PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! who ever is giving this resort a 5 star rating, needs to tell me if we stayed at the same resort? This resort is far from that. If I could rate it a zero ......I would. This resort was supposed to be a 5 star experience for my husband who has just had a 2 year battle with cancer. We were hoping he could rest, relax and recharge, but instead it was a night mare for him, and the rest of the family. It was my understanding this was a family resort, instead it turned out to be a war zone, especially if you are traveling with small children. They only told us that the water parks would be down during our stay as they were doing upgrades. Little did we know there was ongoing construction on both sides of the hotel..... never ending ringing of a faulty fire alarm ....and loud music until 1:00 AM every night. The rooms have cockroaches, mildew, dated furniture, flooding sinks, and a musty smell. The phones don't work and the air conditioning was having issues. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. There was limited food options. Could not get a mango and sometimes a banana. ( there was so much more) Your forced to eat Al la cart almost every night because the Buffet was closed. (they were using it for 2 of the Al la carts) The bars were limited when it came to Alcohol options. There was no sports bar, so between the loud music being played in the open Martini bar .... construction and faulty alarm, you were not getting a good nights rest. They refused to make my 2 year old grand daughter a bowl of oatmeal, but instead told my daughter she could make it herself. The pool was NOT cleaned in the 7 days we were there. I could go on and on and on. Some of the employees were so amazing, but some should consider getting out of the service industry. This was a trip that we all looking so forward to, but instead it turned out to be a HUGE disappointment.

This hotel was not worth the money I paid thank God I only had to stay one night after my flight got canceled . The room I stayed in smelled like mildew, the kids pool area had mildew in the drainage that was visible , the food was terrible, they were short staffed . There was one guy that worked there that truly did his best with the multiple restaurants they have ,but one person can’t do it all . I definitely want be back . I was told that this hotel was under new management . I would say it looks nice on the pictures and it really is nice hotel on the exterior some maintenance around the kids pool will bring the outside up to par , but food and the hotel rooms are both terrible. I recommend not wasting your time coming to this hotel .

Worst vacation I've ever been on. We have few amenities available and package deductions were not disclosed before payment in full. No children's program is open. No hydrotherapy circuit. No security lock/working sinks/hot water in first room. No alcohol in either Diamond Club room. This was my first visit to a Royalton Resort and we have no plans to return. Avoid this brand!!!!!

Staff was great, they're the best part of it. Rooms were poor, phone was broken, mini bar is 2 cans of beer and sodas. Room service is a joke - breakfast consisted of bacon/ sausage / eggs / toast and fruit. No variation, no choices for food allergies. Wait time was typically over 60 minutes. Room was fairly clean. Coffee shops / restaurants were sold out of staples every time we turned around. Jerk chicken place was out of chicken, etc. The restaurants were pretty decent, but wait time was typically 60 minutes plus. They did a good job of making the place feel bigger than it is. Bar is only open until 11. Excursions weren't worth the money. Felt like you were chasing your tail the entire time, like they could delay you having access so they could slow down consumption. Everything was broken. Everything was exaggerated to the point of lying. I felt bad for the bride and grooms that were booking this place site unseen.

Our stay at The Royalton Blue Waters left much to be desired. From the moment we arrived, we faced several significant issues that impacted our overall experience. Firstly, we were disappointed to discover that we paid a premium price for accommodations, but only half the resort was accessible due to renovations, limiting our options significantly. Reservation confusion was a persistent problem, despite our efforts to secure rooms well in advance. Many in our group of 32 people had to endure lengthy waits before gaining access to their rooms, often finding that their assigned rooms didn't match their reservations – a source of considerable stress and frustration. Room conditions were another source of disappointment, with various problems like malfunctioning air conditioning and bathroom issues in several of our rooms, a far cry from what we expected given the premium rates we paid. Service at the resort left much to be desired; basic requests, such as room service or amenities replenishment, were met with delays, indifference, or sometimes ignored completely. The wedding arrangements were not executed as agreed upon, causing disruptions to our bride and grooms special day. In addition, we experienced frequent disruptions from fire alarms and construction noise from the other half of the resort, significantly impacting our ability to relax. What was most alarming was the apparent decline of the resort during our stay due to an unannounced layoff/shutdown for the staff and resort following our leave . Sanitation and food options dwindled, staff responsiveness declined, and essential services like A/C and water were cut off in all rooms. Most importantly the safety of a 9-year-old girl in our group was also compromised with no appropriate response from the hotel staff. We hope that the resort takes immediate action to address these concerns, but to date have done nothing but issue a blanket apology. Our wish is that these issues are resolved to ensure a better experience for future guests.

