Avoid, for a 5 star the rooms have no sound proofing. Noise from the road and night club will ensure no sleep. Several better options nearby. Tourist trap in marrakech

Service of HK needs improvement. Breakfast is great. Rooms are nice but are missing a lot of details. No coffee machine in the room in a sofitel is surprising!! (Just some Nescafé sachets). No amenities in the toilet except the basic!

This hotel exceeded expectations. We were greeted with wonderful hospitality, and provided with complimentary tea and macarons. Once we went to our room, we had more pastries awaiting us, a great room and a peaceful patio. The L’hivernage location has a lot of restaurants, bars, and clubs nearby, while also being walking distance to the Medina. This is a lovely hotel to go to after a busy day exploring the Medina.

I have a food allergy and was eating a meal in Morocco for the first time. The service at the L'Orangerie restaurant was excellent and the server made suggestions that allowed us to have a delicious meal without worry. The food was delicious!

My name is Dora Iakova. I had a two week stay at the hotel for business and had an overall favorable impression until my checkout. The person could not print my bill and did not know how to put in the system my frequent stay number. After checking out, I sent multiple emails and made several phone calls to the hotel trying to get credit for my stay and they hanged up on me - no one wanted to or knew how to help me with a simple request. I have stayed in more than a thousand hotels around the world and this is the first time this has happened to me. So be aware that the administrative service is really poor. For comparison, the Movenpock hotel on Geneva where I stayed right after that credited my account immediately after I sent them an email.

Staying at the Sofitel Marrakech was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in a world of opulence and hospitality. The hotel’s stunning modern architecture, lush gardens, and impeccable attention to detail left me in awe. The staff’s warmth and professionalism made me feel like royalty throughout my stay. My room was a haven of comfort and elegance, with views of the city and Mountains, The central location allowed me to explore Marrakech’s medina with ease. I left with cherished memories and a deep appreciation for the Sofitel Marrakech’s commitment to excellence. I can’t wait to return to this remarkable oasis. A big thank you to Touria Ahmed who made my stay being a great experience! Vincent

One of the nicest places I’ve ever been to. I enjoyed the vibes with my lovely partner in this aesthetic l’orangerie restaurant. . and had to explore new Moroccan food, they tasted like heaven. The staff are super friendly and caring. Thanks to the manager souhaila Oumaima and Amine have assisted us and showed us where to sit. Mr Hicham and kabir took good care of us. Redouan and Tarik were the coolest and kindest bar men I’ve ever met. Additionally, the waiters Anas, Soufiane, Ali and Imad have done everything perfectly.. I was impressed by the amount of hard work and professionalism provided by the staff. It was totally worth it and deserves a do over !

Me and my friends had lunch by the poolside on the day we arrived at the hotel. The food was amazing and the service impeccable. I would like to thank the following staff at the pool lounge: Ilyass, Noureddine, Ayati, Jamal, Ayoub, Farid and Benrahal. I would definitely recommend this hotel and lunch by the poolside.

Some of the people working are rude. I was carrying a bag that doesn’t have food. Only snacks like chips and chocolate for my kids. When I arrived to the hotel the security started shouting at me in French!!! I realized he was saying no food allowed. And guess what?? Why will I go and book 2 nights and bring my food to the hotel?? Why he was shouting and talking to me as if I was asking for food??!! I complained to the management but unfortunately they didn’t do anything. The spa there is very nice

Came here on the recommendations on TA and it didn’t fail to impress. First class service and we ate in the restaurant L’Orangerie on the terrace listening to live music. We had a light dinner and wine and the atmosphere was delightful. Gardens and pool are beautiful. Definitely recommend a visit here.

What a delightful experience at Restaurant L'Orangerie! From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that set the stage for a wonderful evening. The food was simply outstanding - each dish was a masterpiece of flavors, expertly crafted. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel truly special. L'Orangerie is a culinary gem that deserves every accolade. It's the perfect destination for anyone seeking a refined dining experience. We can't wait to return!

