I
cannot
recommend
this
place
enough!
We
don't
usually
stay
in
hostels,
but
had
heard
they
were
especially
clean
and
nice
in
Japan.
We
were
not
disappointed!
Firstly,
the
location
is
amazing.
It's
a
10
minute
walk
from
the
train
station,
making
it
easy
to
arrive,
and
travel
to
other
places.
It's
also
an
easy
30-minute
walk
along
the
gorgeous
river
to
the
more
touristy
neighborhoods
of
Gion
and
Pontocho.
The
staff
at
the
hostel
was
always
on
hand,
incredibly
helpful
and
friendly.
They
agreed
to
call
a
hotel
we'd
booked
for
later
in
the
trip,
to
speak
with
the
owner
in
Japanese
and
let
her
know
when
we'd
be
arriving.
This
was
one
of
the
cleanest,
brightest
places
I've
ever
stayed!
The
shared
floor
has
a
spacious,
super
clean
kitchen,
and
plenty
of
space
for
lounging.
The
top
floor
has
a
rooftop,
with
a
lovely
view
of
the
city
-
you
can
bring
food
and
drinks
up!
We
rented
a
small
private
room,
with
bathroom
and
shower,
and
were
very
happy
with
it.
You
don't
need
a
large
room
in
Kyoto
-
you
want
to
be
out
in
the
city!
Finally,
we
met
some
lovely
and
friendly
people
in
the
hostel,
while
eating
breakfast
each
morning.
If
you're
travelling
to
Kyoto,
this
is
the
place
to
stay!