I rarely have anything negative to say about a resort in Jamaica. I have visited a few and always find myself wanting to return. I honestly don’t know where to start. It has been an absolute nightmare! From the check in process to the rooms and the restaurants it has left me feeling very disappointed and disgusted! Management there is not helpful at all instead they try and put a bandaid on it or hide from you. The rooms are nicely executed but very dated! Nothing works! No hot water, phone is broken, the refrigerated items were warm. I never anticipated that on my vacation I would be dealing with issue after issue instead of enjoying myself. It literally was every day since I arrived. The restaurants service was less than desirable and the food was even worst. On a good note definitely try the jerk restaurant on the beach it was delicious. For an all exclusive experience it was so not worth the money! Seafood choices were at a bare minimum and if you wanted to eat seafood it was an additional cost. The beach area is very nice and intimate which I loved. All in all I will never return here! I do plan to blog about this experience! I feel like as a tourist that drops money to come to an establishment there should have been more effort made to address my issues and make sure my stay was pleasant. Guest relations is suppose to handle complaints however they have an attitude when things are brought to their attention. The woman that works the desk during the day is the rudest individual in the whole establishment. They were very inattentive and totally unreceptive to the issues that I encountered. If you are offered the Diamond Club experience don’t do it! An absolutely mockery of what an elite experience should feel like!

For all of the money we paid, I thought the rooms would be a little nicer. The paint was coming off the walls on our balcony, our shower leaked water onto the floor (they fixed it but it was a big “to do”) and the bathrooms are really tight. They told us we had an ocean view but it wasn’t. When you called to ask for things the staff was obviously annoyed. We did hear worker’s doing renovations while we slept, and we had several guests from our party complain or change their room. The pool and restaurants were nice, however. The food was pretty good. And I did like the access to the private beach. The night time entertainment was fun as well. I wouldn’t recommend this resort if you are staying for a long period of time. My husband and I said we wouldn’t book here again.

We came to Jamaica to attend a wedding and wanted to stay close to the venue using our Marriott points. The other goal was to bring a friend who had never vacationed outside the U.S. We wanted her to experience a quality vacation similar to those we have enjoyed over the years. Based on reviews we read before booking, we vowed to keep our expectations low. Even then, this hotel was simply not for us. Food and beverages were the biggest downfall by far. Clearly, both were the most obvious focal point of corporate cost-cutting at this site. Most of the time, we smiled and took one or two bites at each meal just to be polite to the servers. We purchased the dinner upgrade once but did not repeat due to poor results. Any liquor, beer on tap, and even Prosecco was watered down and unrecognizable to taste. We don't drink much but a nice cocktail here and there would have been fun. This was likely a polished hotel in the past, but has fallen into a deep state of disrepair. Elevators, TVs, phones, bathtubs, fire alarms, patio screens, safes, sliding doors, furniture, etc. all had issues needing attention. Because the location is so far from any township, we felt a bit like prisoners. Nothing is remotely nearby. The drivers know the onsite patrons are captives. A $280 cab ride allowed us to get away on our last day to enjoy an amazing meal at Peppa's in Montego Bay and visit some local shops along the way. Half the resort is closed while the neighboring affiliate property undergoes construction. That also means half the restaurants touted on the website are not in service. We survived on eggs for breakfast and chicken fingers for lunch. On the upside, it was clean. I believe all the rooms faced the ocean. The beach is pretty. Quite a few of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. If you like sugary pretend cocktails and fried food for kids, you'll be happy here. Maybe if we were young, or just didn't know any better, our visit might have left us feeling differently. We would never recommend this hotel. #MarriottInternational #HotelRoyaltonBlueWaters

