I order a plain waffle and a hot dark choco with full cream milk. Hot choco here was so good, I could feel the creaminess and hot choco was not too sweet - hits the spot. Yet, I don’t rec the waffle cz it was too sweet and the sauce was sweet as well :)) Insta: @claire.trh

Coffee and hot chocolate hits the spot quite nicely for me but the desserts are only ok. Pancakes I had here were like they were just taken out of the packet and served with ice cream. Wasn't terrible but not nice.

Open, airy setting with an expansive list of dessert options. I had the Italian hot chocolate, which was deliciously thick, although it didn't quite have the same depth or richness as those from competitors. My husband's 80s chocolate milkshake was lots of fun, with molten chocolate dripping over the ball or icecream on the top. Is it the most gourmet chocolate shop around? No, but the offerings are solid and it's a peaceful place to take a break. I'd come back.

If you want to spend $18 on 3 cold golden circle pancakes you could buy from Coles for a fraction of the price, coffee was burnt the only positive was the fruit on the sides of the plate Do not recommend!!

Nothing particularly outstandingly delicious, but the Belgian waffles and chocolate pizzas remained a couple of favourites of mine. Service wasn’t the best, and it could get really crowded at times inside, but overall a nice dessert spot located strategically in the middle of Melbourne CBD.

Very nice macchiato served here, very hot and just the right amount of espresso. Their desserts are really tasty and they have a few to choose from. Doesn't get super busy and the service is very quick.

Explore famous chocolate dessert creations such as the Chocolate Fondue for Two, Tutti Frutti Waffles and Decadent Pizzas. Try iconic drinks like the Suckao (a do-it-yourself hot chocolate experience), Max’s classic hot Chocolate in the original cocoa bean shaped Hug Mug and Icy Choctails in the famed Alice Cup.

Great place to chill and rest with a nice cup of hot chocolate. Cafe-like atmosphere where you can choose to sit indoors or outdoors. Decent crowd at 2pm on a public holiday The staff at the counter was friendly and my hot chocolate was served quickly. I highly recommend getting the dark chocolate hug mug, it was delicious.

A quick share late lunch, two dishes arrived separately with sweet dish being first

We had the triple chocolate pancakes and the chocolate pizza. Although the pancakes were delicious, the pizza was below average and did not worth the money at all. The pizza base tasted like it was undercooked or just out of the freezer, reheated. We paid $25.99 for the pizza, and it definitely did not worth the money. Way too overpriced. The service was a bit slow.

I hadn’t been here in so long, and the food was just as good as I remembered. The atmosphere there was not great, it was a very dead spot compared to the surrounding shops and there was milk bottles left lying around, but again, really loved the food and drinks.

Suckao was awesome with a creamy chocolate to add to form chocolate milkshake. The presentation and experience was good. Mocha classic was good too.

Recently renovated to include additional indoor seating areas. Good number of outdoor seatings. Water is self-serve. Ordered the chocolate fondue for two and it did not disappoint. We were thoroughly enjoying ourselves. The chocolate drinks were great as well. Will definitely come back for more.

Pleasant hang out for desserts. Ambient was slightly noisy but desserts were good if you like sweets :) We got the waffle platter and chocolate crepe cake.

Very crowded and busy when I visited on Sunday night maybe due to long weekend. Hot chocolate in a hug cup was just right. The tiramisu was ok.

Me and my other half went to try Max Brenner dessert bar and can I say it lacked customer service, when we sat down we where excited to eat what we had Ordered when the first plate come out we where given no cutlery or plates to eat the meal with then other plate come out and we were given a spoon after this we had to ask to be served with a knife and fork. It was only when the boss came up to us to ask which ladies served us she then said they should taken our dirty dishes away from us when given us our meal. This was terrible service that we have ever experienced and we will not be returning due to the lack of communication between the staff and their customers. Overall we spent $85.75 and were not satisfied with the taste of the food and service in general.

Service is terribly slow and incompetent. Waited 30+ mins for our orders, didn’t even tell us anything. I had to ask twice until they finally admitted they gave our orders to someone else. The first time I asked they only said that we need to wait. When the food arrived the waffle was absolutely stale. Gave an extra star because the crepe was good.

Every Friday night roughly 830pm me and my friend go and grab a cuppa at your shop always to perfection and the way we like it. Thank you for the Friday night crew for the quality of service you stand out in comparison to all the other coffee shops in the CBD⭐⭐⭐⭐

One of my favorite Chocolate café in Melbourne! Located in one of the busiest Shopping Mall in Melbourne, Max B delivers great products with great ambiance. I’ve tried most of their products and i loved almost all of it! Huge fan of their milk chocolate series. Their waffle is also so sooo good (add an extra ice cream). Superb 👍🏻👍🏻

The register has to stop taking order to prepare a plate as well so the line went super slow. Price is expensive for it sizes. Hot chocolate I got is super foamy so you can see a lot of bubble on it. Nice to try onec in a very long time.

I always go to get the coffee and desserts with my family. The staff really friendly and helpful. Recently, they have changed the die in system to using the QR code and it's easy and fast. Staff recommend us to put the orders though new system, it's so convenient. But, I was there when got one lady customer started to scream to the staff on Sunday afternoon. I feel really sorry to the staff. From the previous post I don't see any rude staff there based on my experiences. I think people should make yourself have more empathy and humanity to all the hospitality staff. They are working and trying to give you a service. Be patient people!
