Undoubtedly important to the Urugayan Jewish community, but of little interest to others. If you visit by taxi, have the taxi wait. Otherwise getting back may be difficult.

An open and contemplative space, it reminded me a bit of the Viet Nam memorial in Washington, DC

Calmness of River Plate and birds twittering makes it perfect location to pay condolences to Holocaust victims

(Translated by Google) Poorly preserved place. Signs on the tribute plaques are erased. LOTS of garbage thrown in the place, a bad smell and I even came across feces that looked like human. The place even has an atmosphere of silence and solidarity, but the garbage gets in the way. Visit only if you have time and nothing else important to go. (Original) Local mal preservado.

A monumental amount of granite was used in this memorial that with it’s proximity of the sea, which has a rocky shore, along the blue skies, contrasted with the green grass dotted with small flowers, makes a rather evocative ambience and if you are prone to reflection it’s a propitious setting to ponder deep thoughts.
