Highly recommended for a variety of clientele. Absolutely lovely staff at the Starbucks cafe and in the gym. Very friendly, very helpful and understanding to say the least. Are strict about their hygiene standards that are kept high. Ecology friendly as support using your own storage compartments for wet suits and gym clothing.

Reception lady was helpful. Rooms spacious. Immaculately clean. Really felt for the cleaners in this heat ! Wear and tear on units in bedroom. Angela at the grill was very welcoming. Arya checked if we were happy with our meal. The customers who reserved got meals quicker than us. Manager ? shouting at staff which was totally unacceptable. The meal was extortionate £16.50 for a burger, no hand sanitizer in the units around the hotel. 7/10

We booked a 2 night weekend stay, Friday - Sunday. There was plenty of parking spaces available. check in process was quick and easy. The room was clean apart from a few marks on the inside bathroom door, the bedding was clean and smelled fresh. The light in the foyer did not work and nor did the light over the dressing mirror so getting ready meant using the bathroom which was steamy and humid following showering so it was far from ideal. The bedside light switched we're a bit hit and miss too, sometimes not working the first time. The room was nice but clearly old and well used, the side table laminate has come away from the boards and it looks scruffy and is a perfect place for pathogenic growth. On the Saturday early evening the heating stopped working, there is no phone in the room so I tried the web chat which I had to download the app and sign in to access. After about 15 minutes of waiting for a human response I rang the number I found on Google because it is not available anywhere on the room. After getting through the automated system I spoke to someone who advised she would send someone to fix the heating. Shortly after a lovely lady arrived and stated that the fan wasn't working at all and said do you want me to bring you a heater. I obviously said yes, it was 7 degrees outside and going to get colder overnight. She quickly brought an oil filled radiator that needed to be plugged in so it had to be put very close to the bedside. It made the room warm enough when in bed but the room was not warm enough to sit in without a sweater and the bathroom was too cold to shower in. We were not offered a room change. Breakfast is £10 for a buffet but I only eat toast so it did not offer value for me so I used the onsite Starbucks which was ok. I did ask if breakfast was available as room service through the hotel but this was not available. We used the restaurant on Saturday evening. We ordered a burger and fries, a cheeseburger and fries a glass of water and a pint of Budweiser, it cost £35. The burgers were not freshly cooked and this was obvious due to the time between ordering and serving. The burgers were both missing advertised ingredients, on had just a small slice of lettuce and no tomato, the other had no relish and a wedge of onion which was a bit odd. The fries were ok and the coleslaw was vile, it tasted like the cheapest available. The food was nowhere near good enough for the price and I would not consider eating in the restaurant again. The drinks were good. This was our 10th year of visiting this hotel but I think this will be our last visit as it no longer meets the standards that I have come to expect and for a few pounds more per night we can stay in the city. The decline in the hotel and restaurant standards has tipped the balance so that staying a 20 minute drive out of the city is no longer worth it.

Meeting rooms in the hub were good and plenty of cold drinks on offer. Although the hot drinks machine had to get them to refill it, but they did quickly. Toilets, though only one soap dispenser had soap in it all day, and there was for some reason, toilet rolls laying randomly around in the cubicles. Hand food for lunch but no napkins supplied. Getting the basics right, would improve the rating to 5 stars. Great rooms in the Hub for meeting in, superb location from the A1 easy to find and get a parking space.

Had an overnight stay here and it was 99 percent excellent. Check in was quick and easy and the room (209) was comfortable. My ONLY critique was the tea and coffee a bit cramped on the bedside table when there was an empty corner, with a plug, which only needed a shelf or small table to make life easier. The staff were all, without exception very friendly and helpful. The bar and grill, although a sports bar ( groan from me here. 😄) is spacey, comfortable and runs with military precision. 6 stars for the staff here. Decided to eat there rather than venture out into the deluge outside. The food was quickly served and very well cooked and presented. Noticed how quickly the staff cleared away and cleaned ready for the next guests. Something other places need to learn!! Well done to everyone, we'll be back!

