The food is always fresh and tasty. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The selection of Pies by Inge desserts is always jaw-droppingly expansive β€” and the pies are literally the best in the area. The seating and acoustics aren't always as comfortable as you might want. Go for the chili or pot roast sandwich, stay for the amazing pie. πŸ˜‰

Love this place, old fashion deli with many menu options, very friendly staff. Lots of seating room. located in historic downtown Monticello, IL, in business for over 38 years.

Fun atmosphere. The murals on the wall are cool with the hidden faces and the art gallery upstairs was unique. I ordered the burrito and it was actually really good 😊

Excellent food/pie! Cute and quirky. So glad we found this place on our "day date". We got pies and cookies to go.

Recommended to us by friends who grew up in Monticello. We drove 20 miles out of our way to give it a try. Went on a Friday because we heard that the chicken salad which is a Friday thing was not to be missed. It did not disappoint! Wonderful flavor and the addition of grape halves was awesome. I had it on a toasted croissant but it would have been equally delicious without bread. My partner had an Italian sub and got it toasted to melt the cheese a little. It was a little pricey -10.99 for a sub that was a 6 inch sandwich. It was delicious. Our two sandwiches and a large and medium drink was $35. A bit pricey for a lunch but it was really good. We decided after the meal to buy a piece of homemade pie. So many choices - fruit and cream pies. I had a strawberry pie and my partner enjoyed chocolate cream. So if you are near Monticello, stop in for a sandwich and/or a piece of pie. You will not be disappointed.

Cute little deli with a wonderful selection of sandwiches, soups, wraps and amazing desserts and cookies. Only cons it is pricey and my broccoli cheese soups was β€œthin/runny with very little broccoli.

Fantastic local place, I highly recommend! I had the Honey Berry Roll up and a side of Egg Salad, both were super delicious!.

Took 30 minutes to get a small overpriced roast beef sandwich to go even though it was the daily special. Wasn't worth it. Won't be back.
