👍👍 I did the basic tour (in Spanish, €7) and it was an excellent introduction to the wine of Montilla. The guide was knowledgeable and gave an interesting history both of the production and the Bodega itself. At the end we tried 3 types of wine with olives and bread. I did the basic tour (in Spanish, €7) and it was an excellent introduction to the wine of Montilla. The guide was knowledgeable and gave an interesting history both of the production and the Bodega itself. At the end we tried 3 types of wine with olives and bread. The tour is offered in Spanish, English and in French and costs €7,€11 or €14 depending on what aperitifs you wish to accompany the wine.

We just had a very informative guided tour in English and afterwards we tasted 4 wines. Price 15 EUR. We wrote an email in advance and made the reservation not to drive in vein.

Great tour of the winery with a knowledgeable guide. Tours are available in both English and Spanish. The tour was 12 euro for a one hour tour, with tastings of three wines at the end accompanied by cheese, olives, and bread. You need to call in advance to make a reservation.

Even though we arrived late for the tour we felt most welcome. The ladies are very nice, speak English and French as well and will answer all your questions before a nice wine tasting, with tapas! Great moment altogether, I recommend.

Theresa was a fantastic tour guide. Great knowledge of the winery and wine making. We had a great tour and a great tasting afterwards. Very knowledgeable. Fantastic wines too. I very much recommend both the tour and the wines.

The tour to Bodega Alvear was a wonderful experience. Even though it was raining, we were able to see the location, specially the wine cellars...we learned the history of this sweet wine, Pedro Ximenez, that dates back to the 1700s, and has been made by the Alvear family for 8 generations...will recommend a stop here at Montilla, Córdoba, Spain, and learn about this wine.

Good wine tour and good value. 12 💶. Included an enthusiastic host who was educated and clearly passionate about her work. The tour included three wines, olives, cheese and crackers. Would highly recommend.

An excellent tour full of great explanations of how they create their exquisite wines. You can ask to have a tour in English or Spanish but some staff also speak French and other languages as well. We were made to feel very welcome and at the end we sampled three beautiful wines. The prices in the shop were also very reasonable. This is a must visit if you are in the area. The only thing I would suggest is that the parking is very difficult to find on the street.

If you want a tour you must book in advance. We visited the shop instead. The lady there was very kind and forthcoming with explanations about the wines and how they are made. She offered a tasting for us where we were able to try different styles of wine from the region. The quality and prices were quite reasonable!

Not the best wine we've tasted in the region. The Vermouth was delicious. We called around noon to visit and they told us they were closed until 4:30pm. No visit, only tasting 4 wines in the store.

The vinery does not even bother to let you know that your confirmed visit is cancelled. I made a detour of 100 km to this vinery and it was closed. Stay away. It is not possible to give a negative rating.
