Highly recommend all vegans visit this spot on their trip through the Catskills. We got the vegan chicken noodle soup with the bread bowl which was perfect for the fall/winter weather outside. The soup was delicious and good portion. We also got 2 vegan chicken sandwiches. For starters, the vegan chick'n patty is homemade in store and the BEST we've ever had. We travel often and have tried many Chick'n patty's, but this is the best by far. It tastes like real chicken (even better actually). I want to say this in the kindest way possible because I truly mean these are the best we've had, but the sandwiches were a bit over spiced. These sandwiches are the real deal and so flavorful on their own. They don't need all that sauce on the sandwich because the flavor is so amazing on its own. Next time I would request no seasoning/sauce on my sandwich because we enjoyed the sandwich so much just as it is. The sauce just takes away some of the beautiful flavors that the awesome cook created! Can't wait to return to this spot on our next trip.

SO glad we found this gem! As a vegan traveling with friends it can be hard to find food for EVERYONE. You often wind up eating lettuce and tomatoes while your friends have steaks burgers pastas and more. Well, Savory Sweet Eatery has everyone covered and is DELICIOUS. The vegan options are awesome and you aren't up charged because you are vegan. The owner is SO lovely and accommodating. I can't wait to try more on my trip back upstate. If you are plant based or even just want to support an amazing small business, EAT HERE.

Our first time going to Savory Sweet was by chance. We set out to eat elsewhere and it was closed. We were unsure what to make of the place because the sign out front said Savory Sweet Confections and through the window all we saw was what looked like a bakery shop. I finally saw the stuffed burger sign on the window and decided to give it a shot. The owner served us kindly. Chatted with us and gave us a run down on how things were prepared. I got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and my Husband got a burger. The first bite of my sandwich was absolute heaven! Juicy chicken breaded with a flavorful crispy batter, fresh roll and just enough bacon to not overwhelm but compliment the chicken. My Husband absolutely loved his burger and it was cooked to perfection. If I had one suggestion it would be to make it an obvious restaurant. The place is within a stones throw of 2 busy bakeries but with this menu front and center there would be lines out the door. Absolutely delicious, it was a pleasure.

Hands down the Best Burger and Service I’ve had! The owner and chef is Amazing and she’s a true chef. Everything is made so fresh! The burgers are huge and freshly ground! As my fiancé says the seasoning is in the burgers and not just on them. The food was flavorful and juicy! We live an hour away and will definitely be returning even if only for the food. Visit this place now; you won’t regret it! So happy to support such an amazing Black-Owned Business.

First time trying this place . I was craving macaroni and cheese since a few days but they was closed Monday and Tuesday . But finally it’s Wednesday and got me this delicious macaroni and cheese with chicken and roasted tomatoes . Omg so delicious like real southern food . The cake was delicious as well 💛💛. You want home style food please give this place a try you won’t be disappointed. I gotta say one of the best foods I’ve tasted out of Monticello ny

This is an absolute gem. The chef is making delicious food from scratch, so relax and have a coffee from the wide selection of single-origin beans. We tried the cob salad, steak salad, Greek salad, Nashville hot sandwich, and a selection of cakes for dessert. All of it was wonderful, with the chicken and steak for the salads cooked to order and the dressings all made in-house. Thank you, chef!

I have to say, this is some home style cooking. The Mac and cheese was on point. My wife got the salad with shrimp. She was very pleased. I had a fresh made hamburger with bacon and blue cheese cooked perfectly. How I asked for. A small, quiet atmosphere with light music in the background. The owner said the building was once an old theater, and the ticket box is still at the front door. What a great experience.

Well, my experience could have been better. I want to start out by saying that my interactions with the staff were friendly and pleasant and this area needs a place like this. I ordered two Stuffed Burgers and a large Mac n Cheese. I ordered mine to be well-done and my girlfriend ordered medium-well. My burgers (seemed to be two patties) were both very pink and luke warm inside. My girlfriend's burgers happened to look like uncooked hamburger meat. She ended up barely eating any of the Chris' Stuffed Burger because of it. I do not like burgers to be pink at all (hence the ordering of well-done) so my burger being largely pink certainly made me uneasy. The large Mac N' Cheese happens to be pretty yummy and I'm happy about that - it's very cheesy! With all of this being said, I was certainly looking forward to this place being good because I'm a foodie and this is right up my alley. I don't want to speculate, but perhaps the reason it was this way was because I ordered later at night (ordered around 7 PM and picked up around 7:40)? Overall the taste was good, and perhaps I will end up giving it a second chance in the future.

The ONLY great burger in Monticello. High quality! Also, European style pastries (not too sweet) made on premises. So glad we found somewhere local to eat!

Such an amazing little place to enjoy a delicious homemade burger. I almost felt like I was a guest at her home. She chatted while she grilled up perfect burger and fries. It was too big to eat by hand but I managed. 😆 Such a great place for those traveling through who appreciate a great quality meal cooked by the nicest people. 10 out of 10

I consider myself a burger aficionado. I've been to many burgers places around the Continental US. Burgers are my favorite food, I live and breathe burgers. So believe me when I say the burger I had at Savory Sweet was one of the best burgers I've ever had in years, and definitely the best one ever had in New York. The cheesecake was especially great also, not too sweet which is how I prefer them. Do yourself a favor and stop reading reviews and just go! I would seriously recommend coming here even if it's out of the way. They even have cane sugar coca cola! This place was the highlight of my trip.

Really amazing place. Great burgers and fried chicken sandwiches. Everything is homemade, including many of the sauces. Please don’t be fooled by the restaurant’s appearance. Very small and doesn’t look like a typical restaurant. But the food is delicious and the owner is a sweetheart.

I am in town for work, and tried Savory Sweet Eatery based on Google reviews. This was the most amazing burger I have ever eaten in my life. I will easily drive the 2 1/2 hours from my home to eat here again.