Although we did not stay at Sofitel Marrakesh Palais Impérial, we had the opportunity to visit the hotel and enjoy the traditional Moroccan mint tea in the stunning garden by the swimming pool. The outdoor area of the hotel is absolutely fantastic, offering a serene and relaxing ambiance that is perfect for unwinding and escaping from the hustle and bustle of the city. The lobby of the hotel is equally impressive, with a refined and elegant design that exudes luxury and sophistication. The attention to detail is apparent, and it is clear that the hotel has been meticulously designed to provide guests with the ultimate in comfort and style. Overall, even though we only had the chance to enjoy the outdoor area and lobby, we were extremely impressed with the level of quality and attention to detail at Sofitel Marrakesh Palais Impérial. The hotel has clearly been designed with the utmost care and attention, and we would definitely consider staying here on a future visit to Marrakesh.

We are staying here now, and it has not been the experience I had hoped for. Arguably, we had a very trying day at the airport, ultimately ending with our flight being cancelled. We used Expedia to find a nice hotel with an airport shuttle, and were pleased to see that Sofitel had rooms available. With my wife having never stayed at one, I felt it would make up for the challenging day we've had by having a luxurious overnight. The issues started at check-in. After waiting 10 minutes behind other guests, we were first confronted to provide our confirmation from Expedia, the reason being that they didn't have our reservation in their system (??) and had to discuss with a manager. It had been 60-90 minutes since we'd made the reservation, so it felt a bit embarrassing that we had to prove we weren't making it up. Then, we were told we would have to go sit and wait while the confirmed it. Again, this after waiting 10m in line, being challenged on our reservation, then having to go sit while the waited on other customers was so outside what I have personally experienced at any hotel or resort. Made worse by my wife having to experience this, after I spoke so highly of the hotel. Then, when she went back to the front desk to ask for water, they decided to relay through her the request from my CC for incidentals, rather than making the effort to walk over and address me directly, which they said they would do. It was a long walk to our room, which itself is very nice. The front desk told me that dialing '9' would reach her, and the bellman told us that the TV could be changed to the english language. And, there was a placard with a QR code that presumably would supplement the TV, to include being able to order room service. Nothing worked. First, the TV wouldn't do anything but show "Sofitel", then go to a blue screen. And the QR code gave a message saying it was no longer valid. Finally, dialing '9' several times only kept ringing. I thought I assuredly had misheard her. So, it me taking the long walk back to the front desk. There, they challenged me on the QR code, offering another placard, this time I could show them the message "Menu not available" which seemed to surprise them. Then, they confirmed that '9' was the number to dial, and when they learned it wasn't being answered, called 'someone' and seemed to chastise them for not answering. Finally, the TV - they said they would send someone up, They have not. We're not even 2 hours into our stay here, but I needed to vent. This has been an embarrassment to me, as I spoke so highly of this hotel on the way here, only to have my wife experience something we've not had to go through in all our years of travel adventures (averaging 6-8 trips a year, mostly international). Overall, I have a feeling of being marginalized. The front desk's attitude towards these issues seems indifferent, and I don't understand why. No one seemed concerned that the reputation of the hotel is being besmirched by these issues. Regardless, while we will return to Marrakech, we have no interest in staying here again. I can't recommend it, and suggest that if even one of these occurrences befall you that you address it immediately with the management and request a cancellation if not to your satisfaction.

Firstly we booked one of the larger suites. The room difference between a regular room and a suite is a curtain, a couch and an extra tv all in the same room. We showed up and the restroom was dirty and did not drain, and over flooded into the living space. Customer service is terrible made us wait around and passed the puck for hours for another issue we had. Overall the worst part of Marrakech.

Hotel is lovely and staff very helpful Our dining experience at L'Orangerie serving Morrocan & International cuisine was quite good. We enjoyed our delicious entrees: Lamb shoulder w/couscous & Stuffed Saddle of Lamb. We had a lovely view of the terrace which also seats for dining al fresco. Souhaila manages a wonderful team including Chef Kebir, Amine, charming hostesses, Mounia &Trabihi, and the friendly & helpful wait staff.