Bad employee service Ignore guests Loud talking in hallways Fire alarm goes off randomly early in morning and late at night Phone does not work AC, barely works Property is need of maintenance Restaurants constant out of items Certain bars don’t have blenders and your told to go get drinks elsewhere Service overall terrible Had to ask for pool to be cleaned for swim up pool Pool mats ripped No waiters around pool Tipping is mandatory at every area to get food service At pool 3 days and never once offered a drink or food. Had to get everything Not worth it Beautiful property but needs way better service and management

I traveled with my Daughter and two small Grandchildren. The rooms were small but very clean. The staff total resort were extremely friendly and asked multiple times if we needed anything. Our Butler, Lacy, was the most professional and friendly than I have ever met. I have traveled to many different islands and have stayed at many different resort's. She went above and beyond to make us comfortable and welcomed. Both of my Grandchildren celebrated their birthday's while we were at White Sands and Lacy made sure that they were not forgotten. The food was top notch and plentiful. The kids pool and slides were extremely well maintained and that for me was the best part of our vacation. Seeing my Grandchildren having the time if their lives! The beach was beautiful and well maintained. Unfortunately we will never be able to return to White Sands because it will be converted to an adult only resort next year. What a shame!

I have stayed at Marriot properties all over the world and this hotel just does not hold the same standards. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever been to and in a way that’s almost comical. From the moment you get here the staff is abrasive and everyone has a mood as if they really don’t want to be here or be talking to you. You have to make reservations daily for diner at a table in the middle of the resort by 11 or your options are gone and when they assure you that they have plenty of room for walk in tables, that can mean a 3 hour wait. I also didn’t think “All Inclusive” would include so little. The food quality at ever restaurant is bad. Nobody knows how to make a proper cocktail so wine is really the way to go but if you want anything as good as Meomi it’s $65 extra a bottle, The gift shop sells sunscreen for $35 and you really need the butler service to get into places and it is the only way to have booze brought to your room so very quickly you can be paying almost $800 a night for a place that is just not worth that. The distance from anything else makes the place more like and expensive prison. Do not stay here!

this hotel is awesome I have stayed there 3 times, once before thy expanded and I never had a complaint. Its worth every dollar. from check-in to check out!! spent my anniversary there...they had surprised us with a anniversary banner on door, champagne and a mini cake in room. each room comes with a well stocked bar, best of all room service, if you do not want to get out of bed, if you don't want to go in any restaurants for whatever reasons. They got you covered! its good to make reservations ahead if you want to dine la catre in any of the 5 restaurants there. the buffet is excellent, the food never fails! the bartenders all at every bar gives great service. the ocean very therapeutic. book a massage, you wont regret it at all and the nightly entertainment just as great. love love this place

Beautiful resort, disregard the negative comments, this resort has gone a full renovation. The grounds were immaculate, a perfect oasis the beach was very intimate, and private plenty of lawn chairs and shaded areas. Food was great, no need to make a reservations for the À la carte, lobby bar had the best service, especially Lisa always served with a smile and a great chat. The entertainment staff did their best to get people involved with the games and evening shows but the best was the sports bar hangout. We will definitely be back.

As one other person mentioned it is alarming to see so many reviews for a resort that as of Sept 2023 has not even opened yet. I keep seeing reviews of the white sands resort which is not helpful at all in this situation. My rating is to offset comments previously made incorrectly to this resort. Please pay attention to which location you are giving reviews.

