    [General] This is a small Japanese restaurant run by a married couple. You can order it a la carte, or you can leave it to us for 8,000 yen or 11,000 yen. The restaurant itself is small with 9 seats at the counter, but it has a spacious and high-quality atmosphere. [Cooking] I asked for 8,000 yen. What's great about this restaurant is that they not only ask you what ingredients you don't like or should avoid due to allergies, but you can also let them know what menu items you would like to eat and they will arrange the course accordingly. Also, if you ask in advance, they will be able to flexibly accommodate dishes that are not on the menu to the extent possible. Every dish was carefully prepared and very delicious. In particular, the combination of vegetables was simple, but the balance between the soup stock and vegetables was wonderful. The clay pot steaming had a delicate finish that didn't take away from the goodness of the hamo and matsutake mushrooms. There aren't many super high-quality ingredients that you get at expensive restaurants, but the seasonal ingredients were deliciously prepared and I was very satisfied. Although the portion size is not large, I think even men will feel full because they eat it slowly. [Service] The host is an honest cook and will tell you about various things such as the cuisine and the sake that goes well with it. He seems to be quite a gourmet person and told me about many delicious restaurants in the city. In addition, the hostess is friendly and serves customers with just the right amount of distance. The serving timing is perfect and the food is perfectly matched to the speed of the meal. [Amount] It was about 10,000 yen for a course of 8,000 yen and 2 glasses of sake. The course name and alcohol name are clearly written on the receipt, so you can rest assured that the bill is clear and clear. Credit cards were also accepted. This is a great restaurant, not only for the food, but also for the atmosphere and service. You can leave it up to you, or I think it's a good idea to have a quick meal somewhere and enjoy the food and sake at your leisure depending on your mood that day.

    I visited here after moving from Pontocho. I wasn't able to go there due to the coronavirus pandemic, but did I improve my skills even more? The first time I visited, I received some boiled eggplant, and it was my favorite flavor of all the broth I've ever had, so I decided to come here. Now I want to come again.       No matter what I had, it was delicious. If possible, I don't want it to become so popular that you can't get reservations, but it's a restaurant I want to visit for the rest of my life. Last time, I made a reservation for the grilled eel, and it was freshly grilled, fluffy, and extremely delicious.

    4ヶ月ぶりに娘と京都、まだコロナ禍と言うこともあり、ホテルで頂けるように事前にこちらのお店でお弁当を予約して 密を避けてゆっくりホテルの部屋で頂きました。 こちらを選んだ理由は 滞在するホテルから近いこととGoogleでの口コミと直感(笑) 今回、食材のどれもが素晴らしく、私たちの舌に合った味付けで こちらにお願いして本当に良かったと思いました。 鰆の西京漬けもふっくらとした身で 穴子は口に入れると蕩けるような柔らかさ、刺し身も全て美味しかったです。 炊き込みご飯は 娘と二人では、ちょっと多かったですが、女性二人とお伝えすべきだったかな、と反省。でも、時間をかけてゆっくり味わって残さず、頂きました(笑) 鴨も手作り感あり、味わい深く、また重陽の節句の今日、菊のお浸しも添えられていて 感動してしまいました。お心遣いに感謝です! お弁当を取りに伺った時、とても清潔感と落ち着きのある店内も料理同様、優しそうなご主人の人柄が出ているなぁと感じました。 是非、コロナが落ち着いた時には お店に伺いたいと思いました。ご馳走様でした。

    お店のご主人も奥様も素敵な方で、お料理も全部美味しいです。お店が新しくなって初めて伺いましたが、とても清潔感があり、居心地がよい店内です。 今回はコッペガニ目当てで伺いましたが、どのお料理も美味しく、食べ過ぎてしまいました。ありがとうございました。また伺います。

    A wonderful Japanese restaurant where careful work shines. For better or worse, it's not flashy, so I think you'll be surprised at how delicious it is. Still, I'm grateful for the atmosphere that allows me to feel relaxed. I made a reservation at 12:00 on a weekday. Unfortunately, it was reserved from beginning to end. Judging from everyone's reviews, it seems like the place is run by a husband and wife, but on this day, the husband was the only one doing the surgery. [What I ate] Lunch omakase course ¥6500 Draft beer (medium) ¥800 Sake (glass) ¥900 There is no meat, and there are no decorative cuts or anything fancy. But I was surprised at how delicious this was. If I had to make a special mention of it, it would be the conger conger and daikon taitan. Even though I became an adult without really liking vegetables that much, I thought to myself, ``Vegetables are delicious.'' amazing. My husband is not the type of person who speaks fluently, but whenever I say something to him, he responds in a friendly manner. The atmosphere is also good. I went to see it at the recommendation of the owner of my favorite izakaya, and it turned out to be the right answer. That was too correct. I would love to hear from you again.     This is a store I've been interested in for a while. As the reviews say, this is a restaurant where you'll want to support the couple as it has a great atmosphere. I had a hard time choosing between a course and a la carte, but I went with a la carte and ate what I wanted lol The grilled eel and sweet sea bream with kelp were delicious. However, I was a little concerned about the temperature setting for the entire meal. Cold food is a little too cold. When something warm is a little warm... I felt like it would be an extremely delicious restaurant.

