First day of our stay ruined; also problems with the restaurant. 1. Upon checking-in, we were informed that we would not be able to have dinner in the restaurant that evening and also lunch the next day, because the restaurant was already fully booked. As a data point, the hotel is located on a steep slope in a rural area, so there are virtually no alternatives for eating in a vicinity. When I subsequently applied to the hotel manager (also in relation to the item 2 below), he was finally able to secure us a table reservation for dinner after making some phone calls. "I will try to do the impossible" - were the manager's own words in regard to table reservation. Unexpected as it sounds for a 5-star hotel, from our experience it seems it is your task to secure yourself a table for dinner, apparently even prior to actually arriving. 2. Our main goal in choosing that hotel was the indoor swimming pool, and our 5-year son has been dreaming about it for days since we arrived. Therefore the first thing we did upon unpacking our things was to get dressed for the swimming. Already wearing bathrobes, we discovered that the hotel room safe does not work: the safe shows a "battery error" when trying to lock it. I called the reception and 2 employees visited us in succession, but were unable to fix the safe. Their summary was: "Today we cannot fix it, we will need a technician for safes to visit tomorrow". I had to go to the reception to speak to the hotel manager. He suggested me to change rooms and asked us to wait for 20 minutes until the other room was prepared. Still wearing bathrobes, we were now packing our things back into the suitcases for the move. Upon entering the new room (number 228), we at once noticed a cigarette smell there. The room service suggested bringing an electronic smoke cancellation device; the device was running in the room for an hour while we were in the swimming pool. Returning back, the smell was still distinctly present, and after 15 minutes of staying in the room while getting dressed for dinner, both my wife and I started feeling headache, even though we are normal healthy people. The smoke cancellation device continued running for the next 2 hours without making the situation considerably better. At that point, we all went to the same hotel manager again. With the time being after 9 pm, we agreed upon moving back to our initial room with the promise that the safe would be fixed next morning. Again packing, moving and one more unpacking. So instead of enjoying our stay, we spent the whole first day solving problems. The next morning we were informed that the technician would not be coming that day as well. Going for a day walk downhill into the city, we therefore had to carry our valuables with us. 3. The water in the indoor swimming pool was unpleasantly cold, reminding me of a pool in my high school many years back, but not in a 5-star hotel. 4. Contrary to what we experienced in any other hotel with a Spa, there were no refreshing drinks in the Spa zone in Mirador. 5. Even though we specified the age of our child upon booking the hotel, the only bathrobe we received for our child was clearly too big: it would have probably fitted a young man twice that age. 6. During our dinners in the hotel restaurant, I was always doing decent tipping for the waiters. Yet in the last evening of our stay, the waiters forgot  the main dish for my wife. There were fewer visitors that evening and the waiters were all the same, but they were mostly busy by the other tables. After waiting for 2 hours and observing our child literally falling asleep right there, my wife decided not to wait any longer, hungry as she was. With that experience of ours, I cannot recommend tipping waiters in that hotel, as you cannot count on a better service next day anyway. To summarize on our experience, let me say in my wife's words during our first day: "If not for our child whom we promised a vacation with swimming, I would have persuaded you to leave this hotel right away".

The rooms (junior suite prestige) are awesome. The space is optimally distributed. Definitely the best room with the amount of m2 of all the equivalent rooms I've experienced so far. Service is good. Hotel is very dog-friendly. Rates for canine companions are reasonable & they are provided with cushions in room & water wherever they go. They are allowed everywhere except SPA area so long as they are on leash. The few things I'd say could improve: - tv/sound system. Speakers in the bathrooms don't work. Speaker in room far from optimal sound. - the sun shades on the balcony are VERY noisy. Food wise, starters, sushi & dessert at Hinata were very good. Ramen less so. Room service dishes aren't bad (didn'tfind the announced apricot pickles on vegetable dish. Dommage). The bread is sometimes crispy sometimes less but service is always friendly and quite fast. Tiramisu seemed to have gelatin, which wasn't great. Breakfast selection is good. Dis not have a chance to test SPA area or services. All in all a lovely place.

Location is astonishing and if you as an comparable to any other places in the whole Europe. This place worth a visit for anyone who is passing by this lake, and the service of the coffee in the hotel is very good. They don’t have multiple options however, the quality of the service and the taste is matching the five stars rating. I fall in love with Vevey. don’t forget to join my 8.7 million viewer.

Very poor breakfast for a very high surcharge, the cook warmed up previously cooked pancakes instead of baking fresh ones. I have not seen this even in 2 star hotels or B&B. The view from the balcony is amazing, everything else is some kind of joke. It’s nice that there are a lot of good restaurants in the city nearby and uber eats works well.