Hey, I recently stayed at Royalton white sands in Montego Bay 09/21-09/25. We had the family suit with the jacuzzi and ocean view. The jacuzzi didn’t work and the maintenance guy said “we turned the water off due to not knowing where a leak in bathroom is coming from”. The room pictures online and the hotel in person is false advertisement. We up graded are basic room just to have a jacuzzi and ocean view. The ocean view is not an ocean view at all. It’s blocked off by another building! The pull-out couch had a long rip in it(have photo proof). The ceiling in front of the door by the bathroom was leaking Water as well(picture proof also). It took us 3 hours to check in due to it only being two women in the front and everyone kept coming down to complain about their room. Asked could I be moved to another room and I was told “all rooms was filled” which I doubt it. The resort wasn’t that busy for all the rooms to be occupied…. The restaurants was amazing and the staff did a fabulous job. The restaurant’s and outdoors places on the The Resort doesn’t match the rooms at all. Outside is a 5 star and the rooms are a 2. Massages was top tier and worth every penny.

The check in process was a mess! The front desk staff though courteous, seemed to be on go slow. Waited just about 40 mins to be attended to. The "luxury" room was far from. Very small, washrooms similarly were matchbox size. Empty room bar on the day of arrival. Iron board without iron, no washcloths. We requested these items, and received them 24 hrs after, and they were not replenished when housekeeping serviced the room. Called for room service, was told it would take at least an hour due to back log......they didn't bother to show up after confirmation. Select drinks were for select guests though posted in common areas. That was unpleasant to hear after ordering, no option given to purchase. The property was average, lovely swimming pools, decent coffee shop/cafe. Entertainment was good when offered. The meals were hands down the best part of this trip with a good variety on the buffet line. Definitely didn't live up to it's name, there was nothing royal about this stay. It was my first visit and most certainly the last.

Great resort, the grounds are beautifully kept and the layout of the resort is easy to navigate. I believe, and this is my opinion, that the resort is operating at a capacity higher than the staff can manage at this time. I understanding, the world is Re-emerging and finding balance can be difficult. Besides that, solid 3.5, I feel I got what I paid for. The vibes team kept every day entertaining and I really enjoyed my time here.

It seems today when you go on a vacation it's only a financial transaction. They forget to tell you the adult only resort is at dinner time to have plenty of screaming kids. The service for dinner if you have a food allergy is the menu says they can do it but when you order the food oops you better make arrangements for them to order the food for tomorrow. So we arrive the next day as the resort noted but the fingers all point back at you oops they forgot even though you gave a room number for identification. The final blow was the bugs on the ceiling so we reported and the staff sprayed. Next day bugs were in the bed. The blamed US for opening the balcony door. Sorry Royalton and Sunwing this sucks and is a very substandard job and response to customer service.

Arrived today and we already regret it. And we have a week here. Watered down drinks. Incredibly slow service. Serving no Jamaican beer. Tiny rooms with several malfunctions within our 4 room party. Took an incredible amount of time to check in. At the Italian restaurant this evening and waiting ages and ages and ages for our food to slowly trickle out. It is a mixed bag. One pizza was really good, and another was horrible. But my biggest issue is the place this is not an adults only resort. Kids are everywhere! They are seemingly allowed in every restaurant. And the family resort is basically part of this resort. That alone means I would never come back here. Going to make the best of it for the week but I don’t know how this vacation will get salvaged. I don’t get the impression anyone cares. We emailed the resort multiple times prior to arrival, and still waiting for a response. Really hoping for something to dramatically turn around tomorrow.

We had 6 night stay in the 1st week of March. Beach is pretty good. Pools are big and clean. Wide variety of options for food. Easy to kid healthy and tasty. We were supposed to have "luxury" room. But instead it was very basic and warn out. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Horrible service. Tamieka the assistant manager was horrible!!! She doesn’t know how to do her job at all. They gave us 4 room keys and none of them worked so we were locked out of our room all day! Didn’t want to transfer me to a manager! Stay away!!!!! They are very unorganized and unprofessional!!!!! They have no clue with what’s going on. Go somewhere else!!!

The Royalton Blue Waters was everything. The cleanliness of the hotel and friendliness of the staff was a 10/10. The food is delicious and the grounds are well maintained. It’s not too far from the airport either. The beach is amazing, the water was very warm. I will definitely go back there again.

