The worst service ever I received from a banquet hall. We had our homecoming last September 2020 at Rock House and guests we not happy at all. Food was not tasty as they bragged before the reservation made and food was full of artificial flavours, we couldn't enjoy. They have not switched on the air conditioner on time, saying that we have to pay extra 10,000 to switch on the air conditioner though they said its free during recervation process. Toilets were worse than public toilets in pettah, I had to personally ask hotel management to clean washrooms during the event. Another thing was my niece had an eye injury so her father had asked ice to put on her eye. They have given a small piece of ice from the refrigerator and believe me she had an eye infection in the next day. So it's clear about their cleanliness and hygienic condition of their refrigerator. The waiters were also very rude and unprofessional.

I attended a wedding function at this venue and unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience with the buffet lunch. The customer service was also extremely poor. Many of the food containers were empty, and it seemed like the staff didn't care about the function. Additionally, I noticed that many of the staff members were using their mobile phones instead of attending to their duties. Overall, it was one of the worst buffets I have ever encountered.

A descent place to have a small family function. Very friendly service and nice atmosphere . Food is a bit average in taste. Overall really good place to have a family function.

Food taste very bad. Actually they not use burnes for buffet set. About dessert not. Good. Not recommended for the food. But place very nice. Well maintained.

Went for a home coming party. Service is not satisfactory. Served soft drinks to a table of 6. Two glasses at first and the rest of us were waiting. Nearly 15-20mints later after many reminders, came with a tray for 8 people and served to all of us again. Propose to have at least a decorated wooden fence by the edge with the lake to prevent small children going very near to the waters

Rockhouse, fondly known as 'Gal bangalawa' is a venue with a nice view, situated on the banks of Bolgoda River. It's an affordable place with good food. Due to its close proximity to University of Moratuwa, students choose 'Gal bangalawa' for some of their university events as well.

Amazing Place For Outdoor and indoor event

This placed used to be very poular for gatherings. Large area with adequate parking space. However then is not well maintained now. Garden area not clean. Inside also need reservation. Not much variety in food items .

We had our sister's wedding there in January 2024. The staff was extremely nice and friendly ready to do anything we asked for. The food was excellent and a few of the best I've tasted. The hall is comparatively small but it meets the average expectations.

Place is calm and cool with good service crew the suitable for outdoor and indoor events. Nice lake view back yard of the premises over all an average place with calm environment and quality service.

Good People, Good location. I had my wedding @ the Rock House, helped us to make our special day to be memorable. Calm and quiet place away from all the city noises. Very supportive staff. Very cooperative management. No hassles at all,Service was very good Food was nice. Clean and neat arrnagements. All reasonably priced. GALBANNGALAWA0- ROCK HOUSE. This has an entirely a different experience that you could have in Piliyandala. When we need to have a large gathering with dancing, singing and having some games and so on, I prefer this place. It's situated just adjoining the "BOLGODA RIVER" Even on a hot day you get lovely cool breeze from the river. We had a lovely family get to gather in Rock House ", which we had a lovely time. They have two large halls you can have according to the number of people you are having. I love this place for our parties with large gatherings.

Best Place for Outdoor Wedding & Events

Little bit crowded place. Almost good. Foods are not much delicious. But good for the price .. 2nd hall dont have A/C. Budget hall. Btw beautiful views and there are many places to take pictures 😉