This review is an attempt at a thank you to the staff of La Mirador. I rarely write a review, however the experience here has left me wanting to express my adoration of this place. The amount of genuine kindness and excitement the staff exhibits in providing service is unmatched. Daily as we left and returned the staff appeared happy to see us. Everything we requested was met with a smile and and a quick yes. We were able to get last minute reservations at a restaurant due to the Rade at concierge. And the hostess at said restaurant had us laughing when we told her that Rade was amazing and she looked us in the eye and said "He is very good, but I'm even better." On our final day the manager found us at breakfast and asked if he could give us a gift of champagne for our last evening at the hotel. Beds were soft and pillows perfect. Accommodations were lovely. The view was phenomenal with panoramic Alps, villages and lake as far as the eye can see. Additionally the tram into town leaves from the hotel driveway. What could be more Swiss than a tram down the mountain to the town center? It could not have been more perfect.

The room view is amazing, I can't describe it. The staff was helpful and kind. The breakfast was delicious and various.

This hotel is absolutely not worth the stay. I don’t understand how it is considered 5 stars, it extremely old and the service is one you could expect at a 2-3 star hotel. The food is mediocre at least, in all their establishments. The view is the only reason you would go to this place and I would thus suggest a day visit for coffee - not even for lunch.

Lovely place. Very friendly staff. Absolutely exquisite views overlooking the lake. Rooms are small but would definitely come back here again! Thank you to the amazing Mirador staff for hosting me and my husband here! :)

Best hotel experience ever and so refreshing after an awful one I had. The room was spotless and stocked full of goodies to enjoy. They also include a free minibar full of soft drinks that is topped up every day. Ample parking and free funicular tickets to enjoy the Vevey and the lake below.

This hotel is heaven on earth. Simply spectacular from the service to the rooms to the view. The patio is breathtaking & the rooms are large with no detail or amenity spared. I cannot wait to return and spend more time here. Highly recommend.

This is not a 5 star hotel. Rooms are horrible. Carpets are old, outdated ams badnin the rooms. Decor is decades old. Location is terrible and not even close to be in montreaux. Ownership is greedy and does not put money back in the business. But staff is amazing. Everyone working there is courteous , kind and hard working.

Been recently at the bar lounge. Almost empty. Slow and confusing service. Nice view of the lake, but that's all. Poor and expensive food and drinks menu. No access to the pool area unless you pay 100 CHF per person. Better and cheaper places to enjoy the same view elsewhere...

If I could give this 0 stars, I would’ve done that. I don’t understand how this hotel is 5 stars and haven’t gotten sued from what I have experienced in about 24 hours. -the most shocking thing is that we ordered breakfast for room service and the coffee was cold and when we finished eating we found there was a little cockroach underneath the table cloth that had the food and was crawling around. THIS IS REALLY EMBARRASSING FOR A 5 STAR HOTEL AND FOR FOOD THAT IS EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IT IS! I mean if you want to make your food expensive at least make sure it deserves it and that you don’t have a roach crawling underneath your table cloth. Where is the cleanliness? I don’t understand??? -The metallic toilet tissue paper holder was not placed properly and if you tried to move the tissue from the holder, part of the holder falls and it is heavy that it could injure someone, and is a threat especially to little children! -we asked for an iron, and they gave us one that is broken and it is so obvious that it is broken that even a blind person can recognize that! -the coffee maker had a smell of something burnt -the ac stops working if you open the doors to the balcony which could be inconvenient and at first we had trouble in turning the ac back on as we did close the door but the ac did not turn back on.

I like what they did by expanding the rooms and areas. We were greeted friendly at the reception, but I felt like they were taking the piss out of us by sending us down some stairs to get to the café because no one was there to recieve us (3 min +). View is still beautiful, but dry cleaning for staff has to be improved and the training for English was very low. Not like the times I interned there during kempinski times.

We recently had the opportunity to stay in two excellent LHW properties in Lausanne and Vevey. I have previously reviewed the superlative stay in the Hotel Royal Savoy in Lausanne. This short review covers our overnight stay in Le Mirador in Vevey. The astounding views of the alps and the lake from the property were breathtaking from the moment we stepped into the property. As the Mont Pelerin gondola was not working during our stay, we took the bus. With the Vevey transportation card provided, it was really easy to make day trips in the Vevey- Montreaux region. Our booking was made with my LHW membership. We were very lucky to have been upgraded to a junior suite with the most gorgeous drop-dead lake and alps view. We were aware some rooms may look grandmotherly, but the room we had was modern in design, well appointed and furnished with modern amenities. Shower strength was great, as was the housekeeping standard. Room insulation was perfect - we had quiet sleep during our stay. Service was also excellent. From check-in to check-out, everyone had a smile and we were warmly welcomed by the front desk. Perhaps if we could have one more day to enjoy the views would be perfect, and we cannot wait to return back. If there was a point to note, I felt the pool was rather cold, especially during our stay when the weather was bitterly cold. The pool could be better heated to provide a better swimming experience.

