We traveled as a big group in January 2018. Had an excellent vehicle and guide/helpers. Secure and smooth drive through hills and plains. Logistical support and contact with the hotels was excellent with good rapport. Easy to contact and quick response before and during the trip. Only downside is their commercial interests made long detours, which was a little uncomfortable for us. They need improvement in the time management skills, but understandable as they are a young team willing to help. Definitely recommend them for trips in Lanka

We organised before our travel, our transit of one day in Sri Lanka. We found the contact of Mewan from Lakpura and he proposed an itinerary. Fabulous Itinerary !! A chauffeur waited us and stayed with us all the day. We met elephants on a sanctuary, discovered medicinal plants and took a traditional lunch before to return to the airport. Thanks to Mewan for the organization and the chauffeur for his kindness.

We bought a full Udawalawe safari package (transfer from our villa + afternoon jeep safari). The driver came 15 minutes in advance. The car was not brand new (as promised) but of good quality - which is not easy to find in Sri Lanka (it is important as our trip to the Uduwalawe was 4 hours one way). The safari jeep was of very good quality, the driver/guide spoke good English. Safari itself takes around 3 hours. We saw 20+ elephants (including a 2month old baby, hawk eagles, crocodiles, deers, buffalos, monkeys, many birds, lizards, etc. The only con I can name is that they mentioned that water was included, but it was not the case. We had a small bottle with us and it was not enough. All in all - highly recommended. Good value for money. Special thanks to Felician who managed our trip on behalf of the agency.

We bought tickets, Kandy - Ella, at the beginning of December. On January 12th, 5 days before the scheduled date, we were told there were no tickets available?!. Incredibly poor service and poor communication! I cannot recommend Lakpura LLC and only warn!

Very neat and beautiful place

We had a great time exploring beautiful minneriya national park. So nice to see the elephants in the wild and we saw plenty of other wildlife, many different birds eg peacocks, eagles, pelicans, green bee eater and painted stork as well as deer and water buffalo

Booked a YALA safari and absolutely loved the service! Mewan was amazing in all the arrangements and amila was a wonderful guide and a fabulous wildlife spotter!!!! Had an unforgettable experience:)

My wife and I went to Sri Lanka for our Honeymoon. First of all, what an amazing country. Second we hired a car and driver with Lakpura for our entire trip and I would not have done it any other way. What a great value, so convenient and worry free with the freedom to go wherever and whenever we liked. We even took the train from Ella to Kandy and our driver was waiting for us at the station. We had a great car and were comfortable the entire time. Even with 2 large suitcases, 1 small one and our carry-ons. What made it so great was our driver Upul was the best. So eager to share any information, great communication, professional and even took us to a couple of cool sights we didn't even know existed.

Horrible provider. We thought we were hiring a guide, what we got was a very expensive driver. He would drop us off in front of locations and sit in his car and wait for us. Even in the car on the way to places - no conversation. Stay away from this company, a complete waste of money. Could have hired a tuk tuk for a fraction of the cost. Would have had more fun and likely learned more about the city.

A very strange online retailer, which offers, among other things, great Spa Ceylon products - unfortunately when you order the prices are increased or the item is sold out - (which was previously still in stock..) - it then says... shipping costs are very high High.Unfortunately I can't recommend it and won't be buying there again...

We had a great day on Safari with Lakpura! It was important to me to find an ethical safari company that would respect the animals and their space. Lakpura was perfect. Everyone was very professional and made booking easy. Our guide, Ruwan, was great! He was very knowledgeable and I was able to learn a lot about the parks and different species of animals. We visited both Yala and Udawalawe. We saw a leopard, crocs, a cobra, many beautiful bird species and elephants. The elephants in Udawalawe were incredible. We had a jewellery making class in a local home workshop. The family have been in business for many generations. We saw the whole process from melting down the raw silver to the end product of making a pendant and we were able to participate in many of the stages. The family were extremely welcoming and it was a great experience. We were also able to take home the pendant we made which was a lovely keepsake
