It's a pretty hotel, lovingly decorated with Charlie Chaplin posters and self-made cardboard cutouts. The staff wasn't overwhelmingly welcoming, but we weren't looking for that much interaction, either. It didn't stop the service from being satisfying. The room we stayed in was quite small and the exit to our building led directly through the Cafe, which was a little bewildering at lunch times etc. I understand though that their main revenue is the Cafe currently, what with people still wary of travelling. The Cafe itself had amazing coffee and lots of sections outside, parted with plants and a little pavillon-ish thing over hung with grape vines.

Close to the Chaplin museum (3 min by car) and with just a 15 min walk to the lake a great place to stay. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere of the Restaurant is great. Also the food is high quality. We were happy to stay there and enjoy the Swiss Romand charm.

Sehr gutes Essen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Die Zimmer waren ebenfalls gut eingerichtet. Tiptop für eine kleine Motorradtour durch die Westschweiz. Kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Would visit the restaurant again but not the hotel. Rooms seemed outdated and very small.

Lovely ancient restaurant with a warm, cosy atmosphere, close to the main sightseeings around (Chaplin's museum, Chaplin's parc), really efficient service. Delicious food. Seems like a very popular place among the locals.

Stylish old hotel. Restaurant serves very good food. Rooms are small but clean. Staff does not speak English, but communication works somehow. Church across the street (expect loud bells)

Nice small rooms with a good view. However the location was right next to a church that starts ringing it bells at 6 am. Friendly and helpful service.

Very nice restaurant with a beautiful terrace in the Sumner. Food is good, service too. Prices are a bit high but comparable with other similar places in this area.

This hotel is a nightmare! I don’t like nothing in this hotel and restaurant. When we checked in the manager said that we need to pay in check out. But then came to our room at 23:45 (photo of bill attached) when we’re sleeping already. And said that tomorrow they don’t work and we need to pay now. Now I understand that all stuff planned to have fun and drink all night this why they don’t plan to work next day. There is no air conditioner in room so you need to sleep with open window. Stuff was drinking alcohol, singing and listening music very loud at 03:30am till 06:00 all warning about police was ignored. They did’t even clean table after themselves. What about restaurant. We reserved table at restaurant at 21:00, when we came stuff told us that they don’t have place for us and we need to wait in line and come back after one hour. I’m not recommend to stay here especially with kids. They don’t respect any human rights.

Der Service im Restaurant war super - sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war lecker und zu einem ortsüblichen Preis angeboten. Das Hotelzimmer war für das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis etwas zu teuer, war aber insgesamt in Ordnung, wenn man nicht allzu viel Komfort erwartet.

Heute hier gegessen. Hat super geschmeckt. Rinderfilet auf dem heißen Stein war ein Gedicht. Sehr nette Bedienungen.
