Booking a date at the hotel is successful and the reception is satisfactory. But the room facilities are relatively standard. I fail to make any food recommendations, I think because it is taken from another restaurant. Also, since the taste level of the food is very high, special attention should be paid to it.

I would like to explain my experience with Barnes Villa. They have well experienced staff and they provided very professional and friendly service. Room was very clean and fresh. Highly recommended this villa for anyone.

Stop what you're doing, you've just found your next stay in Sri Lanka. Your hosts at Villa Blanco are so wonderful you will not want to leave. We stayed with our extended family and all of the staff were a huge hit with our kids. Breakfast was a choice of western foods or the amazing home cooked Sri Lankan breakfast including coconut roti, coconut sambal, fish, chicken or vegetable curries... The place is a beautiful colonial era building with light and airy spaces. The rooms are air conditioned with large, comfortable four poster beds. The hotel is nestled in a quiet part of the Mount Lavinia diatrict, a taxi into the centre was around 20 minutes at around 300 rupees. The beach is a short walk away too with numerous beach restaurants and bars available.

The place is a colonial type villa. The prices are reasonable and the service is excellent. Place is closer to the sea which allows you to enjoy the sunset in the evening. Had a wonderful time with the family and kids. Their fish therapy suite is unique facility which has not seen anywhere apart from here. They also have luxurious rooms specially entertainment suite which facilitates you to hangout with friends and spend the day. Highly recommended

Really great deal to hangout with few friends. The area was quite nice and comfortable. People at the front desk was really friendly and helpful.

Place was good. Calm environment. Rooms are clean.washroom old. But ok(clean). Bed is comfortable. But we can hear other people walking here and there and its bit annoying. But overall worth for the price. We booked a non AC standard room 4hrs RS3300(march 2023). Friendly staff. Flexible. They'll deliver foods to the room. But foods aren't that good. They'll allow to order foods from outside too. Overall good experience.

This is a beautiful colonial house in quiet residential st situated minutes from excellent shopping rd on one side and great beach / bars on the other. Your hosts are the most wonderful team who truly want you to feel at home and cook the most wonderful local foods. In some areas it is best described as shabby-chique, but if you hear the owners story of bringing this historic building back from near dereliction in under a year, then soon you see what has been achieved and not what is left to do. In any case if we ever felt anything a problem the team had it fixed everytime without question. A true home-from-home,i would love to return.

If you are noise sensitive like me and like to have a good sleep in the middle of the city, then this is the right place. I call it the White House of colombo. It's a couple of hundreds of meters from the Mt lavinia beach and yet situated in a very quiet neighbourhood. It's very much worth the price. And my sincere thanx to Mr. Saman (the owner) who made sure that i have a good stay at the hotel & Ms/nayomi for being so sweet and kind.this will definitely be my home whenever I visit colombo.