We had bought an inclusive day pass for when we were at Port in Falmouth Jamaica during our cruise. Beautiful clean beach area and turquoise blue water. Plenty of chairs and shade available. Security on the beach kept vendors to a minimum. We felt safe with our personal items in our bags under towels and such that we all swam at the same time. Our choice of the included lunch was the beach BBQ of jerk chicken and pork with a side of greens and a bread they called festival. The food was tasty and plentiful. The all inclusive bar was well staffed and well stocked. We ordered our all inclusive drinks through a beach waitress. Let's just say we had more drinks at the table than we could drink. My suggestions to anyone going to an all inclusive beach break is to tip well at the beginning. Security staff made sure our personal items were safe, the waitress kept our drinks coming and the food staff made sure we were first and the best choice. Tipping $5 to $10 is a lot for them so they make sure to look after you.

I wish there was a rating below 1. This hotel was great when it just opened years ago but the evidence of poor upkeep and low maintenance is everywhere. We visited in October 2022. Royalton needs a complete renovation. Rooms smell moldy and musty. A family member of mine had no electricity in their room, baseboard was missing, and unclean corridors/walkways. The restaurant staff was more respectful, courteous and professional than the front desk clerks & management. The front desk manager refused to come out and talk to my family after they crammed 3 adults in 1 room with 1 bed. They had to change 3 rooms in 3 days. The last room was double booked somehow and a porter walked in on my family with a completely different set of guests when they were in the shower. Not to mention, they were booked as Ocean View Luxury "Diamond Club" (which was worse than booking as a regular guest in our experience). The list goes on and on. This was definitely my last stay at this hotel (Whitesands & Blue Waters). We had 25 family members there in October 2022 and they all share the same sentiments. Definitely not worth the money.

Pleasant experience. Rooms are nice but smaller than what I'm accustomed to. Had a good experience at the Italian Restaurant with Keron our server. Food is good through out. Need better sound for nightly entertainment. One box outdoor was not good enough for a show. The performance was excellent but the audio took away from it. Loved the quality coffee and treats at the Cafe. Seemed good for kids in terms of activities. Would return.

    1. Arrived around 3pm got no directions and front desk assistance was sparse. Bride and groom arrived 2 hrs before me. My room was ready they had to wait 2+ Additional hrs for their room. 2. Unbeknownst to us our room offers a full sz and a twin bed (both very uncomfortable) with no working rm phone, very loud a/c unit and unable to close bathroom door. 3. Upon arrival Not enough food or places would be closed. Had to eat scraps from the Jerk Hut. 4. NO water for almost 24hrs! Unable to wash and flush! The problem began around 7:30am Monday. We got cold water around 6am the next day. 5. Poor communication/no communication from staff! No notice given to costumers. 6. Front desk management is rude and a liar! (He turned his back and walked away when questioned.) 7. A front desk staff gave a gentleman 4 bottle of water and suggested that he use them to bathe! Woman explained the resort policy is no swimwear in restaurants but there no place to shower after being out on the beach. 8. After finally getting the managers attention, my cousin and I was offering to shower at Blue Water Hospitality Suite. This area was being used like a hostile community shower with no staff to sanitize the area. 9. Stray dogs and cats running up on you while on their private beach for food. 11. Wedding coordinator became sick (understandable/pray all is well) but there was no backup. Had to push to get help. 12. They had audacity to offered welcome party additional 30 minutes as if they where doing a favor. Some guest either couldn’t make it due to not being able to shower or like me show up with soap on. 13. A party member paid for the butler experience and never saw a butler/got the experience! 14. BREAKFAST, my favorite meal of the day was delicious, although I am 3 days in and dealing with severe upset stomach. But breakfast is hands down the best thing here along with most of the staff. All that in the first 2 days. Praying things get better! We leave Thursday morning and as a travel agent I will NEVER return or recommend.

