This park is about an hour drive from Ottawa. It's not very busy and the wavey and uphill trails made it very fun for me. However, I did think the trails were NOT labeled very well. Trail 7 was what we took and there were a number of times that we had to wander in the wrong direction because of the lack of signs. This is a bit surprising considering its $8 per adult to visit. While I enjoyed the trail, I wouldn't be going back due to the distance, short trails and entrance fee. If you need a change from trails you visit it may be worth checking out for you. 🙂

Pretty easy trails with admission fee of 10$ per adults. The signs are clear, not crowded.

Amazing spot, an hour and a bit from ottawa, we went this weekend and it was not busy at all.. beautiful cabin with chairs and tables where you can sit indoor and rest. Washrooms, running water and a shower too! They have a nice out door seating with benches as well. We took trail number 7 which was about two hour for us, we were a big group with kids. It is not easy in a sense that there is lots of ups.. but the views are definitely rewarding. A great thih about this trails that you can drive up to the view point. One of our group couldn’t hike but she kept meeting us at the viewing point.

Amazing hike! The mister at the reception was super helpful and explained to us which trails to take to have a good challenge. We took the trails 7 and 12 together, and the hike took us 3h to complete, exactly as the mister at the reception said! The entrance fee is 10$. Some parts of the trails were confusing, as we didn’t know which side to go to, and there were a lot of leaves on the ground, which makes it harder to see the trail. However, we just followed our gut, and there were a few signs here there with the number of the trail, or some red tape around a tree branch that lets us know we’re on the right track. The trail 7 was pretty easy, and we met a lot of people on the way, either to the Belvédère or the Tour d’observation. I think that’s the park’s most popular trail. The views were amazing. Right after the Tour d’observation, we took the trail 12 and that’s when we were alone in the woods (we did not meet anyone, except towards the end of the trail), and it felt so peaceful, with all the leaves on the ground and the trees with so many colourful leaves. There was one part, as the receptionist said, that’s really steep, and it gave us quite a challenge. I highly recommend the hike of the trails 7 and 12 to any hike enthusiast! I would definitely go back and try the other trails someday!

Excellent hike with well-marked and maintained trails and friendly service at the welcome area. Clean toilets and light refreshments available at trailhead.

Hiking is nice and very well indicated but the camping not so much. I mean it’s woodsy and rustic but way too close to other people. Was up all night with the person next door snoring. Then tractors in the day making noise at the parking area. Heard everyone’s conversations and if we wanted to disconnect, I still heard other peoples phones.

Came here before when we would parc at the bottom and hike to the top. Now we drive to the top (gettin old) and enjoy the view from the tower. In the same evening we watched the sunset from the tower then walked to the other side of the mountain (1km) and watched the moon rise. Beautiful!
