Del
Monte
Shopping
Center
is
an
open
air
mall
in
the
city
of
Monterey.
The
mall
has
lot
of
gardens
with
flowers
and
plants
and
there’s
benches,
etc
to
sit.
One
thing
about
this
mall
is
the
fact
that
it
is
not
handicap
friendly.
It
has
very
little
parking
for
the
handicapped
and
manoeuvrability
for
those
in
wheelchairs
can
be
somewhat
difficult.
This
mall
has
plenty
of
stairs
and
unfortunately
no
handicap
ramps
making
those
using
wheelchairs
having
to
go
around
in
order
to
get
to
certain
places.
This
mall
is
also
popular
with
the
many
homeless
people
in
Monterey
so
panhandling
occurs
here
often
and
is
very
annoying.
The
parking
lot
is
very
tight
so
you
have
a
high
risk
of
getting
damage
to
your
vehicle.
There’s
plenty
of
places
to
eat
at
but
not
anything
that
is
really
exceptional.
The
Kona
Steak
House
is
the
newest
restaurant
which
is
fairly
popular.
It’s
also
a
bit
pricey
for
what
they
offer
but
the
food
is
decent
and
the
restaurant
has
a
nice
atmosphere
and
vibe.
Del
Monte
Center
does
have
some
decent
stores
including
Macy’s
but
there’s
really
not
much
here
that
is
worth
making
a
trip
here
to
visit.
I
rate
Del
Monte
Center
with
2
stars
below
average.
This
mall
is
spread
out
too
much
to
be
truly
enjoy
walking
around.
Somewhat
of
a
poor
layout.
