Juan Pedro Fabini Square in Montevideo, Uruguay, is a peaceful and charming urban park with well-maintained gardens and a central fountain. It's a great place to relax, read, or have a leisurely stroll. A delightful spot for both locals and tourists seeking a calm and enjoyable experience in the heart of the city.

It has some good options for eating, e.g La Passiva, which is responsible for conserving the park too. It also has a cozy and interesting library. A couple of years ago, it use to host an art exhibition called SubTe. At Christmas, the park is garnished with several adornments.

Incredible spot in the center of Montevideo. If you want to "scape of agitated city life" for a second or find a little of mind peace come and seat next to one of the fountains and let the sound of the water do it's magic. You will feel so peaceful in a matter of minutes... Then if hunger strikes go and eat something at La Pasiva😅🤷🏻‍♂️.

The statue was grand. We wished the crypt was opened.

This was a very pleasant park when we walked through on the evening. It was well lit and many people were relaxing on the grass.

This used to be one of the prettiest squares in Montevideo not so many years ago. Unfortunately, the latest city’s administrations have paid little attention to this place, so nowadays it’s mostly disgusting. There’s almost no grass, the fountain is always turned off and completely dirty. It’s a real pity.

The Plaza del Entrevero is a quaint peaceful public Plaza, directly in the City Center on the Main Bulevard, with many benches surrounding the incredible Bronze Statue of Fighting Gauchos. If you're hungry, on one corner of the Plaza is the well known Uruguayan cuisine restaurant, "La Pasiva", where you can order anything from the traditional "Chivito" to Hotdogs served with German Beer Mustard (Really Delicious). Or quench your thirst with an Ice Cold Beverage. Just a wonderful outdoor environment to rest your feet and satisfy your appetite. Enjoy!

It's amazing the contrast of this park. One the one hand,it has wonderful tango dancing when the weather is nice, with some good places to eat all around. Then on the other it has people hassling you for money or some of your food if you dare to eat at the park, dog poop, public drug use, and not a single cop in sight. I want to like the place, I really do, but...

Great to visit in the morning or day, especially on a Sunday, where shops are closed, there are less people and very good photos of the surrounding old buildings, art-decó style, can be taken. During the week, it's nice to visit and have a coffee. In the night is relatively safe, but gets some people of suspicious look, I wouldn't recommend it
