Amazing lively waterfront with something on the whole day. Live music, singers, performers make it a great place anytime if the day. Small interesting shops & stalls with interesting bric a brac. Great dining options. Perfect for lunch, snacks or dinner

The Douro Valley River Cruise was an outstanding excursion! It was a seven-hour boat ride up the River viewing the many bridges and passing through locks, which included Europe's tallest river lock and concluded with a tour/tasting at a local port wine producer's facility, which was followed by the 90 minute air-conditioned bus ride back to Porto. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

You can't miss this magic place when you're visiting this wonderful city. So much art, architecture, taste and scent that you won't want to leave this place ever again! Looking for good music? Good food? Good scenery? Drinks? A magical place for magical moments? Don't look too far because this is the exact place where you can find and do all that!

You can actually taste the history of this beautiful place. Lots of cultural events along the river, music and souvenirs will make this visit unique and magic. Sunset by the river is very recommended!!!!

Porto Ribeira is a place to relax and take in some scenery, also has seating areas. Both appealing during the day and at night times. Fantastic people and good places for food, pizza's are lovely from the restaurant just off the main concourse.

It is a nice area for a walk or for a run (although, there are many tourists, even in the spring time). The sunsets here are amazing and it really has this great vibe going on with the street musicians, local restaurants and of course, the view to the world famous Luis I bridge.

A great place to wander around, drink in the atmosphere, order a Super Bok (beer) and people watch. Listen to the ever changing buskers and throw them some change, as they are better than some professionals. A great vibe and lovely people.

We loved this area its full bars and restaurants. It has lots to do and see all the historical sites are worth a visit if you can fit them in. The weather was a bit wet but this did not take away from our stay Be mindful there are a lot of hills so bring a go pair of walking shoes or trainers. Don't forget to try the traditional tarts and sandwiches.

Easily the best neighborhood/tourism area of Porto with the river and everything that's going up, down and around it. When we were there in early January it was cool enough for a light jacket as we explored both sides of the River Douro, there's plenty to do and see on the opposite side so give it a chance including bars, restaurants, market stalls selling local bits and bobs as well as the cable car entrance. This is a must, I'm not great with heights so had a couple of beers for courage but ultimately loved the journey up and down, even got a photo taken and I do recommend this... For 10€ they put the picture in a lovely picture book off Porto, a momento in glad we brought home. The bridge here is stunning! Highly recommend visiting Porto but especially Ribeira do Porto!

Beautiful views. Nice wide range of restaurants and bars to choose from. Several buskers, and people selling souvenir photographs or items, but not overly loud or busy

Amazing area with beautiful colourful houses and vibrant vibes. Perfect for a walk, and very accessible and close to city center. Avoid eating here as it is the most touristy place in Porto and every restaurant is crowded and overpriced

Absolutely breathtaking views from this street overlooking the other side of the river as well the iconic bridge while figuring out how the engineering was built back then with double platform for pedestrians and metro trains passing by. Here, you can also witness the UNESCO site of oldtown Porto with unique housings developed in between hills and steps of stairs.

Lovely 3 day visit.. lots to see and do. Plenty of history, if you don't mind the hills.. cable car and boat trips highly recommended and visit the Cathedral.. only down side was the lack of restaurants that served food that wasn't tapas or fish.

Douro is the bigest 100% Portuguese river (Teju is comming from Spain). For a great experience you can take a river trip for 40 min, 18 EUR and enjoy the view!

The ride on a ferry which shows you the historical Porto is magnificent. I loved the fact that the guide was in English and was explaining all the significant bridges across the river. Highly recommend this!

Not the best hard rock cafe I've been to. The premises was not what you would expect very dull with a few rock souvenirs. The staff were energetic and the only highlight of the visit.

You have to walk here as part of your walking tour. Suggest to walk here at dusk when it’s cooler and enjoy the night sky.

Nice place to see Porto's activities with crowd of tourists. Many restaurants, cafes and bars along the Riverside. Local's attractions such as music and magician. Boat cruise easy to find to see Porto from both side. We find very good local Restaurant and it's so delicious. We stay at very nice place with beautiful views to river. We enjoyed our time during visit Porto.

Lovely, great view during the day and also at night. It's a tourist area, so it's full of expensive places to eat and drink. I just don't understand how such a famous place has no public toilet available... or anywhere the toilet are paid or requires consumption. Portugal needs to improve that

Lots of tourists, it was a Sunday. Sabado vibes. Roasted chestnut smoke. Seagulls, very cool views regardless of the weather, probably during the golden hour or during sunrise/sunset it is breath-taking. Inhale, pause, exhale.

Good boat ride of the six bridges. Difficult to find the exact dock as there were two that were 100 metres apart. You must print out a ticket at one of the port desks if you buy online. No instructions on how to do this. Otherwise a great experience.

Very busy square next to the river. Loads of bars and restaurants. Buskers blast out their music. Sat in bar Bohemia for 2 pints of Sagres. First bar selling this. Lots of busy staff running about fueling the Saturday afternoon crowds. Sellers of tourist tat line the river bank.

Ribeira district is the riverfront of old town Porto which is right behind it in a maze of old narrow winding streets. Ribeira is very popular with both, locals and tourists with many bars, restaurants, street performers,...etc. Walking it will reward you with great views of Douro and the iconic Dom Luis bridge. However, have in mind it's a high tourist area, so you can guess prices in establishments around are higher with lower service quality. TIP: Great views of Ribeira district are from Vila Nova de Gaia right across or from the upper level of Dom Luis bridge.

Amazing Beautiful city ❤ 💙 Truly amazing place, cosmopolitan, busy, historic, picturesque... Not enough words to make it justice Vila Nova de Gaia on the other side of the Douro River.. Well worth your time

Absolutely breath taking. Porto is a definite must see city. We were there only a week and could have stayed another 3 just to take it all in.

Very nice place. Local musicians playing live. Amazing food and people around. Maybe have to wait for a seat at the restaurant but that's not a problem.
