Went there for breakfast. We were ignored for half an hour. We asked for the menu, menu did not arrive after 10 more minutes.. we decided to leave. Very bad customer service. They seem no to care that you are there. No I’m not doing you a favour for coming to your business! Treat your customers with respect and show appreciation!

Diner that serves some local favorites. Tried the Milanesa napolitana. One of the better ones I tried in the city.

The chicken was burnt. Be careful, here you can be debited in US dollars, and not in pesos Uruguay. Thank God that I didn’t have dollars on my card balance that day. But the waiters are very nice.

Nice and kinda trendy, at least among locals. This is the oldest bar in old Montevideo. The location is perfect, close to architectural attractions (of which there are many in the city). Food is nice, though could be better, but what's outstanding is the friendly staff. Don't forget to take a picture with Gardel outside, and bring a lock for the fountain.

They served my companion and told me I had to wait 5 minutes. Ten minutes later they brought me the wrong food. By the time I got my food her food was cold. The sauce on my Ravioli was bland and the portion was small. Her hot dog with cheese was quite good.

Very nice experience. I had breakfast there. A hot sandwich, capuccino and orange juice. The cheese of the hot sandwich was amazing, and the orange juice was made in the moment with natural oranges. The service was very quick and very helpful.

Very similar to a New York Deli, the statues in front are the draw. And the very fancy desserts.

Awesome place with a tango show, delicious food and tasty wine

Nice and old cafeteria, it has big windows and an exterior terrace with an iconic statue of Carlos Gardel, the tango singer. He used to sit there and have a coffee. Food is normal, but expensive. Media lunas are big, too much to my taste. Remarkable is they have a menu in braille for visually impaired people.

Amazing attitude, super fresh, great taste. Fernando got us everything we asked for, as we asked: even though they were not on the menu (like only fried eggs, tomato salad with only olive etc.) Totally recommended!

Lovely typical Montevideo bar with broad choice of foods, great service and view of 18 de Julio and one of its side streets.

I went there as part of a tour group. The chavito sandwich was excellent and service was great even though the staff were serving dozens of guests simultaneously.

We sat outside and had churros, coffees and we also tried the matte. Churros were quite hard but the Dulce de leche was lovely. The service started out good but as the place got busier there was still just one poor guy serving everyone.

Some of the most delicious food I've ever had! My family ate here quite often during our 10 day stay in Montevideo, Uruguay for my oldest daughter's wedding. Everything we ordered, from the many various types of sandwiches, to pastas, and other foods were wonderful. Generous portions, wonderful fresh ingredients, and friendly helpful service-- you couldn't ask for more!

Our local coffee bar and restaurant where we always get a good personal service. The coffee and food is good and not so expensive. Many locals stop by and at times it can be busy here.

It's ok, I mean, its not going to blow your mind, but its a safe choice after all. The presentation of the coffee could be done better, and the prices could be a little bit lower. Still a strong option and would go again if I'm in a rush.

It's a nice place, they have Tango dance live and the environment it's very good. We only had 1 Assado plate with beer. I didn't had any more Assado in Montevideo, but as a worker from the gastronomy business, I can't recommend this dish from Facal. Is just my opinion, but the place is nice.

A busy and friendly restaurant in the heart of Montevideo. We went there mainly for coffee. They have an expresso machine and make reasonable coffee. The service is prompt and friendly. The atmosphere is inviting and cosy. The food is good but ordinary. All in all if you are in the area you won't go wrong stopping and eating here.

Average food and service. However, is a great place for tourists who want to try Uruguayan cuisine.