I'm really enjoying this resort. It's very clean and well maintained. Cleaning and maintenance looks as if it's being doing 24 hours a day. There's multiple pools along with kid pools. Many different restaurants with different cultures of food. Entertainment for the guests goes on daily throughout the day. I'm looking forward to my spa appointment and my sunset dinner on beach. The only issue I have is the prices at the gift shop. It was $15 for a bag of Ruffle potato chips, but I guess that's just gift shops prices 🤷🏾‍♂️

I am not sure where to begin, from canceling one our rooms very poor maintenance of the hotel. There were always excuses and no real attempt at making anything better than well below average. If your trip is already booked and you’re planning to go ahead and stay here, the only thing I would recommend is getting the butler service because it is the only kind of service you will receive while you are here. The food in the restaurant was just OK the Zen restaurant was by far the best, and the only place that we would consider returning to.. The beach is nice….

Customer Service, Ambience, Food were all good. The rooms though needs upgrading and maintaining. I had to change rooms twice because of roaches in one room (which was on the first floor and smelt like it was near the sewerage/ waste water treatment area - bad idea) and the A/C was not cooling in the second room. The staff went all out to ensure we were eventually satisfied with a room and at the restaurants and general dining area staff were very warm, friendly and helpful. If it were on service alone I would give 5 stars but the facility brought it down. Special mention to Bianca, Antoinette at front desk!

My hubby and I spent my birthday here. We had an amazing time, the service was excellent, the food was good, the entertainment was excellent. My birthday dinner at the Zen restaurant was most memorable. The property was like being in paradise. Overall the stay was amazing. My complaints are the room, the bathroom seem a bit run down. The water pressure was low and the walls needed painting. Also, we couldn't get towels. You'd have to go very early to get. I didn't like that men were just wondering on the beach selling. But overall, I'd definitely go back.

Let me start off by saying the rooms really need updating but they are clean. The experience is top notch from the bellman too the diamond club check in staff, housekeeping and all other staff every one spoke, went out of their way too so that you can relax and enjoy yourself. But my total praise goes too the Zen restaurant on the property with the wonderful singing staff too our lovely chef and last but not least our amazing butler Lacey Ann . Thank you Royalton for making my husband and I 1st Anniversary trip such a wonderful experience in Jamaica 🇯🇲. It truly is one love !!!! Yeah man lol

The staff and food were both good. However, that is where the positive part of my review ends. Separate and apart from the booking mixup ( which the staff were kind enough to help us rectify to the extent possible) our room was downright disappointing. Nothing worked. The television did not work for two days (claimed to be a provider issue). It took multiple tries to even get room service on the phone. The faucet in the bathroom was broken, there was a leak between the shower and the wall, meaning the bathroom was wet the entire stay. The sliding door in our balcony was also broken, opening and closing was difficult and there was never a good seal. The protective railing on the balcony was not secured, and shook every time you touched it, which didn’t inspire much confidence when out trying to enjoy the sun. Restaurant wait times were absolutely untenable. Luckily, the buffet was good quality. Overall, while the grounds were nice, and the staff helpful, the maintenance and logistics left a lot to be desired and barring any major changes to the rooms I wouldn’t recommend this for any extended stay.

Grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Staff is beyond friendly and accommodating. Food was fantastic, restaurants and buffet. I'm not a buffet sort of gal but always left happy that there was a lot of healthy options and so much choice. The rooms were a perfect size as I don't need a big room because I don't spend much time in it. Air conditioning was on point and the Rooms were very clean. Housekeeping was very attentive and so were the concierge filling our fridge with bottled water and beers, etc. We had 11 family member's with us and we all felt that this resort ticked all the boxes. Joyce was the best at the Martini bar, she was so sweet and attentive to our family. Nasheilia made sure we had everything we needed for our room, always the most wonderful smile. The drinks weren't overly strong but I prefer that over passing out in the sun mid afternoon lol. You can always ask for a boozier cocktail, they will accommodate your requests. All in all I highly recommend this resort. I would go back.

Bugs everywhere. Walking to my room on the top floor at night bugs would cover the ground once the lights came on. As soon as you open your door all the bugs come into your room. We asked for an upgraded room at the other property the Blue Waters. The group we came with all got upgrades except for us. The food was amazing! some of the best food I've ever had at an all inclusive. We were diamond club so it came with certain perks. The rooms itself are pretty basic room way overpriced by 3x the amount. Mini bar was not always restocked as it should have been. The phone in some of the rooms did not work. We had a total of 4 rooms reserved.

