We really came to this beautiful place not to have fun, but to have a busy day. That was to film my latest song. The beauty of this place was a support to our filming. Also, the friendly service of the staff should be highly appreciated. The management here has been a great help to us. We look forward to coming back to this place to have fun. Great location, beautiful inside area, outside garden area and beautiful architecture, Delicious food, plenty of parking, beautiful view. It was my dream venue and I'm in love with it. Perfect for all occasions. The manager (Mr.Praveen), is amazing and was so helpful the entire way through.

Great place to spend a relaxing time out with family or friends. This location is fabulous and ideal for nature lovers. You can’t even think that you’re in somewhere close to Colombo. Staff is really helpful and professional. They keep the place clean and neat. Delicious food. This island would be perfect if there’s a separate pool for kids.

Amazing location and architecture, calm and relaxing place to spend time with family or friends. But quite unfortunately the cleanliness of the rooms need to be improved massively for the price charged. Rooms were filled with cobwebs, dead spiders and geco droppings. Also the shower in my room sprays water all over the washroom to make it extremely dirty and wet. Quite unfortunate that bad management and workers have let down such an incredible location. However I do have to mention that the food was delicious and well priced.

Excellent place, not too far from Colombo, easy drive, and the island itself is just breathing taking. Beautiful house, tastefully furnished, and just serene. The staff are extremely helpful and courteous, and Thusitha who manages it is super helpful. We were a group of 9, and had so much fun. The food is really tasty too! Check them out!

Beautiful place with wonderful staff. We felt so relaxed after our 3 nights there! Fun activities to do on the lake and lots of beautiful spots to read a book and unwind with a cup of tea. The food was also delicious! The beautiful location and friendly, attentive staff made it a very memorable trip. Thank you for having us and making us feel so at home!

I had the pleasure of staying at The Island on Bologoda. I made a reservation within one day via telephone conversation with manger Mr. Praveen. Excellent accommodation and ambiance with ongoing professional, smiling service. House keeping and the hospitality thought out property was perfect. pool was very clean and maintain well. It's has breathing taking views.specialy l would like to thank all the staff members Specially person who handle the boat. He is very responsible. Although we enjoyed a lot in Kayaking. During Kayaking they're keep the Moto boat ready in emergency. I would like to request meals should be improved upto the standards. Once again I would like to thanks Mr Praveen for his kindness and hospitality. Recommended this place to nature, pet lovers and mind relaxing travel to spend the holiday near Colombo.

An amazing getaway! Been stressed out lately and this was the perfect getaway. Praveen and his team did the absolute best to accommodate all our requests. We also had a friendly pup welcoming us when we arrived at the Island. Great hospitality and love the atmosphere. Food was beyond expectations. Highly recommend the Pol rotti, chicken curry and lunu miris combo for breakfast. I could live here ❤️ Great spot for friends and family. You will see us soon. All the best :)

A very serene and tranquil location with beautiful, panoramic views. It was indeed the perfect get away after spending several months in quarantine. We were beyond happy that this was a pet friendly location and that we were able to let our dog accompany us as well. She too had an amazing time here 😊 The hospitality was rather welcoming and generous. And so, I would like to thank Thusitha and the team for doing an outstanding job hosting us.

Absolutely amazing property. Ideal getaway for a day or two - just to relax, talk and perhaps spend endless hours in the pool or just chill on the boardwalk. It's what Hemingway would call an ideal place to sit, think and just write. The evenings can be equally serene, especially with the surrounding water...nothing can go wrong. Did someone say food? Ah! The food catered to your choice is not only vibrant in colours, it's also scrumptious to say the least. Sri Lankan culinary at its best!

It’s simply your own private island! We had a day out session with few of our office colleagues and the place was amazing. Good food and very friendly staff, Bandara and his team were very accommodating and supportive. A short Boat Ride from Ferry Road (they arrive on call), Parking was possible at the Side of the ferry road (we parked from 9 AM till around 6 PM and did not have a problem, there is a resident who keeps an eye on the vehicles courtesy of the island). The food was delicious we chose the fried rice option and it was served as a buffet (as we had 30+), a number of activities (other than the water ride options) there’s a carom board, a checkers board, Card Packs and some space for ground activities. My personal favorite was the sunset view point, it was good breeze and shade throughout the day, very peaceful and relaxing, u can simply just sit there. Overall it was a great experience, and would recommend as a good choice for a group of friends, family or anyone who would like to spend some time off the city.

