I
started
at
Amped
as
a
trainer
and
quickly
moved
up
into
the
AGM(Assistant
General
Manager)
position.
I
loved
the
gym
and
the
environment.
I
was
finally
able
to
fulfill
a
dream
that
I've
had
for
a
long
time,
to
become
a
Personal
Trainer
and
Nutrition
Coach.
Upon
being
promoted,
I
was
told
I
would
immediately
have
to
re-assign
all
my
clients
and
was
not
allowed
to
train
anymore.
My
whole
purpose
was
to
"set,
show,
close"
and
a
constant,
daily
threat
of
"your
position
is
yours
to
lose"
(everyone
there
is
told
this
daily).
My
GM
was
promoted
to
a
District
Manager
position
and
was
subsequently,
not
in
the
club
daily
anymore.
I
was
expected
to
make
sure
the
gym
ran
efficiently,
but
was
also
told
daily
to
"stay
in
my
lane"
and
not
ask
too
many
questions.
My
goal
was
to
become
the
GM
at
some
point
in
the
near
future,
but
I
was
already
being
held
to
GM
standards
and
expected
to
perform
as
such,
as
the
AGM.
The
last
conversation
I
had
with
my
DM
was
one
in
which
I
was
being
scolded
for
slacking
off
too
much
that
day,
which
was
1
day
before
the
end
of
the
pay
period
and
myself
and
my
team
had
the
club's
numbers
at
108%
to
target
and
my
numbers
were
at
145%
to
my
target.
I
knew
then,
what
my
real
purpose
was
there
and
knew
I
had
to
leave
that
environment.
I
did
not
give
a
two
week
notice.
Why
would
I?
Would
they
let
me
know
two
weeks
in
advance
if
they
planned
of
firing
me
or
demoting
me?
The
answer
is
no,
they
would
not!!
I
went
last
night
to
retrieve
a
couple
of
pieces
of
training
equipment
that
belonged
to
me,
only
to
find
out
that
not
only
had
my
$300
of
equipment
been
thrown
away,
but
I
had
also
been
permanently
banned
from
Amped,
because
I
didn't
work
out
a
notice.
I
truly
thought
of
everyone
at
Amped
as
extended
members
of
family
and
that
is
something
that
is
constantly
purported
by
leadership.
If
turning
on
one
of
your
own,
because
they
did
something
you
don't
like,
is
they're
definition
of
family,
I
definitely
don't
belong
there.
What
worries
me
the
most
is
that
I
left
a
Team
of
really
good
people
behind,
that
still
have
to
work
under
these
same
conditions.
My
heart
goes
out
to
them.
