Went camping. New ablution buildings. New power outlets and braais. Place is well maintained. Some game to see as well. A fisherman's dream. No swimming pool, but that's okay, we cooled down in the dam. The wind can be a bit annoying if not prepared for it sometimes. Accessible with a car. Many many campsites to choose from.

Ha a great fishing experience but we payed for power and there was no power. Maintenance to the ambitious blocks was poor, toilets over spill and no toilet paper available. If you want to go ant camp at Doorindraai you better go prepared. There is beautiful facilities but none is in working order and remember no power, so no light and no warm water. My experience was great for fishing but very poor for camping, especially when you pay for facilities and then find it is none operational.

Beautiful setting in a nature reserve, and the dam is at full capacity. However, services at the campsites are poor, eg, some electrical points dont work, electricity is unstable, no hot water in the ablution facilities and maintenance and upkeep is poor.

Beautiful setting but needs hands on supervision. Had no warm water in the ablutions and ablutions were not cleaned until we complained about it just before end of the day. There was no t/paper in the toilets and no soap in the soap dispensers. Gardens need tending. Lots of potential but seems to be slipping

Just spent the long weekend there. What a beautiful piece of nature but spoilt by poor maintenance all over. The rubbish collection points (cages) are dilapidated and the monkeys and baboons have a lot of fun raiding and spreading rubbish all over the resort! The bathroom block at Sering camp has the potential to be superb, but the lack of maintenance causes this block to be a health risk and basically unusable. Also it seems that the facility is too small to handle the pressure from visitors. People now use the veld where they can. Who ever is responsible for the management of the facilities at Doorndraai should be replaced by a competent person. Apparently it is the same for all the ablution facilities including the private camp. It is really a sad situation. There should also be a separate motor-boat/jet-ski area to the angling area. The area closer to the dam wall is not frequented by anglers and well be well suited for motor boat enthusiast. I really hope somebody with Limpopo government adresses these issues.

Camp is in a good condition considering it has not been used much due to low water levels for the past couple of years. Water levels have come up due to good rains 45%.

Very nice campsites but there's a lot of monkeys, you won't enjoy your food in peace. The monkey when they see food they become so aggressive.

It was a great place to visit we went fishing. Currently the water level was very low approx 15% this made fishing difficult and a bit unpleasant as the water is far away from any amenities such as a toilet or even some shade. Even though we were the only visitors for the day we still had to pay the full amount to enter. The areas close to the water was muddy as the water level seems to be dropping rapidly. Fishing wasn't great either but it was still better than a day in the office. It is still a beautiful place and some wild animals all around also makes the day better. The roads inside of the camp area is very bad and I would recommend that people with small cars should rather hire a 4*4 vehicle or at least a pick up or SUV with larger tires and higher ground clearance. But overall a nice place to visit. Keeping all the pitfalls in mind.