The rooms are designed lovely however could use some renovation. Our room was smelling rather moulding up on checking in to which we had to call room service to get it refreshed. We were too tired to consider changing rooms...Also, our mini bar was missing a few items and had a half drunken sprite in it, still waiting on it to be restocked as the bell man had promised upon discovering it to send someone! And, our tub wasn't working, wasn't able to drain. As for the general hotel, it's picturesque and has multiple pools. Apparently half the hotel was closed for renovations when we were there which kinda impacted enjoyment of the stay since all resturants were available for dining. The food is ok. I believe the staff needs more training were customer service is concerned as they aren't very friendly and welcoming. Compared to the Hilton Rosehall, they are subpar when comparing customer service and meal quality.

As nice as the resort is, the people are nicer. We never heard "no," not that we had any crazy requests. Everyone was nice and constantly made it their point to make sure we were okay. Our butlers, Leo and Sash, were *chef's kiss*. They made themselves available daily and were very quick to respond to requests. We will absolutely be back to Jamaica and even if we vacation elsewhere, we will stay at a Royalton resort if possible.

Visited Dec 16-21, 2023. Nice experience, rooms were clean and food was good. However, there were lots of things not working like the whirlpool and amenities in the spa ( steam, room, whirlpool nor sauna worked) yet they charged full prices for a massage. The service from a number of staff was excellent - First Tomeka serving on the beach was very courteous and attentive. She made great recommendations and was friendly and nice. Secondly, Tequila at the outside bar near the lobby was super and made you smile no matter what. Lastly, our room attendant Suzanne was very through and super accommodating. Overall it was a good trip. I have one recommendation that I think would have made it even better. Good music being played throughout the day would help it seem more lively. Hire a good DJ and not staff to play the music. The music wasn't constant and seem to start and stop a lot which was a little annoying. It seemed somewhat boring at times. Music is a minor detail yet very important when it comes to having a good time. Also the all adult offerings need to be more fun.

Stay was okay. Left a day early without a refund because it wasn't that great. Facts: You will be hungry unless you eat at the buffet everytime it's open. Very hard to find food during the day unless you go to the buffet. 45min from Montego bay. 3 nice pools and beautiful beach area. Beautiful Very clear and clean water. Food was mediocre at best. Fish restaurant was terrible. Only go to the buffet right when it opens. Room service offers 3 things. And takes hr and half if you actually get your food. Rooms are small. After 6 it's dead. The children's side seemed way more active at night which is crazy since music and dancing should be a thing for adults. Mini bar consists of, coca-cola, apple juice, sprite and light beer. No microwave in the room. Check in, room service and sit down service takes a very very very long time. Staff is nice, but service can be a bit better. There is 1 towel hut super far away from the beach and it's very unclear when restaurants are open and closed. Jerk hut chicken is best place for lunch. But don't expect it to be open before 1:30. Not even sure if the sports bar is open - don't think it is.

Oh I forgot to mention even the sliding door for our room was falling apart. We had notice it and called it in someone came and fix it. If the company was charging us so much money for great services and upgrades, updated rooms and hotel facilities I would say it was worthwhile but the PRICES they are charging for this treatment and nothing Royal! I thought the name Royalton will have a good influence on all the guests making them feel happier, comfortable and royal but nope! The price to use hotel water-sport is outrageous too and even the spa prices is overpriced! I wasn’t gonna get my room because I didn’t have husband on the reservation because when I booked it’s ask for the main person for the reservation and that was me when I got there it was something else. Main person already at a high rates ($$$$) + additional when I got there! Or else they would not give the room… For all that cheap cheap service and I we all had to pay expensive for… Until I agreed to pay the money we weren’t getting the room which was full of repairs that needed to be done. Hopefully problem will resolve soon. And the hotel will hired more staffs to work. Teach them to serve and be more professional and polite! The bride were crying because of lack of service and the groom was stressed and unhappy which was not right. I will spend less elsewhere and enjoy! Also resort can think of putting up a casino too that would be nice and entertaining for the elder folks.
