The Kasbah on the top of the hill is another one than the one described in the reviews. The one on top of the hill has a nice exterior, but is a site in decay. The Kasbah of Tamnougalt is more interesting to see. This one has some old elements and has been partially restored. We had the pleasure to have a small tour among the different parts of it (Islamic and Jewish) with the possibility of going on the roof. Nice experience.

Visiting Hassan's 15th century Kasbah Des Caids home was straight out of a dream. For the past 8 years he has lovingly restored his 7th generation family home. I felt so close to the earth and welcomed into this magical place. I didn't want to leave. What a dreamy oasis in the valley of the beautiful mountains, earth and sky. Thank you Hassan.

Nice Kasbah - we had a lovely tour. It can be hard to find because it is hidden behind some walls and a narrow archway. But you can leave your car in front of the archway and walk the rest (2 minutes) The tour lasts up to 60 minutes and you can see the kasbah, the garden and the old souk. The entrance fee is 20 DH per person and a tip for the guide. The tour is interesting and our guide knows a lot about the history of this kasbah (see pictures) If you are nearby it is worth a visit. It isn't that crowed like the kasbahs in ouarzazate.

Pretty Kasbah. Part of the latest Aladin movie was made here. Just watch out for the fake guides, again...

Arrived at night not having any expectations. In the morning on the terrace we were greeted by mountains all around, an oasis of palm trees, the length of the Kasbah, and the sunrise.

Really cool Kasbah. The gardens were the best part honestly and adjacent to some in use by the locals, with a path further down leading to the river. The guide pushed onto us ended up being 60 DH for a 15 minute tour (on top of the 20dh entrance fee) and it felt very rushed. We preferred strolling through the gardens ourselves.

Truly beautiful, welcoming, friendly, unique, a fabulous must do Moroccan experience. So much history. Hassan and all the staff are really helpful and informative. Highly recommend the tagine cooking class and you must join in the evenings drumming. So much fun. A highlight of our trip

I can tell that the Kasbah was great. But I can give you advise about entrance and guide fee(It's not tip. Definitely, It's fee). The entrance is 20 DH per person. Before even going inside you should ask about the tour and guide fee. Because before we did the tour, we met two british visitors who only paid 40 DH and from us he wanted 100 DH and became unpleasant. It's not about the money but his behaviour destroyed the good experience in the Kasbah.

Amazing place to stay and enjoy the views, the gardens, the traditional rooms and the berber culture and hospitality. I stayed for 2 nights with my friends and Hasan was an amazing host. I want to come back one day because I will surely miss their wonderful food, dancing, singing and good mood.

Ignoring the faux "guides" at the entrance, went into Chez Yakob and asked if they knew where to get tickets. They phoned the official guide, a young man called Moorad, who sold is the tickets and gave us a very nice tour as well. 20D pp for the tickets and 100D for the tour.

Beautifully restored kasbah, well explained by a local guide. Entrance fee 20 dh, well deserved and needed for the ongoing restoration efforts.

A fascinating place to wander around, better with a guide who will show you the inside and introduce you to the men constantly renovating this amazing structure. They receive no grant (unlike Ait Ben Haddou) so depend on tourism to help them continue the renovations. Highly recommended.

A magic place - both a musuem as well as a hotel - run by extremely friendly and welcoming people. A unique experience in Morocco and a must in case you are in the area: highly recommended. Moreover, the food is amazing too! Thank you - choukran P.S.: I almost forgot to mention: the Kasbah offers the best view in the area