Worst stay in a long time. To start with, the toilet still showed the remains of the previous guest under the rim. Secondly, I was seated in the bar area for dinner. My table was cleaned, got a menu and waited approx half an hour to get serviced. When nobody came I decided to just leave and have some crackers in my room. Next morning, my booking showed up as breakfast NOT included where my agent was assuring me it was. I now had to pay twice! Never ever again I will set foot in this hotel or its chain.

Stayed for 2 nights, only because I was looking for an alternative to Premier Inn. I was hoping for something better/more interesting. My first big disappointment was mattress on the floor as an extra bed in the family room. So yes...if you are booking a family room, one of you will be sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Pushed against the wardrobe just so you could put your jackets and clothes on the floor. Thin walls won't help your kids to fall asleep, and working light switches are not coming in the standard. Big window offered a unique view enriched with a large spider web and a spider. Good luck with your stay

Stayed at the hotel. Lovely warm welcome from reception. Lovely clean bedroom and bathroom. Staff was excellent and very attentive. Food top marks . Will definitely returning in the near future.. spoke to the manager she was fantastic and very helpful. She answer all the questions we ask of her. Will definitely give 5 stars for all. Cannot falț anything from the hotel and staff.

I regret to express my deep dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs at Village Gym. The recent announcement of a membership fee increase prompts me to share my concerns about the quality of service provided, which, in my opinion, does not justify such a financial adjustment. One major issue is the persistent malfunction of the gym’s app and login systems, rendering them practically unusable. This technical glitch hampers members’ ability to access essential information and services, causing significant inconvenience. Furthermore, despite reporting an MOT-lapsed car in the gym’s parking lot for over a year, the vehicle remains unaddressed, raising questions about the gym’s commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for its patrons. The condition of the showers is another cause for concern, with outdated and unsanitary shelves, and the persistent unpleasant smell in the toilets adds to the overall dissatisfaction with the hygiene standards. Maintenance problems extend to the jacuzzi, where missing tiles are a recurring issue, and the water temperature is consistently unpredictable. This inconsistency detracts from the enjoyment of a facility that should be a reliable amenity for members. Given these ongoing concerns, the decision to increase membership fees is perplexing and seems disconnected from the needs and expectations of loyal Village Gym members. If these issues persist without swift and meaningful resolution, I, along with numerous other dissatisfied members, may have no choice but to reconsider our membership contracts. I urge the management to address these concerns promptly, ensuring that Village Gym provides a clean, functional, and enjoyable fitness environment for its members.

Booked at discounted rate on Black Friday specifically for heated swimming pool for our infant - which met expectations, though the change facilities were in need of a deep clean. The decor was acceptable, service sketchy. and quality of rooms quite basic and bland. Had to move rooms due to heating being broken and moisture on the bed, placed into an accessible room, which didn’t quite cut the mustard. Had a gander at the evening meal menu and was left disappointed by the lack of descriptions and customisation via the website/app - also very high costs as expected in these places. But Nando’s is nearby, hurrah. Breakfast was just dire. Poor service, chaotic spread, very poor quality ‘packet’ meats and egg, definitely not worth the additional cost for ordinary service charges. Discounted rate was the accepted service industry expected price, ordinary price far too high and significant improvement needed for the breakfast quality.

Great little find. Love the sports bar, plenty of large screens. Food was really good (tea and breakfast). Drinks probably a bit on the expensive side but seems like everywhere is nowadays. Location a bit out of the way but good for the white rose shopping centre. Beds mega comfy, rooms very clean, would stay again

We stayed here xmas eve till xmas day. Arrived in the evening and the lad at reception had checked us in so there was no messing about at the desk.although we didn't use the restaurant, it looked good with many different seating arrangements, sofa,TV and a separate Starbucks. The Room was great, large window with fully blackout blinds so the light does not disturb you after sunrise. Had a great sleep with a very comfy bed and clean bedding. The bathroom was clean and spacious. We had to pay £5.00 to use the spa facilities but it was well worth it. A brand new gym with top end machines and weights, 25 metre pool, sauna and steam room, changing rooms with lockers. Everything was very well maintained. Leena, the morning receptionist was very helpful and polite, I needed a coffee and she went and personally made me one. Parking was free. To get around by car was easy from this location although I didn't see much if you are on foot. I very highly recommend The Village hotel and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

