My
family
had
gone
here
5-6
years
ago;
it
had
been
a
family
favorite
for
special
occasions.
Food
had
always
been
great,
always
crowded,
lively
atmosphere,
etc.
We
went
there
around
5:30
on
a
Saturday
night.
I
was
shocked
that
I
found
a
parking
space
with
ease.
Another
tip
off
was
the
sign
on
the
front
door
that
said,
"This
door
is
broken.
Please
use
other
door."
When
I
entered,
no
one
was
in
the
waiting
area.
The
place
felt
dead.
The
inside
of
the
bar
and
dining
area
still
looked
great,
but
there
were
only
about
a
dozen
customers.
The
hostess
seated
us
right
away,
and
our
server
greeted
us
promptly
and
got
our
drinks
and
took
our
food
order.
The
food
aromas
smelled
amazing,
but
I
couldn't
get
over
the
absence
of
the
lively
atmosphere
I
had
so
much
enjoyed
in
the
past.
A
few
more
customers
came
in
while
we
were
there,
but
nothing
close
to
past
experiences.
I
ordered
boneless
wings.
When
they
arrived,
they
were
like
small
chicken
nuggets,
the
kitchen
had
skimped
on
the
sauce,
and
they
were
cold.
In
the
past,
my
food
had
always
been
piping
hot
and
the
portions
had
been
generous.
Our
server
regularly
checked
on
us
and
was
polite.
Before
we
left,
my
wife
used
the
restroom
and
said
it
needed
a
major
cleaning.
Three
of
us
ate
for
about
$53
plus
tip.
Afterward,
we
had
dessert
somewhere
else.
We
reflected
that
the
dessert
was
more
memorable
than
the
meal.
It's
really
a
shame.
Maybe
I
should
have
ordered
something
else,
or
maybe
we
went
there
too
early
in
the
evening.
So,
final
assessment:
nice
hostess
and
servers,
lackluster
kitchen
and
ambiance,
with
facilities
in
need
of
maintenance.
I
really
hope
they
get
the
place
back
to
former
conditions
and
do
something
to
bring
in
the
people.
