Was great. Not anymore. Poor service and very average food

Mixed Experience with Ups and Downs I recently dined at your establishment, drawn in by the allure of traditional Uruguayan parrillada. While certain aspects of my experience left a positive impression, there were also notable disappointments. Let me begin with the positives: The service was exemplary, with a friendly and attentive waiter who skillfully handled a cooking mishap, promptly replacing a wrong term cut with a complimentary one cooked to the correct term. Kudos for such swift and courteous resolution. The portion sizes were commendably generous, and the atmosphere was delightful. Now, onto the culinary details: 1. **Serrano Ham with Goat Cheese, Olive Oil, and Parmesan:** A solid start, with well-served ham and a pleasing combination of flavors. 2. **Garcia Provolone Cheese:** While the dish was tasty, the provolone lacked the characteristic smokiness expected from a parrilla preparation. Nevertheless, the fresh and crisp vegetables added a delightful touch. 3. **Filleted Gizzard:** Unfortunately, the sweetbreads were overcooked, resulting in a tough and somewhat dry texture. The traditional crispy outside and tender inside were amiss, and an extra dose of lemon helped but wasn’t enough to fix this. Just a correction to your menu, only birds have “gizzards” you should fix your menu to say “sweetbread” which is the proper translation of “mollejas”. 4. **Master Baby Beef Premium:** This was the low point of the meal. Despite the evident quality of the beef, both the initial well-done cut (when medium was requested) and the subsequent replacement, while correctly cooked, felt like a downgrade in terms of cut quality. It was just not the same cut. 5. **Arugula Salad with Apple, Nuts, and Goat Cheese:** The salad showcased fresh, crisp vegetables with well-balanced seasoning. 6. **Traditional Dulce de Leche Pancake:** A delightful conclusion to the meal, these pancakes were a true highlight, boasting superb texture and flavor. In summary, your establishment displayed exceptional service, generous portions, and moments of culinary delight, particularly with the dulce de leche pancakes. However, the inconsistencies in certain dishes, especially the Master Baby Beef, left me with mixed feelings. I hope that the kitchen can refine its execution to match the great service and atmosphere.

This was recommended as the best steakhouse in Uruguay and it did not disappoint! The steak was seasoned really well and the lamb chops were perfectly tender!

Baby beef and rack de Cordero are two great choices.

Becareful when they offer you a "wine sample" to see if you like the wine. They end up open a bottle and charging it you just to push a sell, instead of having sample bottles prepared. If you don't speak spanish, they may end up taking advantage.

Very cozy environment, great service and delicious food. Chicken, seafood, pasta, appetizers and sangria, all amazing.

Well I clearly ordered the wrong thing! I ordered the salmon and shrimp with veggies dish. The salmon and shrimp was covered in sauce and was very over cooked and underwhelming. The veggies were also overcooked, mushy and uneditable. I didn’t realize the dish would be covered in sauce as it was not mentioned on the menu. I know I was in trouble when I was not asked how did I prefer my salmon cooked. The shrimp was hard and curled up tightly from the over cooking. The vegetables were totally demolished. I did order a salad which was plain but the lettuce tomato’s and onions were fresh. My dish was dropped up by a server and I never saw my waiter again, he disappeared after taking my order. No one came to check on me after my food was delivered. I was starving so I scraped off the ridiculous amount of sauce and picked through the salmon to find editable pieces. After sitting for 45 minutes I flagged down a random server asking for my check. Viola my waiter magically appears with my check and the credit card machine. He proceeds to ring me up and ask me about the propina (tip). I kindly told him that he never came back to my table. He told me that he was working with another server. The restaurant was not busy and I saw him mingling with others on the other side of the restaurant. I just looked at him and repeated you never came back to my table. I had to refill my water glass and no one checked on me regarding my meal. I believe in tipping but I just couldn’t for this poor experience of service and lousy food!!

I had gambas, baby beef, and a salad. Food and portions were excellent. Servers were friendly and patient as I stumbled through Spanish or just pointed at what I wanted on the Spanish/English menu.

Cozy restaurant and delicious asado. Meat quality very close to what you would find in Argentina. A must-visit when in Montevideo!

Excellent steak, lamb, and salad. Reasonably priced for high end steakhouse. Food came out pretty quickly too!

The concept of a wood-fired grill reaches its ultimate expression. The meats combined with a fine wine make for a memorable meal, plus a few extra pounds to walk off on the beach I discovered a new grape - Tannat - so we took a bottle of pure Tannat - can't recommend it more highly! Pair this aromatic trip into the woods with your meal for an amazing experience

The best steaks in Montevideo! The place is very nice with a good atmosphere, excellent service and the best steaks you'll have in Montevideo (both quality and preparation). The waiters are super professional and nice. Everything is top notch, as expected from a high quality restaurant.

This place is a classic, where you can find the best meats grilled to perfection. The place to go for a family reunion or a relax business dinner.

This was one of my favorite places to eat dinner anywhere in the world. We had been told this was the best place to eat in the city. When we told our server that people had all told us to eat there, the server asked us to trust him and brought out a grill with a variety of cuts of beef. I couldn't say which was the best. They were all outstanding. The atmosphere was great. Even in the middle of the week, the place was packed at 11pm.

Fantastic food. Everything was great, especially liked the lamb chops and the glazed sweet potatoes. Highly recommended