I am member of the gym since over 5 years. Amazing facility, top equipment and great environment. Great service with friendly staff. Always very helpful. Special thank you to Phil which always helps with any queries and concerns. As a manager he does his job perfectly. Reception staff is welcoming everyone with a big smile. Karen, Emily, Amy and rest of the staff is amazing.

I am a member of the gym at this hotel and use the gym at least 5 times a week, I also attend a number of the classes they have on. They have a great variety of classes for members of different abilities and the trainers there really push/develop you. I would like to mention Simon especially as when you attend one of his classes you know you will get a fantastic workout and come out really better. He really thinks how the class can work for everyone and ensures he motivates/pushes people to go past their own personal targets. He is also always friendly and helpful around the gym. I would definitely recommend the gym as a place to join.

Very good place to stay for a long weekend. Food is great. Ryan and the guys on reception at the gym are very welcoming. The gym is brilliant I have personal training sessions with Simon and Lucy they have helped me achieve so much. Phil the manager is always on hand to give advice. Overall it’s a great place to train and stay.

We have a great time here. The facilities are top notch and all the staff very kind. They couldn’t do enough to make sure we are well looked after. I’m a newbie to the gym life but Phil is very knowledgeable and more than happy to give advice when needed along with his members of staff. Would highly recommend.

Its a great place to simply chill and relax. The bar has friendly staff and will happily pour you a pint or draught beer 🍺 in under 3 minutes waiting. The Coca-Cola is the bottled one and really original. Of course there is a choice so you could still opt for the diet variety. The rustic chunky chips are good but do explore other snacks. Buffalo 🐃 wings are a treat but the salad 🥗 was what I really recommend. The gym facilities add to the popularity of this place.

I have only been a member of the village gym since February 2023 and I am so glad I joined! Haven’t little to no experiences at the gym, I decided to book a few personal training sessions just to get me stated. Emily was absolutely brilliant! She went through the exercise and equipment and gave me a plan to work on whilst on my own at the gym. She has definitely given me the motivation and confidence I needed! The classes have been great too with plenty to choose from and the pool and sauna/ steam room are perfect after a good workout! Thanks guys 😊x

I've been a member of the Gym for over 10 years now, pleased to say it's constantly improving. The Gym has had a recent Refurb and is well maintained, there's a good selection of Kit. The Shower area could use some work though, and sometimes the changing rooms are looking a bit ragged. The Staff are great in the Gym, always willing to help and a good Team. They are lead well by Phil and Simon, both who lead by example. If you like Spin, Give Phil's a go. It's always Fun, Energetic and no matter what he will give it 110%. Finally got back to trying a PT again the other Day With Simon, if you haven't tried it give it a go he will always find something for you to improve and he really knows his stuff. As Hotel Gym's go, this is a very good one. If you like training when away on Business, this is the place for you. In relation to the Hotel, Never Stayed but have been in the bar / Starbucks a few times. Staff at Starbucks are great, always Friendly. The Same goes for the bar, the food can be a bit hit and miss in there though.

Member of the gym for 10 plus years, have made some great friends at the gym. Classes suit all different fitness levels and particularly enjoy dance fit with Helen, she gives you an amazing boost for the day. Staff at the gym are really helpful and friendly. Lots of organised activities outside the gym where you can get to know fellow gym members. Look forward to a coffee and chat after a class or gym session and the ladies in Starbucks give a warm welcome and are top class.

