We
booked
a
2
night
weekend
stay,
Friday
-
Sunday.
There
was
plenty
of
parking
spaces
available.
check
in
process
was
quick
and
easy.
The
room
was
clean
apart
from
a
few
marks
on
the
inside
bathroom
door,
the
bedding
was
clean
and
smelled
fresh.
The
light
in
the
foyer
did
not
work
and
nor
did
the
light
over
the
dressing
mirror
so
getting
ready
meant
using
the
bathroom
which
was
steamy
and
humid
following
showering
so
it
was
far
from
ideal.
The
bedside
light
switched
we're
a
bit
hit
and
miss
too,
sometimes
not
working
the
first
time.
The
room
was
nice
but
clearly
old
and
well
used,
the
side
table
laminate
has
come
away
from
the
boards
and
it
looks
scruffy
and
is
a
perfect
place
for
pathogenic
growth.
On
the
Saturday
early
evening
the
heating
stopped
working,
there
is
no
phone
in
the
room
so
I
tried
the
web
chat
which
I
had
to
download
the
app
and
sign
in
to
access.
After
about
15
minutes
of
waiting
for
a
human
response
I
rang
the
number
I
found
on
Google
because
it
is
not
available
anywhere
on
the
room.
After
getting
through
the
automated
system
I
spoke
to
someone
who
advised
she
would
send
someone
to
fix
the
heating.
Shortly
after
a
lovely
lady
arrived
and
stated
that
the
fan
wasn't
working
at
all
and
said
do
you
want
me
to
bring
you
a
heater.
I
obviously
said
yes,
it
was
7
degrees
outside
and
going
to
get
colder
overnight.
She
quickly
brought
an
oil
filled
radiator
that
needed
to
be
plugged
in
so
it
had
to
be
put
very
close
to
the
bedside.
It
made
the
room
warm
enough
when
in
bed
but
the
room
was
not
warm
enough
to
sit
in
without
a
sweater
and
the
bathroom
was
too
cold
to
shower
in.
We
were
not
offered
a
room
change.
Breakfast
is
£10
for
a
buffet
but
I
only
eat
toast
so
it
did
not
offer
value
for
me
so
I
used
the
onsite
Starbucks
which
was
ok.
I
did
ask
if
breakfast
was
available
as
room
service
through
the
hotel
but
this
was
not
available.
We
used
the
restaurant
on
Saturday
evening.
We
ordered
a
burger
and
fries,
a
cheeseburger
and
fries
a
glass
of
water
and
a
pint
of
Budweiser,
it
cost
£35.
The
burgers
were
not
freshly
cooked
and
this
was
obvious
due
to
the
time
between
ordering
and
serving.
The
burgers
were
both
missing
advertised
ingredients,
on
had
just
a
small
slice
of
lettuce
and
no
tomato,
the
other
had
no
relish
and
a
wedge
of
onion
which
was
a
bit
odd.
The
fries
were
ok
and
the
coleslaw
was
vile,
it
tasted
like
the
cheapest
available.
The
food
was
nowhere
near
good
enough
for
the
price
and
I
would
not
consider
eating
in
the
restaurant
again.
The
drinks
were
good.
This
was
our
10th
year
of
visiting
this
hotel
but
I
think
this
will
be
our
last
visit
as
it
no
longer
meets
the
standards
that
I
have
come
to
expect
and
for
a
few
pounds
more
per
night
we
can
stay
in
the
city.
The
decline
in
the
hotel
and
restaurant
standards
has
tipped
the
balance
so
that
staying
a
20
minute
drive
out
of
the
city
is
no
longer
worth
it.
