Restaurant has Gone downhill, Quality of the food, poor at best. Order the chicken bacon supreme with soft bacon. Bacon was burnt French fries were overcooked. My wife had to send her salad back. They prepared it a second time still not very good. This restaurant will be off our list of take out or eat in.

We drove 25 minutes to find out that it is falsely advertised as OPEN for dine-in on Google. NOT the case. It was pitch black in the restaurant and there was a girl sitting in the front and when we went to the door she said "TAKE OUT Only" Ridiculous because Armstrong's in case you don't know there's a way to FIX your DINING options right on Google, it's not that hard to HELP your customers, try it. We can't be patrons if we don't know how you are offering your food.

My family requested Armstrong’s takeout. I called and spoke to a gentleman, ordered 3 entrees, 2 with soup and one with salad, and an appetizer Saturday evening at 6 PM. I received a text at 6:17 that it was ready. I was surprised to see an empty parking lot and found out its take out only. The check out lady was curt. Said they changed to take out only 3 years ago. Admittedly I had not been there since before Covid. My bill was roughly $67. Did some mental math and the price seemed correct based on what I saw on the menu from my google search, could not find an official website. I paid cash, said keep the change (would’ve been more had she not been so cold), was handed a huge plastic bag full of food. I guess I should’ve checked it. Drove to my family’s house, arrived at 7. Come to find out that I am missing an entree. Taking up space in the bag was a loaf of bread and butter. I called the restaurant. The same lady answered the phone. She said I didn’t order 3 entrees. I did. I read the first two and order of breadsticks from a text, then added my own. She again said I didn’t. I explained I didn’t talk to her, I spoke with a man. I asked why I got 2 soups and a salad if I didn’t order three entrees and why was the bill $67. I was told that is what I ordered, the prices online were dramatically wrong, that “they’ve been trying to change them” and since I didn’t pay for it I was out of luck. No apology. She bottom line did not care and repeatedly told me it was my fault. I understand mistakes happen. I understand prices go up. Post a menu with accurate prices! Apologize! Don’t be so rude! The food wasn’t as good as it used to be. No wonder the place was dead.

This place shut down for covid and has been take out only since. What an absolute joke! This was one of my favorite restaurants in the area but I don't like or want takeout! Open the place back up for dine in already!

Absolutely awful! The calzone had a three inch piece of hot sausage in the whole calzone. No peppers or onions and very little sauce. And it’s the most expensive it’s ever been. The greens in the salad were unwashed and there was easy to see dirt and bugs throughout, so we had to discard it. How is this place in business?

It was my first time at Armstrong's. I will say that immediately I wasn't that impressed with the menu because there were not a lot of vegetarian options. There was a soup that sounded vegetarian but was actually made with chicken broth. Our server was friendly enough but the decor felt old and the cheese calzone had a sweet cheese in it which was not expected and it didn't taste the best. The decor was old and worn out. I don't think we'll be back again but the lunch menu prices were decent.

Food has been consistently terrible after 3 times of getting awful meals for my family, we will never get food from here again. Food is way over priced and of the lowest quality. Skip this place -- it's overrated, food is terrible, too expensive for terrible food. I ordered a BLT and literally got ONE PIECE OF BACON ON IT, some wet lettuce & soggy tomatoes. Soup is always cold with congealed fat, literally cold! This place is overrated. Go elsewhere!

Food has gone down hill tremendously. Do not get the Alfredo I think it’s out of a package. Prices have gone up for takeout !!! And it’s not even nice looking when you go in. They have been doing construction for ever inside. It’s like a lousy pizza joint now . Lost my business and I know my other family members warned me not to go . Sad …….

The food is ok, not as great as it used to be when they had inside dining. They are pickup only now, hence the 1 star atmosphere rating, and the prices have increased tremendously. The front desk girl is very friendly, and that's what gets the 5 star service rating.

Great food for the family. Our family had the chicken cutlet w/gravy, the cobb salad and baked ziti. All were great. Whenever we are back in town we try to go here for a meal.

We routinely order Armstrong's awesome food with generous portions every time we come back to Pittsburgh to visit family. It is a "must have" meal on at least one of the days we are with the fam. We have NEVER been disappointed! We await the day for the dine-in experience to return!

This location is NOT open for Dine In. We drove to the restaurant from PITT Airport as it was listed on-line as OPEN for Dine In and Take Out. However, we arrived, and it was not open for dine in service. We were advised that the dining room has been closed since Covid with no firm re-open date. Armstrongs has always had good food, but disappointed to make a trip to a closed restaurant.
