I have just returned from a trip to Sri Lanka (my first visit) and can honestly say that it would not have been the same without the amazing Butterfly team. They were so friendly, knowledgable and made my trip really memorable. We took a street food tour in Colombo which was a lot of fun, they showed me hidden gems of the city i wouldn't have found on my own, introduced me to all sorts of delicious Sri Lankan street food as well as having lots of laughs along the way. I can't recommend them highly enough.

We reached out to Butterfly for help in planning a complex trip to Sri Lanka, involving 14 days quarantine and a long list of requirements. Butterfly replied straight away and their service, responses and organisation have blown me away. Whenever we needed anything, I just WhatsApped James and he always replied within minutes - even late at night (including one time at 3am when we were turned away from our flight). Nothing was a bother for James and he made the entire experience stress free and smooth. We also discovered that their prices were about 50% lower than booking direct, due to their relationships - so it wasn't just easier, it was cheaper. I wish Butterfly Vacations were in every country! We will be recommending them to everyone planning a trip to Sri Lanka.

Absolutely brilliant. Our trip was slightly different as we wanted to go to some unusual places that our driver had never been to before, but he always managed to get us there. We also stayed in a couple of hotels that were not the norm for these types of tours. Kiara sorted everything for us and we know that we made things difficult and really appreciate all the extra work we caused. Can't rate butterfly vacation's high enough and would certainly use them again. Thank you for a fantastic holiday.

We have just returned from 16 wonderful days touring Sri Lanka. Our group of 6 booked a private escorted touririya through Australian company TravelJust4U and their close association with Butterfly Vacations in Sri Lanka ensured completely seamless and professional service at every stage of the tour. Our tour guide Priya was a first class operator who was not only extremely knowledgeable, but also extremely well organised. Priya's little "surprises" every day added to our experience. Our 20 seat bus ensured plenty of room to spread out and the bus crew of Amila (driver) and Kalum (assistant) kept the bus spotless throughout the tour. The Hotels used were all top class, but the Water Garden Hotel in Sigiriya was one of the more unique luxury stays that we have experienced. Most days were half board and the evening meals included were usually 5 course gourmet standard. We were aware that Sri Lanka was experiencing political unrest before we left Australia, and whilst we saw a few peaceful protests, these were few and far between and mainly in the larger cities of Galle and Colombo. At no stage did we feel threatened or intimidated. I think that the Sri Lankan people were happy to see tourists again and we were made to feel most welcome everywhere that we went. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country & Butterfly Vacations organised such a wonderful trip for us. Everything was perfect, from the flower we were given each morning, to the local words we learnt every day, including the song that was a hit with us. Our bus was comfortable & very clean & our driver Amila, bus assistant Kalum & guide Priya were exceptional & looked after us so we’ll. I would like to highly recommend Butterfly Vacations to all people that are thinking of travelling to Sri Lanka. Pryia was our guide along with Kalam bus assistant and Amila our fabulous bus driver were simply amazing. The attention to detail was awesome from a special flower each day to a special surprise every day. Which included visits to small local families to cocktails at sunset plus many more. Management met with us and catered to our every need.

We are pleased with the exceptional services provide by James and his team. Milroy our driver was friendly and easy going and communicates well. The van was clean and comfortable. The airport manager Deshan was great and walked us through to our check in on our return flight, we never expect him to guide us but it helps us a lot as we were confused with the check in at the airport. Our Sri Lanka round trip was a great mix of nature with hikes and elephants, culture with religious memorials, tea plantations and cities. The highlight, however, was our guide Priyantha. A very warm-hearted person who gave us an authentic and knowledgeable introduction to his country. In particular, the daily stops for lunch and tea in local stores were brilliant! Thank you very much!