The place was a very good hide out for a relaxing holiday. Staff was friendly and best in hospitality.

Calming place to visit. Not for couples. If you have couple of friends and need to spend a good weekend, chil-out away from the busy town this is the place. Vehicle parking is not the ideal situation. Have to park rodeside. Rode is private though. There is a old person to whome you can pay 200rs to take care of your vehical.

Excellent location with a beautiful surrounding. Cool wind was very welcoming when the land was very hot during my stay in Sri Lanka. Staff was very friendly and was keen to make us feel at home. Since the island is surrounded by salty water, one has to know that the tap water is salty. The island is home to many crows and they are very loud. But it is part of the nature. Our stay was very pleasent and memorable.

They were always ready to assist us with anything we needed, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable. The property itself is stunning, with beautiful gardens and an abundance of greenery all around. We enjoyed spending time by the lake, taking in the peaceful surroundings and enjoying the fresh air. The accommodation was comfortable and spacious, and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, our stay at "The Island on Bolgoda" was a truly delightful experience. The location, the staff, and the property itself all exceeded our expectations and we look forward to returning in the future. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating vacation in a beautiful setting.

The Island on Bolgoda is a hidden gem! The staff is excellent, and the food is awesome. Nestled in the middle of the lake, this serene location is a peaceful retreat. Mr. Praveen's exceptional assistance and polite demeanor added to the delightful experience. Will be back again for the 3rd time!! 🙂

A perfect Getaway from Colombo with family and friends. Offers a beautiful place with Zen Atmosphere. Super friendly and polite staff and the service was fantastic. Food was delicious and you can customize the menu to certain amount. Highly recommend for both locals and foreigners.

We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday at The Island on Bolgoda. I couldn't have dreamed of a more suitable location. To say it was PERFECT is an understatement. They catered for 40 guests. We chose a BBQ menu. There were no restrictions on what we could bring in to the Island in terms of extra snacks, drinks etc. It was super spacious for games and entertainment. There were no restrictions on the volume of the music. The staff were well trained , extremely gracious and very helpful. The Island was very well equipped and were able to whip up anything and everything we requested. It was a memorable day for every single one of our guests. It is the BEST location for any type of celebration. I highly recommend it for your next event!

We went for a family day out at this place in mid-January 2023 and we really enjoyed it. We were able to use the whole island including the villa for ourselves which gave us lot privacy and a safe environment for our kids. There were lot of activities including speed boating & kayaking which we enjoyed with well trained professional to support. Food was delicious and staff was extremely courteous. They were always ready to go that extra mile to make our stay memorable. Thank you very much Mr Praveen and rest of the staff!

It was indeed an amazing experience starting from the boat ride. The customer service was great. Talking about the food, it's all Sri Lankan and really delicious! The view from every part of the island is very natural and calming. Loved my day out in the Island on Bolgoda!

A peaceful place surrounded by the Bolgoda lake, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Had a relaxing and enjoyable day outing with the family and the lunch provided was fantastic. The view of the the sunset was a thing of beauty. Hope to be back here once again.

A truly relaxing day on the island at Bolgoda. From the moment we stepped in to the boat navigated by Bandara to reach the island, the beautiful scenery surrounding us made us feel as if we were taken to paradise on earth. We booked this small private island for a day trip & very pleasantly impressed by their hospitality & overall ambiance. Their Manager Praveen was very courteous and their cook makes very good food. We really enjoyed the calm and peace at the Island. Definitely recommended for people wanting to have a break from Colombo. This place is just 45 mins from Colombo

Honestly such a great experience. The staff was very nice and the food was amazing and had a little puppy on island we could all play with! Wanted to say thank you to the whole team at the island for making our experience very memorable and we would all love to visit sometime again soon!
