it!!

Never ever ever book with this company, unless you want your trip ruined. We booked a Power Boat Sail to Negril. It was supposed to be a wonderful day full of boating, snorkeling, seeing 7 mile beach, and a trip to Rick’s. Well, guess what happened? They canceled it. Two minutes before the excursion started. We were literally in the car on the way and they had to turn around. The employee could not have cared less about my disappointment, told me the manager is “off property” and offered absolutely nothing for our troubles. She said we would receive a refund and acted like it was a grand gesture, when it should have been a no brainer! Of course you are going to reimburse me for the $500 we spent on headache and disappointment. Today is our last day here, and the last minute cancellation has resulted in us not being able to book a different excursion. This company took what was an otherwise lovely trip and destroyed it.

The Helicopter Shuttle to the Sandals Grande was excellent. We used the Fast Track to zip from the plane to the helicopter, and quickly to the resort to begin another five-star Sandals vacation. As always, Island Routes provides excellent, friendly service for a reasonable price. We enjoy both the day cruise and sunset evening party cruise.

We did the Martha Brea experience in Jamaica, we made our reservations over the phone and we asked two different representatives if the excursion included a foot massage they both told us that it did. When we got to the excursion and asked about the massages we were told they don’t do massages. It was a beautiful experience but since we were lied to by the customer service representatives they get 3 stars.

We did a reggae catamaran sunset tour from Montego Bay. The boat is very nice but we were disappointed for a few reasons: 1. The boat was 30 mins late and rather than extending the tour we still came back on time so not the 3 hrs as advertised (2:30hrs total) 2. You spend 1hr of the tour at margaritaville a bar where you have to pay for drinks and during this time you can’t get the free drinks on board. Not sure on a 2.5 hr boat trip why you spent 1 hr at this average bar. Although the water inflatables were fun for 15 mins or so. Think you should shorten this 3. It is advertised as a reggae tour. They literally play zero reggae music - it’s super loud hip hop and r n b music for the trip. Think you could just make parts of this more relaxing particularly with the beautiful sunset 4. The driver picked us up super early so we could ‘go shopping’ on the way. This was just not needed we paid for a boat tour not a shopping trip, meaning we had to just to wait around for an hour for the boat. All in all we had fun and drank a lot (the rum punch is lethal but great) but just needs a rethink to be better.

Fun excursion. We were picked up timely, they were swift with the introduction and instruction. They promptly got us situated with our horses and headed out to the beach. There we found a bar with a bathroom. There were vendors with souvenirs for sale. Once to the beach, the horses were stripped of gear and the guides took four people at a time out into the water with the horses. This was fine, but overall the experience was not as expected. Based on images, I actually thought we were going to ride the horses through the water ourselves, not guided by a guide.

We did the family cruise to Dunn's River with snorkeling before. We had a great time! The boat was ready and crew was efficient and kind. The amount of people was perfect. The snorkeling equipment was clean and in great condition. Food was delicious and drinks great. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience using Island Routes to plan and book our excursions in Barbados. We were staying at the Sandals resort for two weeks so these excursions were the perfect way to explore the island and do something other than sitting on the beach or at the pool every day. Island Routes has an incredible variety of excursions that allowed us to take in the amazing views of the island as well as challenge ourselves on bike tours, hikes, and kayaks. Luckily, we were able to interact with individuals working at Island Routes at our hotel through their desk. We had the absolutely pleasure of working with Lakesha Lewis for all of our excursions. She was always greeting us with a smiling face and able to answer any questions that we had. Working with her made our experience flawless!

We took the Bob Marley tour through Sandals Ochi and it was the worst part of our vacation. As a former Rastafarian, Bob Marley holds a very special place in my life and heart. I think he'd roll over in his grave to see what a money grab this place is. Our tour guide kept reiterating that it was a "sign of respect" for the others on our tour to buy and consume ganja while doing the tour. This wasn't true, but was said because she was getting a kickback from the guy selling what looked to be inferior ganja at exorbitant prices to the tourists. We entered the premises and were told we had to buy a candle for $1. We did so I commented to my husband, "They probably sell these and reuse them once we're done with them." Sure enough, later on the in tour we saw a guide gathering them from the mausoleum. We were corralled into a bar where the bartender berated us for not buying enough drinks. The tour was more of Cedella Booker's life than Bob's as we saw and heard more about his mother (not a bad thing) than him. The memorabilia that adorned the walls was more collections from fans than from Bob Marley. We were held hostage while a ragtag band played Bob's songs out of tune and off key while we sat in a sweltering courtyard where they tried to sell us more stuff and pressure us to tip the "band." Of course when the tour was over we had to tip the guide, the bus guide, and the bus driver. Just bring a good deal of money for tips is all. I considered this to be a personal pilgrimage to the site of someone I respected and followed for most of my life. I was ashamed that Bob Marley's legacy was attached to such a money grab.

