Fantastic atmosphere for lunch or a coffee. The name caught attention because it refers to the city of Sorocaba (São Paulo - Brazil). There seems to be a Brazilian atmosphere in this place. After all, since the end of the 1930s it has become an iconic place with the coffee that came from Sorocaba. Here was also the inspiring place for the popular Uruguayan writer Mario Benedetti to write his best-known work: La Trégua. In addition to the beautiful menu, the prices are affordable and make it worth it. Simply spectacular!

We loved the place and the attention. The coffee was delicious and so were the churros, we tried some alfajorcitos that were delicious. The price agreed with the place.

I have been having lunch at this restaurant for work reasons and I have discovered two things; the Uruguayan food and the kindness of the people who serve it. For me it is a reference restaurant in Montevideo. I will return for sure. A pleasant and highly recommended place. 🇪🇸
