Lights and shadows. The hotel has very nice rooms size is ok. Bed confortable, nice shower, small tv and in our case, terraze. Hotel is in a calm place but is not calm, we have arrived on a Friday and we leave on a Sunday. On Saturday was a celebration party, where they had speakers very loud directly in the garden. We couldn't rest at middleday. We have complained but the music was getting loud after an hour. We have dinner in the restaurant on friday afternoon, the food was ok but my risotto was far from being tasty. The hotel has an own parking which is very good. The public transport conection to the city is very nice but in 15 min walking you are in the center. I recomend to check the timetables to come back by bus or funicular. The public transport is included because they provide you a ticket for travelling. The service is ok, but one worker from the Saturday afternoon shift has answered me very badly, her name was Jasmin. This person should not be working in my opinion speaking with clients. Her college that nigh was very kind and understood the situation, managing the situation very calm. This is definitely the worst experience with a hotel service I ever had.

Must have been in summer mode. The hotel is quite nice. Situated high up overlooking the town. But the room was average at best and they don't have air conditioning. Small room with a window overlooking the entrance, with a very basic bathroom. It did have a fridge, which was nice. People rave about the restaurant, but after seeing the prices we decided to eat elsewhere. Almost 40 Swiss francs for a main course was just a commitment we were not willing to make. Especially since the man serving was the same man tending the reception. We did have breakfast though, which was also on the pricey side. Very nice juice, coffee, hams and bakeries, but no eggs and a limited supply of everything. The juice was gone after another greedy couple emptied the whole carafe into two full glasses and did not get refilled. So tasty, but minimal sums it up. At check out there was no staff to be found for over 10 minutes. Even though I went through the entire ground floor shouting like an idiot. This was an underwhelming experience on the pricey side. They rescued a third star with the tasty breakfast (though minimal) and ease of parking.

Amazing staff. We arrived on our bikes in the pouring rain, the restaurant was closed for a private party unbeknown to us. However having entered the hotel, the owner welcomed us in saying he'd forgotten to lock the door and was only too happy to provide us with drinks and a lovely meze of cheese and cold meats before we went on our way but not before he kindly gave us a complimentary bottle of wine from region. Top marks👌

We came here for lunch during the week and loved it. Starter and main course for 20.- with nice service and a great view. Come here for a good glass of wine, a great meal or to stay the night. Can highly recommend.

I have been visiting this restaurant many times (on my own, on businesses, with family) since it has recently been refurbished, and will keep going back. If you’re looking for an escape from the sometimes busy shores of the lake (And it will be during La Fête des Vignerons 18/7/19 to 11/8/19), if you like genuine well cooked food and care for super friendly staff, then look no further, give this place a try! During week days they propose a set lunch (menu du jour) always fresh and great value for money (20-25 Swiss Francs). There will always be the a la carte option. You will have the choice of well stocked international wines however I would suggest you succumb to the temptation of the Lavaux and Valais wines; ask the staff, they know their stuff and will be of good guidance. Bon appétit!

Friendly staff, nice decor and kid friendly. The menu is small, complicated, over seasoned and very over priced. We struggled to pick a dish we actually wanted. Good selection of local wines. Not what you’d expect from a local hotel and village restaurant. We won’t be back for this menu.