    A small shop with 10 seats at a square-shaped counter that you don't often see in Kyoto. The shop has a calm atmosphere and is comfortable. The chef was also very honest and gave us detailed information about the dishes he provided. In any case, the soup stock is delicious, and each dish has a unique twist, making for an enjoyable meal. As for the category, it's Japanese food...but the basics are well controlled and then devised, so there is a sense of stability, but there is also a bit of an ``aggressive'' part, and I felt that there is a wide range of pockets. This is a highly recommended shop. This time I left it to you. ●Sea bream roe The umami of the sea bream roe is locked in, and you can feel the depth of the refreshing taste, and as a first dish, it fulfills its role as well as the anticipation. ●Tuna, white sweet sea bream kombujime The kabosu neutralizes the fat in the fish, giving it a very mellow taste. Of course, the freshness is also good. - Bowl of sea bass, yuba, and peas This bowl has a Japanese flavor with a nice hint of pepper...it's a very calculated seasoning. ●Mochi pork braised pork This wonderful braised braised meat has a meaty texture and is almost evenly flavored. Not too soft...this seems to be quite difficult to make. When I asked the chef, he told me that he coated it with okara and steamed it. The whole process takes three days...there's no way it wouldn't be delicious. ●Silver cod Saikyoyaki (I forgot the photo) I think your skills will make a difference when it comes to grilling fish. In that sense, the Saikyoyaki was very delicious. There is no compromise on the garnished butterbur and tomatoes either! ●Kakiage Sakura Shrimp Dashi Chazuke If you finally offer this...it's all good. The soup stock was of course delicious, and the sakura shrimp was awesome. I would like to visit you again. Thank you for the meal.

    We stumbled upon this place while walking around the neighborhood. It was an intimate sushi bar run by two people. The chef didn't speak any English but the hostess spoke enough for us to communicate. We liked it because it felt truly authentic, and all the guests seemed like locals. The dishes were very good. Some of them, we had no idea what we were eating.. haha, but they were tasty. One dish was overly salty, though, but the course was great overall.

    先斗町のここら屋はなれでお店を切り盛りしていたご夫婦が独立されたとのことで、急遽お邪魔させていただきました。 店内はカウンターのみでとても落ち着いた雰囲気。 以前と変わらずご主人の仕事は丁寧でどの料理も美味しい。 京都を訪れたら必ず足を運びたくなるお店です。

    This restaurant is in the Michelin guide for year 2022 & 2023. Thank you to the head chef for his hard work in preparing all these delicious dishes. I'm quite pleased that though they can't communicate with me in English, they do their very best to ensure that I enjoy every course. The 1st course yuba looks simple yet it is actually quite flavourful. A good start off as we moved on to the different courses. The sashimi is quite fresh and I like the kue sashimi alot. What impresses me was that the cooked dishes, raw dishes were quite well executed. The mackerel sushi was very tasty as well. There is a clear soup for you to cleanse your palate before moving to the goma ice cream. A good meal indeed but somewhat I felt like something was missing. Will consolidate my thoughts again and do a thorough review on my instagram.

    Everything was of a high standard. In particular, the bowl dishes and grilled dishes were wonderful. The hostess's customer service is also ◎ The inside of the restaurant has a calm atmosphere and there is plenty of space between the seats, so we had a comfortable time. I would like to use it again when I go to Kyoto.

    Remarkably good meal. Served omakase-style or a la carte, the place is run by a young husband and wife team and is a really excellent experience. Prices are very reasonable for the extremely high quality of food and generosity of portions on offer. Each dish is interesting, subtle and delicious. My particular favourites were a pork dish in a sweet broth with aubergine, where the pork’s fat was melting in your mouth, and some of the best mackerel sushi I have ever eaten. Unmissable.

    It's a small kappo restaurant with only 10 seats at the L-shaped counter, but the dishes are well-seasoned and the young proprietress is very knowledgeable about alcohol. The store is also new and very clean. They accept orders for sake starting from a small choko, so it's a restaurant that's easy to visit even by yourself.