I would like to commend the Island Routes Caribbean Cruisin' Captain and 1st Mate LB for being tremendous host for both the adults and kids. We took our family of 11 (including grandkids from ages 4 to 10 and they had a great time. Snorkeling at the reef was very cool as well as checking out the Iguanas on an separate isle. They provide beverages (both adult and children) as well as snacks!

Had an amazing experience with Captin Sydelle and First Mate Akiem! We did the Powerboat excursion in Montego Bay, Jamaica. It included snorkeling, lunch at Margaritaville, and a tour along the island. Lunch was just ok, nothing special. However, the snorkeling and the boat ride was well worth it!

Island Routes Sunset Cruise St. John's Antigua, Mystic II with Captain Brandon, Chadwick and Crew. They were amazing, fun, professional and courtesy. The sunset cruise was beautiful and informative. Captain Brandon educated us to history of Antigua. The island is one that we look forward to visiting again. The sunset cruise is one activity you should not miss.

My wife and I traveled to Sandals Barbados. We booked two excursions with Island Routes. We booked the Historical Rum Tour and the Historical Abbey and Garden Tour (not listed on the Island Routes website). They sound very different, right? Well, after the rum tour, we realized we did everything that we were set to do on the abbey and garden tour, plus the train ride at the abbey. After returning to the resort, we were told that it was too late to cancel the abbey and garden tour since it was 2 days away. I reached out to customer service who also told me they wouldn't refund the money spent on the Abbey and Garden Tour because "the tours you have booked on-property are distinct and therefore do not encompass the same activities." This was incorrect but they wouldn't budge. Book at your own risk. Once you sign the contract, you won't receive a refund if anything happens. We aren't satisfied and won't book through them on any future trips.

My husband and I did the jeep and zip line excursion with Wendell! We ended up being the only couple because everyone else canceled. Wendell decided to do the excursion regardless and we are so thankful. It was really fun to ride around and see the all the sights in the jeep. He even let me play music on the speaker! After the jeep ride, we went to the zip line and had a great time as it was just us two! The zip line instructors were funny and it was definitely a good workout. We some lunch at the zip line location which was good. After that Wendell took us to a local waterfall to swim and take pictures. On the way back from the waterfall he stopped to show us and try some local fruits including starfruit, passion fruit, lemons, and cinnamon. He also stopped at a nice overlook and took pictures for us. We loved seeing all that Saint Lucia had to offer and meeting some great locals! Overall, Wendell went above and beyond to show us his beautiful country. He was so friendly and you can tell he really cares about his guests. We had some great conversations with him throughout the day and learned a lot! Thank you Wendell for making it a great trip for us.

Went on a catamaran cruise, snorkeling and to Dunn's river falls. Had to wait in the sweltering sun waiting for others to show up that were late. The only other complaint was we had to take shoes off and the dock and catamaran were smoking hot on the feet!!! We did not get to try lunch or drinks due to walking down on the hot deck hurt our feet too much and it was way too loud to sit down there where the food was.... on a positive note, the crew were super nice and friendly!!

We had our share of problems there, but I must say overall the vacation was wonderful. I wouldn't suggest the private departure because the property is so close to the airport. Getting the arrival is ok if you would like to get the experience but you can save on that as well. Barbados is beautiful but more but on the relaxing side than the party side. So, what I'm saying, if you're a party going person then this property isn't the one for you. Don't get me wrong Sandals is Sandals. The service can use some upgrade. This one I can mark off the book of visiting. I will always do Sandals all-inclusive. On to the next place. Thank you, Sandals, for your help and a wonderful vacation.

