So it was 11.30 pm at night and the restaurant closes at midnight we came by walk after watching uruguay international match to have a peaceful dinner we came to ereven with the thought to have some good food the restaurant was almost full and we were 4 ppl (Indian) and there was other group with 4 ppl urugyayo and there was 1 table empty with some leftover of the previous guests but when we went to table the waiter working at restaurant didn't allowed us to occupy the empty table and so we had to come out of restaurant looking for other options and we saw the waiter cleaned the table and allowed other group which was urugyayo to occupy and when we went back to ask for it they said there are no tables available..This we saw an ACT OF RACISM

This place was an insult to Armenian food and I'm not even Armenian. I can't recommend this place at all, they served us a old brown cabbage salad and a mushy tomato salad with our taste of Armenia platter for two, also the humous was flavourless because it had no sesame paste or garlic inside, all the cheeses tasted stale, although to be fair the crackers, baba ghanoush, yoghurt and cubierto garlic sauce were decent. Back to the point, any restaurant that serves yesterday's cabbage salad after it has turned brown should very ashamed, especially when there are five people working in the kitchen. When asked for a discount the the owner and his wife denied that it was old food. We offered to pay the whole dinner minus the cubierto which we thought was fair but the owner and his wife thought it would be better to call the police and make us pay for his culinary mistakes while calling us crazy and ridiculing us in front of the other costumers in the restaurant. Thank goodness for the one reasonable waitress who stood up for us as much as she could without risking her job, I tell her thank you, you are awesome! So take my advice and take your money to another establishment that deserves your loyalty!!

Located in pocitos, this Armenian restaurant always lives up to the quality of food. Shish kebab de pollo or carne both are extremely good and you can add the options of fries/asado verduras/ rice. Chivitos are also a good option if you are hungry and need a satiating plate. Veg options there are falafel chivitos or falafel kebabs both are very good.

Great place to taste Armenian food in Montevideo, wonderful service, and good prices.

Not a great experience. I ordered the mixed shish kebab and what I got was two soggy, limpy sticks of minced meat on a bed of even soggier rice. The meat was clearly reheated and not freshly grilled. Shish kebabs typically consist of proper cubes of meat freshly grilled on skewers, but not here - you get chewy minced meat that’s clearly not fresh. On top of that, the staff members were not particularly welcoming - our waiter was looking at the tv screen while taking our order and handing us our food. The table we were pointed to was not clean so we had to move to a different one. You can get much better food for the same price elsewhere in the neighbourhood. So please do yourselves a favour and eat somewhere else.

I won‘t be rushing back. The portion was filling but my falafel and the shish kekab for my partner were not fresh - but instead appeared to be reheated. Edible but one can eat a lot better for the same budget in Montevideo.

Overall experience is good. 1. Food quality : 8 out of 10 2. Food quantity : 9 out of 10 3. Ambience : 5 out of 10 4. Service : this is the worst thing here. I can give maximum 1 out of 10. Someone will take the order after 15 mins waiting, serve the food after 30 mins, prepare the bill after 15 mins, take the payment after 15 mins. It's an horrible experience with respect to the service here. Now coming to the food. 1. Falafal is the best item and really mouth watering. 2. Swarma is the next best thing. Both chicken & beef is too good. 3. Variety of beers & wines available here. 4. Cheese cake is good but not awesome. In one line : if you have enough time in your hand, definitely it's recommended.

Always I go here for Shawarma, for normal eaters, one Shawarma will be good enough for two.

Good Atmosphere Vegetarian Kebabs are good. Pollo Kebabs are not upto the mark but can be tried once. They serve pockets with papad and two types of chutneys as a welcome starter, And those are actually delicious.
