It is a nice little art museum and is free. Grounds seemed nice, the sculpture garden is a quick pass through, temporary exhibit was closed so no comment on it. The kids area is really designed for 8 and under, not engaging enough for my art loving teen or preteen. It can't be compared to the Guggenheim or Vatican Museum, but my 3 star rating isn't a reflection on the variety of the collection but from being stalked by guards. Never makes for an enjoyable experience. I have brought my 3 kids through art museums across Europe, NY, D.C. etc so they know how to behave. They are from 10 to 14 years, so not young. Despite this, there was never a guard more than 5 feet from me and my kids the entire time, constantly facing our direction despite other patrons in the area. I would be hard pressed to say this museum encourages family attendance if you don't intend to keep your children in the kid area only. Esp if you are a mom alone with your children.

This is a free museum!! It is a good size for being free. Not many super well known artists, but still a decent variety. The building itself is beautiful, and is on a lake by a park which is worth seeing in itself. Definitely worth a visit!

Such a calming environment! Beautiful artwork and with the interactive art room, it's a great place to take the kids for the day!

By far, the best museum in Montgomery! Furnished with fine arts along with art and play center for children. The exhibit which is a fusion of science and art of the laughter of bias --by far the best exhibit I've viewed.

Beautiful! Gorgeous array of all forms of art. Amazing pieces, from very old pieces to current, Tiffany and Georgia O'Keefe just 2 that I can remember right off the top. The location is a luscious, green park surrounded by giant magnolia trees and other huge, flowing leafy trees and a sprawling lake wrapping around the backside. Gift shop was sadly closed for renovations.

Gorgeous Museum!!! The inside of the museum was gorgeous and the outside is even more beautiful! Amazing sculptures, gorgeous paintings, fantastic pieces, and a lot of spaciousness too. Wonderful experience. Would love to come back.

The outside is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking! The museum is part of a park allowing natures beauty to over shine the whole thing! Very friendly staff! Exhibits were small, but it’s still a cute, nice, and free museum!

It's a great place to take your children and grandchildren. They have days for art and a hands on computer room 🙂. They also have a puppet shows! Afterwards you can picnic 🧺 in the park amongst the many statues of art work.