Last weekend I had the pink sands and pink beach excursion in Nassau, Bahamas with Island Routes. It started off wrong when I was supposed to be picked up at 7:30am but I was called by 7:10am saying the driver was already here. Good thing my family and I were already ready to head down. All was well until the driver left us at the said location and didn't give us any instructions on where to wait because no one was there yet since it was still early. I tried calling all numbers they provided and none of them went through. We walked around that area trying to find the sign for Island Routes and could not locate it anywhere. Turns out they are a third party. No where on the invoice, website, or emails received by them does it mention the actual company giving this excursion. We were left in the dark. Eventually people started arriving and lining up for a tour happening at 8am and so I went to ask that said company Born Free Powerboat tours and it was with them and she explained to me that this is their tour. So I went on the tour with my family and it seemed great, I enjoyed it but we got back 30 minutes later because on the way back the waves were very choppy so the driver wasn't able to go as fast to return by 4pm. We were supposed to be returned back to our hotel but no one showed up. We waited for about 20 minutes until we decided to take our own taxi back to our hotel. We had to pay $40usd. I emailed the company as that was the only form to contact them and told them about this situation and sent screenshots of my phone history showing that I tried calling them. They respond saying that the driver did show up. If they did and saw no one was exiting, they should've either contacted Born Free Powerboat tours why we weren't outside yet, or called me, or maybe waited more until they saw people exit. Island Routes should not sell you something if they don't communicate with the company's tour they sell because in situations like this, the client is left in the dark. This was out of my control to be returned by a certain time. They should've been responsible for my taxi refund. After they told me this, they said they will not refund me and that was that. I told them why they didn't do any of the above and they have not responded since. It shows a lot about their character when they only want to take your money but don't try to amend the error that occurred from not being in contact with Born Free Powerboat tours. So that's the only reason I came on here so other people can beware that this may happen to you!

I read reviews on this company before booking with them, so I felt good with the choice. I'm sure we would have had a good experience, if we were able to use them. I booked with them for a tour, but when I emailed to confirm, they could not confirm us due to there not being any other groups booked except for us. So we made the decision to cancel and go with a private transfer for our tour, to ensure that we would not miss the opportunity to go. KaceyAnn, the Island routes Representative that I spoke with on the phone was very pleasant and professional, my refund was processed in a timely manner. I would recommend them, and if we were to book with them in the future, we will make sure to book a more popular tour so that we don't have to cancel.

Booked a round trip from montago bay to negril. Ride from montago bay was good and fine, however, when it was our departure day and time from negril to the airport on sunday 11:30am which was confirmed the after we arrived, no driver , no transportation and no one even answer the phone. This is horrible and unnecessary stress of not knowing what's going to happen and if your ride will on time to catch your flight back. Ended up calling another taxi just to make it to our flight and not waste waiting for the unknown with island route. Will never make this mistake again. Use amstar if u looking to book anything, excursions or transportation.

Poor communication. After booking this activity through Expedia there was no confirmation until I called the day of the activity and was told that the trip to luminous lagoon is cancelled as there was no other interested party to go. Could have emailed / called / notified us before so we had time to change out plans.

Unlike Enterprise, they will not pick you up. We waited for them to pick us up and they never showed up. After getting ahold of them they said made a mistake and even though they confirmed the outing, it wasn't confirmed. They said they tried to call and contact us through the resort but we haven't had any phone problems and the resort knows nothing about this. Further, they didn't bother to email which is how we had communicated successful previously. They offered to rebook or refund. We elected the refund and were informed it would be 10-14 business days before they would receive it. Two to three weeks is unacceptable to refund money when the screw up was on the vendor.

This is the best party boat ever! I live in Miami and it definitely lives up to its name. You will not regret this tour if you want to have a great time. The crew is amazing! This is a very interactive tour. I highly recommend it.

👍👍 This was a great experience and my tour guide Anissa was awesome. She was so friendly and welcoming. I did the ATV, siplining and climbing the Dunn’s river falls. It was a long day, bring water and make sure you rest before if you’re not very active. Only suggestion to Chukka is to not ask for a tip...

Our drivers were on time at every stop we got picked up from and they were very knowledgeable about Montego Bay and it’s Parishes. I would definitely book with Major 1 Tours again m...

The driver and the assistant showed up 30min late- like it was no big deal. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Book o...
