Ice cream sundae heaven. To be honest, the food is kinda mediocre, but we’re all here for the ice cream. This is a nostalgic visit for me and I leave with a happy belly of ice cream every time. No complaints here :)

I took my kids here for dinner last week. It wasn’t busy during the time we were there, but none of the tables in our surrounding area were cleared. No one wants to look at dirty tables and floors when they are trying to enjoy their food. The kicker for me though, was the additional charge added to my bill for “one small slice of lemon” in my diet soda. That’s absurd, that the restaurant charges 30 cents for a slice of lemon. Now, the following week the kids and I ate dinner at a restaurant comparable in menu and price to Friendly’s. I asked for a lemon for my diet soda, and the picture below shows what I received….at no additional cost. You can do better than this Friendly’s!

Service was good. Music was loud and horrible! Clam chowder was delicious; however the lobster roll (classic) was not worth it. Roll tasteless and too large, very tiny portion of lobster meat, lots of wet lettuce with celery without taste. $100.00 for three people! We each had a small ice cream sundae after meal. Big disappointment, the lobster fest! The fish and chips was okay and burger was passable.

I ordered crispy chicken salad there was like one piece of chicken it it., not even a whole egg and no crispy noodles . Lady stated they were out of them . They should have asked me if I still wanted the salad with no noodles and they should put something else to complete the salad in return . It is way overpriced for the money. Also they say free sundae yet you have to open an app which is horrible . There are so many apps on phone who wants another one .I decided to go to Friendly again on sept 4 . I ordered clams and fries and coleslaw and I was surprised they finally separated the fries and clams so you know exactly what you are getting . I was happy . The food was good the price still high but food was good. The service was excellent but place was quiet. The coleslaw has the exact amount of Mayo . Not too much and. Not too little. Today I would give it 4 stars .

Friendly’s went down hill. They use to be so much better . The food quality is awful and the service is terrible. I understand it’s hard to get people to work but it shouldn’t be that slow and poor . I’ve been to other restaurants where they were understaffed and the service was fine . Also it’s not worth what you pay either . Friendly’s should just stick to ice cream and not have the food anymore . The ice cream is very good and has always been great !

My childhood memories come back to me every time I eat here. If not for the mozzarella sticks, it's gotta be the Reuben sandwich. I always enjoy having a Reuben from one of the only Friendly's in the area!

I don’t know what is going with the salads at friendlys it is either to little or Iceberg Lettuce, who still uses bitter iceberg. The worst salad ever and this is my second but last time wasting my money. Salad house of Morristown is worth my money. My essential co workers did nothing but complain we order 4 salad and no one was satisfied. We now eating donuts.

Shame on you Friendly's for charging $15 for a cheeseburger and 14 fries to go with it,AND no drink.I took a picture but i csnt post pictures on here.Yous gotta do better than this. Not sure if it was because I had a to-go order or what but I'm not happy with today's visit.

Don’t know how this place has 4 star reviews. Place is a dump. Straight up dirty with stains on the walls and cluttered corners. My utensils were given to me with old crud on it. So disgusting. I took two bites of my food and left. Uncaring employees sitting around and clearly don’t want to be bothered. Holes in the booths. Calling the food average is an overstatement.

We were traveling with eight people and a dog. We're from Ohio and we love Friendly's. We don't have them in our state anymore. The waitress let the three teens order their food to go so they could sit outside with the dog at a table. She took care of the other five of us inside. She was calm, efficient, friendly, and quick. Food was great.... Ice cream even better! Highly recommend!

I would normally give them a better score because we have had good experiences in the past. But our last visit was not good. The food was good, and the service was fair. Two things were a problem. The first was ants. We noticed sugar ants on our table while we were eating. I had one on my dessert menu and showed the waitress. She pulled the menu out of my hand, set it in the booth across from us, and handed me a menu from that booth. She never said anything and didn't seem to care that there were ants. Then, when we asked for a to-go container, She brought one that had food stains in it! When we said something, she just took it back to the kitchen. Not very encouraging.

This Friendly's in Morristown is always a hit. Great for things like burgers and fried food, though this visit they had the surprise addition to their menu of lobster rolls (and it was incredibly delicious). And of course, you can't go to Friendly's and not get ice cream! Huge sundaes or milk shakes, with lots of toppings options. And the staff are always attentive and welcoming.