Went for a quick bite to eat during our stay and could not recommend more. Food was great with lots of options and a friendly atmosphere throughout the restaurant. Specific mention to a staff member named Lily who was extra attentive throughout and made sure everything was great for us. 5 stars

Had a great night in the pub with my partner, Alfie on the bar was excellent. He was always smiling and polite to us. We had our table cleared straight away and asked if we would like a desert and any more drinks. We took the offer for more drinks!!

Stayed here with work a few times, the rooms are big, beds comfy. Decor is starting to look a little scuffed. Some rooms have a wet room type shower some have a bath tub shower but no taps for having a bath. Nice facilities, pool, gym, Starbucks and on site restaurant. I haven't had dinner there yet but the breakfast was good. EDIT - So it turns out what I thought was a control for the bath plug was actually a tap.

Had a great stay, hotel is lovely, luxurious rooms and beds were super comfy , health suite is amazing, fab pool and jacuzzi and a really well equipped gym. Would have been good to have a fridge in room but apart from that, absolutely everything you need.

Excellent room and services! Kamal's service was exceptional and ensured that I had the best breakfast experience. I don't eat pork so he offered me vegan sausages instead and ensured I was taken care of. Will visit and book again! Happy customer!

Great location and both the hotel and gym staff are always really friendly and helpful - only thing worth noting is the gym and changing facilities are really outdated and seem rundown, staff are often cleaning and maintaining things so it's a shame that the design and upkeep of the facilities is letting them down.

took our son out on his 21st for a meal on a Sunday afternoon. The order was wrong and the food came out separately so some people were eating and some waiting for part of their order to arrive. The food wasn't very good. We took him as we have styed at various village hotels in the past and the food is always very good. Hopefully this was a glitch but i think we'll go back to Leeds North next time.

Stayed during 2 of the hottest days. Cooler was broken in my club room, spoke to reception and was brought a fan, this just moved warm air around so hardly slept, couldn't understand why I couldn't move to another club room as next door was free. Gym was nice. Really disappointed as my first trip away since covid-19 started.*edit* There were 3 other rooms sealed on my floor and never used as I checked the seals both days, so sorry not fully booked.

Visited with a friend for 2 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The room was clean, a good size and bed very comfy. The pool area was so nice and staff all very helpful. We went down to the restaurant to be greeted and seated by a lovely lady called Amy she and her team were very busy but always made sure all the customers were happy an even took our photo for us. Fabulous service and food lovely. Will be returning

Pros, brilliant pool. Helpful front desk staff. Cons, room looked tired, furniture seen better days. Not enough tea and coffee. Mirrors only cleaned up to eye level. Wire on the kettles are too short. Overpriced, for just a bed for the night. I can get a room in a village hotel for half the price, and have sky TV!

Went to a tribute act. It was a set menu, which was sent to us weeks in advance. When the first course came out it was a different starter. Soup not pate, which was nice. The main was also different and horrible. No explanation as to the changes. The dj was really good, the tribute act was OK and quite entertaining. Luckily we were in good company, so had a good time.

This would be 0 stars if possible. The only place to eat was In the bar and this was incredibly noisy, caused by people who weren't even staying at the hotel. Food was cold when it arrived and other than queuing for 20 minutes to tell someone there was nothing we could do. I paid extra for access to the pool , gym etc and for late checkout in order to use these facilities but they were closed all morning due to no hot water. This also meant we couldn't shower upon waking. Finally cleaner's were not informed of our late checkout and kept knocking on our door to clean the room, at 11am our keys stopped working. All in all the worst stay I have ever had at a village ( they are usually a pleasure to stay with). Complete waste of money and our only weekend without the kids in years. David's post below was not true at all, we went to use the facilities at 11:05 and were told they were closed. I have tried to raise a complaint with David from village hotels and he chooses to ignore my emails. Village do not seen to care about poor experiences ! .