A beautiful hotel and the location is great, the view is amazing. The facilities are fresh and stylish. The thing that stood out for me was the staff and service, always a smile and keept the right level of "presence", very professional in other words.

Best hotel I've ever been to. The hotel is extremely beautiful and luxury, but not dated. Modern, organized, attentive staff, excellent breakfast. The lake view is breathtaking. It is a few steps from the cable car station.

My friend and I had an amazing stay at Le Mirador. We were able to enjoy many of the offered amenities including the restaurants and spa. The concierge service was next level. From the moment we arrived and throughout our stay, Mr. Ruleski, made us feel so well taken care of. The rest of the staff was just as exemplary, from the hosts to the servers to the spa staff to the cleaning staff to the driver, all treated us as if we were royalty. Many of them served many roles and it was a pleasure to see their familiar faces throughout our stay. The views from our room were breathtaking and there was convenient transport into town where we took several lakeside walks. Would love to return to this lovely place.

Magnificent view but bad food and bad service that I would not expect in an establishment where you pay 800 USD / night. Waiter in the Piano Bar was visibly stressed and not very pleasant as they were two to serve the terrace full of guests who came up to enjoy the view on a sunny day. We had to wait for everything so in the end, instead of a quick lunch we spent almost two hours in the bar. The food was below average for an above average price, not to mention the poor presentation comparable to a fast food. The terrace has very little sun protection so after 10 minutes you feel really hot and uncomfortable. The personnel refused to move an open one of the few parasols available on the terrace. The same situation for the spa terrace, not enough parasols, impossible to reach the restaurant by phone to order some drinks. We left dehydrated and disappointed.

The best location in Vevey. The view over the lake and Alps is unique. We spent a weekend here almost not going out from the hotel. There is a great spa and fitness center! The staff is very professional and takes care of the guests since their arrival. Great breakfast!!! The room was very spacious, bright and comfortable. Probably there should pay a little bit more attention when cleaning and preparing the room for the new guest as we found some dust on desks and lamp. Otherwise was all fine and we had a fantastic stay.

Nice place in an excellent location. Very large complex with intricate layout, provided it is built on a hill side. Junior suites are neat and large, with a spacious terrace and amazing views. Deluxe rooms in the msin building are smaller but still nice. Good SPA and fitness area, though finishing materials could be of a better quality. Overall the hotel is in good condition, but requires some renovation touches here and there. Also failed to understand how the heating and ventilation system should work, as it was resetting to default quite often and cooling down the room

For a 5 star hotel the breakfast buffet was beyond disappointment as the menu is super tiny cheese eggs cold cuts and some fruit. The same as a standard hotel would offer, there isn't anything appropriate for veggies or celiacs. Very disappointed.

We stayed for 4 nights. Overall we had a pleasant experience but too many little things that made me give a 4 star rating. Firstly when we arrived there was no on to help with our bags or even ask to help park the car. But we did have a pleasant warm welcome from reception. That view as you enter the reception is amazing. They offered to make us a reservation at the hotel restaurant. It seems the Japanese restaurant is closed until June. They also made us a reservation for wine tasting. I had no response from the email (they need to check their spam folder more frequently) but had to ask at the reception. The view from the hotel room 210 was amazing. There was no hot water the first morning. It was sorted out about 3o mins later after a housekeeping and technician visit. Also the room only had decaf coffee capsules. Also disappointed with the provided shampoo and shower gel considering they have a givenchy spa. Room service needs to be improved. We ordered a well done no pink burger but this came pink. For the room breakfast we ordered, the selection of Danish pastries came without Danish pastries. Though a pale couple of Danish pastries were taken to the room later. Same with the spreadable cheese. They prepared a bed and bowl for the dog but unlike other 5 start hotels no treat! We had a few drinks at the bar and the staff were friendly. The hotel seemed empty, something was missing. Had some food at the terrasse as well but service was a bit slow. Also around 8 am one morning there was a lot of noise coming from the next room, upon calling reception they said oh there are Jo guests in that room but the maintenance were doing some work. The noise did reduce but not completely gone. This is just unacceptable.

Very nice hotel with amazing view! I strongly recommend trying their Japanese Hinata restaurant, the food and the service are excellent! Without mentioning that this restaurant has also a terrace with the same amazing view! We loved it!

Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly without exception. Beautiful place and a relaxed atmosphere. The scenery is amazing, go and just stay without moving, you can't be more relaxed than this. Enjoy a mini ride to town and walk on the boardwalk. Full of cafes and shops and museum for those that wish to run around.
