Great playground! Has a gate and it says it doesn't open until 10. They opened the gate around 9:15. You can tell the playground is older and still a lot of fun. It is well taken care of, there were people in there fixing things before they opened the gates.

My kids, 7,5,&3, love coming to this park. It has a little bit of everything and clean restrooms! There is a rock climbing wall, a suspension bridge , water fountain, various things to climb on, a boat/water play area for smaller kiddos, two very large play structures, a roller slide, a small hedge maze with a lookout tower, and this rotating/spinning play structure that is like a crazy and modern take on a merry-go-round. There are also a few swings. Beyond the playground itself, there is a small pond with paddle boats for rental, picnic tables, and a small skate park. The entire playground area is fenced with only 1 gate for entrance and exit. This definitely helps ease anxiety for those with a runner or multiple kids since it helps to keep them contained. Majority of the play area is covered with mulch with the exception being some of the areas around the actual play structures and slides. Mainly the areas where a more traumatic fall would occur, there is the rubbery, flat material. There is a decent amount of parking but only a small bike rack. I imagine parking may be harder when there is a ball game happening at the attached ball field. However, there would most likely be plenty of street parking. Overall a wonderful playground for all ages.

Absolutely love this place. Every time we come to Monterey, we stop here to let the kids play. It's so huge and fun that even I end up running around with my kids and be active.

The playground is quite big, it has swings, rock climbing, a baseball field, skateboard rink, fun slide. So serene and calm surroundings. The kids enjoyed playing here, had fun watching the skateboarding. There is a snack bar near the parking area which is convenient. Restrooms were functional and clean.

Great playground for the kids! Very crowded. I love that they have a sk8 park! If we had known, we would have brought boards. Either way, they had fun and that’s all that matters. Parking isn’t great when it’s busy. We had to park across the street and next to a sign that warned us about falling limbs from the trees above. That was a bit nerve-racking considering we were in a rental car with no extra insurance. 😬 But all turned out well.

We visited Monterey for the day and on the way into town my kids noticed this park from the road. I’m glad we stopped to check out this park because my kids ended up having so much fun. There was a lot for them to explore and quite a few structures for them to play on. The park was nice and well kept and everyone played nicely. We will definitely stop here again next time we’re in town.

Great park, my kids really enjoyed theirselves. There are so many things at this play ground I would say it’s more like a amusement park then a regular park, park.

One of the best playgrounds we’ve been to. It’s huge and very popular with a climbing wall, bridge, and multiple play structures. It’s also located near a pond where you can rent pedal boats by the 1/2 hour. There no sand in this playground, but instead there are wood chips. Great for a wide range of ages.

This is a beautiful park. The park has many different things for the kids to play with. There were swings, slides, small maze and other jungle type gyms to run around in. The park resides next to a small lake that almost surrounds around the whole park. My 2 year old daugther loved this park and was upset when we left. This is a park perfect for all ages of kids.

Our favorite park! It's usually pretty busy but the park is pretty spread out with lots of stuff to do. Kids always have a great time!

Awesome playground! Went with kids 5 and under and they definitely had a blast. So many of the toys were steep and it made it fun for them to walk down or climb up. Definitely Dennis the Mennis themed! Would highly recommend!

Beautiful park for kids. I didn't know that Hank Ketcham himself was involved in setting this one!

BEST PLAYGROUND EVER! We came across the Dennis the Menace Playground while doing our California Coast drive and I’m glad we got to check the playground out. It was very spacious and offered different activities and play structures. Even as adults we got to enjoy the playground. Worth checking out if you’re in the area

A large and very fun playground with lots to do and explore. There are some unique aspects too not often seen other places: a roller slide (a little too bumpy for this grownup), a huge merry go round, a very tall slide, a suspension bridge, a rock wall, and even a train engine (though sadly you can’t play on it. Our kids had a great time for hours over multiple visits. There’s a small pond nearby where you can rent paddle boats (some are shaped like dragons, others as ducks and swans, super fun, $25-$40/hour depending on type of water fowl). There’s also a skatepark Nextdoor, what a blast.

My 3 girls had a blast there yesterday. I wish we had a park like that over here in the central valley. Snack bar at the entrance sells good food. It's a great park to visit if you have kids. Definitely recommend this place.

A must when taking your kids to the Monterey area! The design of this park is great! There’s enough parking, restrooms, and it’s suitable for all ages! My toddler and 5-year-old both had a blast. The slides are super fun and there’s so much to do, you’ll be here for hours on end.

My son loves this park . It really a nice place for the parents to take the kids they have bathrooms as soon as you enter the park that are very clean and they even have a food stand next to the park in front of a baseball field . With some good fries and corn dogs. They have plenty of parking around the park so for the most part u shouldn't have a issue finding one.

If you have kids this is kind of a must. Large playground so if you habe two kids you need two parents. Easy to loose track on one of them if they are on the younger side. Large selection of climbing, sliding, running, and hiding areas for them to burn off energy.

Great place to let your children run wild and stay within a gated proximity to your view. The environment is clean and has restroom attention. It's located on the main streets of Monterey and easily accessible to your time constraints.

A huge outdoor area with a large variety of unique and interesting playground equipment. There's a bouldering wall and roller slide. Almost everything is handicap and stroller accessible as well. Keep an eye on your kids as there is a lot of space here for them to roam!