I would rate this a ZERO !!! I joined the gym here the staff are very pleasant and professional and the classes are great. However there are a few individuals and the old man at the poolside whom I found to be very racist. I don’t think this is a gym for people of colour as they think really low of you. I had comments made to me which made me feel uncomfortable and upset. Hence the reason I never returned. And when you speak up to these bullies u get a warning and the manager Phil doesn’t even bother to ring u back. Do not join here. Horrible feeling. 😡😡😡

Good place and very lovely staff. We stay here (2 adults and 2 kids) anytime we visit Leeds (Morley). Rooms are quite spacious and clean. A room comfortably sleeps 4 on a short stay and when we need 2 rooms, we can get connecting rooms. Location is just off the motorway and about 15 minutes drive into Leeds City centre Would highly recommend!

Brought a new starter for an induction meeting at the Village Hotel Leeds South. Asked to speak to the manager who came down and couldn't be more helpful. He offered us a package which was perfect. It was the V works Pod, just what we needed. Quiet space and HDMI cable to connect my laptop which was more efficient. Would 100% recommend this for anyone needing some quiet space and having meetings for no more than 6 people. I will be using this in the future and bringing my clients here for meetings.

Self and 2 friends stopped there last friday expecting to go out into the city but after a couple of beers in the bar we never shifted ! Busy, good food plenty choice of beer and even had a singer on . Rooms were clean , modern and spacious, breakfast spot on ( though no black pudding!) and the gym was lively . Really impressed from the moment we checked in and happened to meet one of the management (Sarah ) the tone was set .A french rugby team arrived back from their match at Huddersfield Giants about midnight and they provided good entertainment . Memorable stop Recommended

Stayed with my friends on Friday night and had a great time in the bar, great friendly staff throughout the hotel especially the housekeeping team as we were a little late leaving our rooms but they were fab! Lovely hotel and would highly recommend if staying in Leeds! Thanks for a great time, we’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I booked this hotel after we got tickets to a Leeds game and we where travelling 5 hours to attend. The hotel is easily accessible and easy to find (even for those not familiar with the earlier) When we arrived the front of house staff where very friendly and helpful. We arrived at our room and we where blown away with how luxurious it felt, considering we only paid budget prices. In our room we had a lovely large window, we where overlooking the motorway, however the windows had great noise cancelling properties a d we could hear nothing from the road. The room was decorated in a contemporary style and the finishing touches where great, especially the plug sockets near the head board so phones could be charged easily. The bathroom was lovely with a rain fall shower. We also booked breakfast and a swim. The breakfast had a good selection from cooked foods to cereal and continental options. The pool was lovely, a small jacuzzi style pool off the main pool was lovely. The pool was clean and well maintained, aswell as access to the pool there was use of a sauna which was again well maintained. In the changing rooms use of dryers and hair straighteners was free which was a nice little touch

This is a good modern budget hotel. The rooms are nicely decorated and the bed and pillow are very good. There is a great bar and restaurant that has a popular menu to offer. Breakfast was a very good buffet. The staff are nice and helpful. I'd happily use the hotel again.

Hotel reception team are nice and friendly. Rooms are very average and are not good value for money. We had a number of issues with our room and as it was only a one night stay it was a very below average stay. No TV remote, one set of towels, a flooding bathroom. It’s fine for a one night stay but for the money you pay it’s not represented in the quality or location.

Good hotel, lovely well equipped rooms and whilst staying in a heatwave, the air conditioning was very welcome. Restaurant food was fine, healthy choices (chicken quinoa salad tasty) or standard fare burgers, wraps etc. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Hotel team friendly and service without issue. Lovely to have access to the gym and pool. Free parking and easy access to hotel.

The snacks and soft drinks very tasty, it's been served hot snacks. The staff is very friendly, and they have lot of patience and they always served with patience and spoken with smile. The party hall ambience/decoration is excellent. We had community party event. This hotel is superb for party. Many of my friends who has attended this party decided to do celebrate further parties here only. The kids enjoyed a lot, very spacious party hall. The dinner food has lot of varieties, very tasty. The food is absolutely beautiful, we can really tell the chef has put a lot of effort into making the food so special. Everything is so fresh and flavorsome. The staff is very cute and warm welcoming. I would 100% recommend this to my friends or anyone. --Ashok