The server was not friendly (your name sake) upon greeting me at the table! She NEVER checked on me. Because I had a coupon for a free Sundae, I think she was not expecting a tip. I gave her the benefit of the doubt for having a bad day & left her a dollar anyway. The place was near empty, she had NOTHING else to do. I had to go up front to ask for the lemons she was supposed to bring. At that point I just decided I would do her job, so I bused the table too. Average place with average food. The usual, food you get is not what the picture shows. One good thing is, nice location, nice neighborhood. Oh, my wife loved the lobster soup.

Decent spot for that old school feels servers are obviously friendly. Menu is still big but different from when I was a kid. They have many classic American options. My friend got the chicken tenders and I got the chicken wrap. Food was decent. My wrap was pooping out honey mustard. There was definitely a heavy pour. Waffle fries were a bit more crispy than expected and the onion rings were good. Dessert had many options and they were good but in my opinion too much of the toppings were added.

I remember the Friendly's of my youth, where the wait staff were pleasant , the food tasty and let's not forget the ice cream!!! Well ....definitely not what I experienced today. No gluten-free free rolls or lettuce leaves? Really? The "smashed" burger was dry and overcooked. And the wait staff have forgotten the importance of tips! Ugh.....never again.

Hey if you want an Old Fashioned soda and burger shop experience you gotta try Friendly’s. While attending a wedding we stopped in for a snack. They have a complete menu of American dishes that looked soooo yummy 😋. We started with the New England Clam Chowder. Wow 🤩 So creamy and loaded with clams and potatoes. Super delicious. I’m sorry I didn’t try more on the menu but I have reservations for dinner and couldn’t eat twice. Lol. Though I wanted too. So we decided to try a shake and ice cream 🍨. Very good and worth the calories. Enjoy.

I’m actually scared to eat my food. This place is dirty just like another person said in a review. I ordered to go and 1 of the staff was eating in the kitchen and walking around wiping her mouth. They don’t have any hair nets either. Portions look small for the money. $15 for the sandwich and it was undercooked. I’m so disappointed because I use to love Friendly’s

This place was great! I had the Doritos burger was GREAT! Our waiter Filipe by was so nice! No complaints here!!

Can somebody, please, update the phone number for this place? It would be great to be able to place an order and pick it up later. In and out. I know the place can get busy, and I wouldn't want to congest the entrance.

Service is good and some of the staff are happy, food is okay. But place is TERRIBLE DIRTY - NEED HUGE CLEANING. I got half cooked chicken nugget in order of onion rings. Nothing special to make u come back, those that say ice cream is soooo good - it’s just regular ice cream huh not some home made special ingredients one of a kind ice cream JUST SIMPLE ICE CREAM AS ANY OTHER ANYWHERE ELS

Good food, very friendly wait staff, and reasonable prices make this a great place to enjoy a meal or ice cream with families / especially with kids.

I had done carry out. Chicken tasted like it’s been washed in Mop water and cooked in old grease . Fries did not taste fresh at all…Straight up nasty. overpriced and poor quality. Do not recommend this place

We used to go to this very Friendly's about 20 years ago when we lived in Morristown when our children were little. It was the children's favorite place. This wasn't quite thr experience we remember. The food was ok, but the service was adequate, but the server was rude and at times mean. She didn't get our order correct and was mad when I asked her to correct it. And then when she brought it back the condiments were left off. She was so rude about the whole ordeal, I didnt even ask for the dip again. We went back to NJ for a walk down memory lane, but this was not the highlight of that trip.

Food and prices poor. This location needs to change the oil in their fryer. The oil was old and the chicken was over cooked and dry. Under staffed, and kitchen did a horrible job on the orders. Server was poor, also.

Still a good place for a sandwich for lunch. I enjoyed the brisket melt.

I haven't been to a Friendly s in a long time. They have changed. So clean, waitress was AMAZING 🤩. I didn't see the "patty melt" on the menu and the waitress made one for me. It was DELICIOUS! The whole experience was A+. Definitely would return.

I have always loved Friendly's and have been coming here for years. Food was great - service was great. I haven't been here for for awhile and came for lunch yesterday. I was disappointed in the quality of food - something has changed and not for the better. And I was shocked that you have now discontinued breakfast, which was one of my favorites. Friendly's was known for their great breakfast and now it's gone.
